I got everything I wanted here at super reasonable prices and the most perfect sized portions. For the first time in a long time, my entire meal was about $10 here! Not too shabby! The service here was straight forward. The guy taking my order was nice and was able to confirm that nothing here was cooked in lard. The bf had a gigantic burrito which he thoroughly enjoyed. First time eating here. Normally I go with their neighbors but my family member said try something new.. I was received with wonderful excellent customer service and he said you're gonna love our food and he was right . I had a simple Carne Asada burrito and not only was the presentation beautiful but the red sauce was the perfect mild sauce. You can ask for it with flavor as well as the meat had wonderful flavor. This dump has been on a steady decline for years. Today was the last time I'll ever set foot in this restaurant. We started eating here way back when it was on old Sonoma road. Back then it was without question the the best Mexican joint in town, the food was great, the service was great, the ambiance was lovely. Then they went out of business for some reason and reopened at the current crappy location by a lumber yard. We continued to eat here because the food was still pretty good, though nowhere near as good as before. Over the years things have been going steadily downhill, with food quality weakening and service being mostly non-existent. This evening we came in and ordered 3 tacos al pastor and an al pastor burrito, the al pastor being the one thing they still do pretty well, though over the last year or so it's gotten really greasy and fatty. After 20 minutes we were told "We're out of pastor." We waited 20 minutes before being told they're out of the ONE thing we came here for. Never again. Wow! Our burritos were stuffed with chicken, and I mean stuffed! Great flavor. We got the super burritos and they had sauce all over the top and were huge! Really enough for two people but we did each have our own! Super friendly people, and just a very small little restaurant on Jefferson. It does have its own parking to the left...this building has been here forever and the front door is almost on Jefferson! I will ask for more sauce the next time! Thank you guys! Really wanted this burrito to be awesome. I got the super shrimp burrito even though it costs $16. I was impressed with the size, when I brought it home to split with my wife we both noticed that the shrimp tasted like dirt. Not just a little dirt taste, the whole flavor of the burrito was overtaken by the dirty shrimp taste. Now I feel stupid for paying for a burrito that went into the trash, hoping we don't get sick. To the owners: taste your shrimp! I got two tacos de carne asada and they were awesome! Had a really good chili flavor and great carne asada. Ordered takeout for my family and they want happy with the fish tacos. She charged my 4.99 each for the smallest hardly any fish full of bell peppers onions and tomatoes which made the single tortilla tear upon picking it up out of the takeout box. I like this place. I don't go as often, but they have the best quesadillas. There was this one time I ordered their tacos. It was pretty good. I also like that I get a student discount so that is why I am going there too. And their horchata is also good too! La Plancha (Pastor or Carne) without a doubt is the best I've ever had.. They're huge but get two anyway cause they are so good. Today was Burrito de Camarones. Oh lord!!! Just the right kind of kick, half went home for later. Finally, the people there are exceptional. Nice, fast and they want every dish to be special. Chili Verde Tacos: 5 stars If I ordered just the chili verde tacos here, they would have received a 5 star rating from me! Unfortunately I had to dock a star because their Al Pastor were just mediocre. So do yourself a favor and stick to the Chili Verde Tacos! I have not yet been to another taco joint that serve this so that in itself is amazing. Very flavorful and full of sauce which I love. Would def come back for this next time I'm in Napa Al Pastor Tacos: 3 stars Just your typical Al Pastor tacos. They were not bad but they just weren't extraordinary. The food here is soulless and awful. The asada has huge chunks of gristle throughout the entire burrito. I ask for no cheese, and they put cheese every god damn time. I went into this place today for the first time, while waiting to pick my niece up from the high school across the street. This place is ADORABLE. It's painted a cheerful yellow and just has an all-around good vibe. And the food? I had two DELICIOUS steak tacos with just enough kick for me (I'm a borderline wimp). 2.5 stars. They were open later than most Mexican joints in Napa on a Sunday, so we decided to give them a go. Had driven by countless times, but was pleased to see that they have a nice little parking area to make burrito grabbing easy. We did get there on the later side (30 min. pre-close), but we were aware of this and trying to get through the meal quick, so as to not be those people. Two tacos, an order of flautas, and a super burrito (plus two sodas) set me back $38. Kind of pricey if you're used to Mission burrito prices from SF. The tacos were a-OK -- nothing phenomenal, but nothing to complain about either. Chips and salsa were pretty weak sauce - I think we had 20 chips, total, to split. The salsa was pretty crap. The burrito was big, but it was nothing to write home about. The flavor was on point with the cabeza, but the burrito felt loosely rolled, and the tortilla needed toasting. Burstage abatement was minimal, and while the foil wrapper was a nice touch, this thing would not score high on Burritoeater if it was in the City. Maybe that's my problem, though. I've been spoiled by the likes of El Castallito, Gordo's, EBX, El Farolito -- Napa just doesn't burrito like San Francisco burritos. And that's a shame. Lastly, they are SLOW. It was empty, and the food took 20 minutes. We scarfed it down and were out the door right at eight, but c'mon man - put a motor on it! First and last time visit - my daughter and I got a chicken burrito to go, my husband got chorizo burrito. My husband and I ate ours right away - my daughter saved hers for later although my husband ate about 1/4th of her chicken burrito. It was definitely one of the worst chicken burritos I've ever had - boiled, tasteless shredded chicken. Chips tasted like old grease. I ate most of the burrito anyway since I had nothing else to eat but I tried to pick out as much chicken as I could. Both my husband and I were up sick all night.
