Oh my gosh! So great! I ate at the original (it's moved from Oak Street to a super cute bigger and nicer location at 2722 E McDowell (5 mins from old location). I Yelp'd the first time about how great the rice is (along with everything else). Today, just as great! I had three street tacos and rice/beans. Beans are great. Rice as great as before (light, with a hint of flavor). The Pastor taco meat was fantastic. Carne asada was great. All prices are on the LOW end (I eat out almost every meal at Mexican food places and this was a way better deal than the taco truck yesterday (a great taco truck, BTW at 3rd St and Buckeye). Basic tacos are $1.50! Pricing is very competitive. Flavor isn't bad but not as good as the one up north. Not sure if they're from the same owner. The meats seem a little dryer than I prefer. Onions and cilantro are also very little... probably wont be back for this. read more

My group of 7 didn't wait more than 10 minutes for our food to be ready! Everything tasted fresh, perfectly seasoned, and generous portions at a good price! I love their salsa bar with spicy, medium and mild options. Not sure how well the food would do as take out, but Tacos Huicho has a cool vibe and plenty of seating so I don't mind eating there. The reason why I love coming here is because you're not going to find any other place in the valley that sells high quality tacos with a low price as Huicho. Don't let the rough neighborhood stop you from visiting this hidden gem. There's usually a line throughout the day but it moves fairly quickly to get your order. Huicho has a Taco Tuesday deal where certain tacos are cheaper than others but do expect a longer wait on this day. Now the best tacos that you can't go wrong with are the pastor, cabeza, and carne asada. If I'm being honest I think they're all good but those types are usually my go to. This is definitely always a must stop for tacos when I come home to visit my family in Phoenix. If you couldn't tell by the constant line that this place has, you truly cannot be disappointed. There are different options alongside there delicious tacos. There items range from quesadillas, to tortas, to burritos etc. My go to when I come here is always the 3taco combo with rice and beans. I always opt for the tacos al pastor which are my absolute favorite. The meat always so flavorful and cooked to perfection. This place is located in a neighborhood next to a freeway. Parking can be scarce and the wait for a table can sometimes take a short wait. I ordered two tacos (1 al pastor & 1 carne asada) chips&salsa, and a side of retried beans. It was only like $9!!! The al pastor was sooo good, very flavorful & slow roasted. The carne asada was tasty too! Both topped with cilantro & onions. I loved the salsa bar that had a few salsas (the avacado salsa was my fave) and also 2 bottles of housemade hot sauces on the table. Yum! All in all, this taqueria serves up some real deal tacos at a great price. My bf and I are very pale skin and when we parked we walked in like no worries but the service we got was less then optimal but maybe it's not frequented by pale skin clearly gay men. Lol. But we will be back and I will tell you why. Green Chile, red Chile and dulce tamales. Omg... yum!!! Horchata was not the best so skip it. Mushroom quesadilla had so many mushrooms it was crazy. Tacos are their thing. We tried tongue. I'm still screaming but I said settle down buddy. If they're eating it. So can you is what I said to myself. Order was not packed correctly, beans spilled. Burrito was greasy, more than it should be. Seemed like it was the leftover meat of the day, that they served us. The chicken quesadilla had a bad flavor and the texture of the meat was not good. We only had to taste them to realize it was not worth eating. Service was so slow and bad, despite us ordering first many people before us had their takeout food served first. People were not friendly, this a scam if meat tasted spoiled I can imagine the tacos! Simply a scam. Spent 56$ for such a bad experience. Will be nice and say their horchata water was ok.
