This tiny taco spot is barely bigger than a food truck, tucked into an awkward little spot, but it's become one of my favorite places. Run by a super humble, hardworking family, you can really feel the heart they put into it. The service is always warm and friendly, and watching them work together as a team is genuinely cool. The menu's tight but everything's solid -- tacos, quesadillas, chilaquiles, and more. Just a heads-up: they add beans to almost everything by default, including tacos and quesadillas, so make sure you ask them to hold the beans if you're not into that. I really enjoyed my shrimp taco today. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and a good size and there were a good number of them. It went well with the salsa that was on it and some crunchy cabbage and avocado. I also enjoyed my basic chicharron taco. The chicharron at this restaurant is very gelatinous and soft. It's a real nice change from the crunchy kind. It's very comforting and melts in your mouth. My husband always orders their La plancha tacos which is crispy with cheese inside. His favorites are the brisket and chicharron. Today (Saturday), they had pozole for 17 dollars and change. We ordered it and enjoyed it very much for dinner. I had a ton of pork in it and full of hominy. There was not much liquid and so a little bit goes a long way. It comes with shredded cabbage, hot sauce, radishes, lemon, lime and their excellent crunchy tortilla chips. There was enough for four bowls of pozole soup. One of their daily specials was a chili relleno plate which I am very interested in getting next time for $21. The plating of the food is always very pretty here. The staff is friendly and efficient. And even though the cemetery across the street is not cheerful, it's greenery that you can see from the restaurant. The cemetery reminds you that life is short so eat some tacos. This is definitely my favorite taqueria in the Bay Area. If I didn't have to drive 45 minutes to get here, I would probably come weekly! Definitely recommend! read more

Clean restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Parking is right in front and they ste right next to s liquor store so you can buy snacks and drinks there as well. The cashier did an excellent job describing their food, fhe food came out quickly, and they checked on with us to see if there was anything else we needed. We tried the carne asada tacos, vampiros chicken and al pastor (we learned that it was just like a tostada, and a birria mulito. Food was excellent and my favorite was the vampiros. A hidden gem in East Napa! We live very close to this spot and can't believe it took us so long to try it. I ordered some food for a small gathering that we were hosting, and everything was perfectly delicious! All our guests commented on how fresh and tasty it all was. None of the food was overly greasy, which I always appreciate. The owners/family are incredibly friendly and accommodating. Amazing stop that we'll come back to again!! We were craving a legit taqueria meal after spending a couple days camping in the area. Yelp helped us find this place on our way home from Napa. And bonus points for navigating us there via beautiful Silverado Trail. I ordered the carne asada plate that was loaded with meat and came with home made whole beans and rice, roasted onions, jalapeño, pico de gallo, and fresh avocado. Got it with 2 flour tortillas that were huge and perfectly warmed. My hubby ordered 2 of the specialty mulitas --a soft tortilla on the bottom that os crispy with cheese on top and is filled with meat, whole beans. He ordered his mulitas with carnitas that were crispy /not fatty (perfect). The plate included pico de gallo and a small chopped fresh cucumber bell pepper salad. And we had chips and homemade roasted green and red chili salsa (hot) that added to everything. Both plates were perfectly seasoned (not salty!) and delicious. Our meals were complemented by a pineapple aqua Fresca & Fanta pineapple soda--something i'd never seen & would order again. Fantastic local find and family run business. I went with my boyfriend and we ordered quesabirrias, which we asked if they had since I didn't see it on the menu and they said yes. They forgot our Jamaica, which had a weird rotten taste to it 0/10 and the quesabirrias they gave us were not it, it looked like they were tacos with birria in them, because they had no cheese and they had beans in them. My husband and I recently moved to Napa from San Francisco, and while we've loved exploring the area, one thing we really missed was the abundance of authentic Mexican food we enjoyed in SF. We had our go-to taqueria there, and we had not found a similar place here--until we found El Sabor Serrano. After trying a few spots around town, we decided to give this small, family-run taqueria a shot, and we were absolutely blown away. We ordered the birria tacos and the carne asada torta, and both dishes were perfection. The birria tacos were crispy, with just the right amount of melted cheese, and the meat was flavorful, juicy, and impossible to put down. The carne asada torta was fresh, tender, and perfectly sized--not too big, not too small. The salsas were just as impressive: a mild and tangy salsa verde, a slightly sweet pineapple salsa, and a salsa roja that brought the heat without overpowering the flavors. We also tried two agua frescas: a pineapple one that was incredibly refreshing, and a mixed one made from hibiscus and pineapple, which was delicious. On top of the amazing food, the service made us feel at home. The woman taking our order was so friendly and even came by our table to check on us after we got our food. You can feel they care a lot about both the cooking and the hospitality here. We've already decided we'll be back soon--especially to try their pozole, which they serve on Fridays and Saturdays. read more

I ordered the chilaquiles with chorizo and scrambled eggs...DELICIOUS!!! The staff was friendly and warm and our food was served quickly. A few middle school students came in and didn't have enough $$$ for a taco. They were offered a free taco!!! I commented on the generosity of the restaurant and was told "They're kids. It's the hidden gem of Mexican food in Napa. Located opposite Tulocay Cemetery, it's out of the tourist path, but much appreciated by locals, especially by Coombsville residents. Wonderful family owned and operated restaurant with delicious, high quality, authentic Mexican food. The nicest service ever and the best Mexican food in town. I wish they were available on Door Dash or had delivery for those rare occasions when I have company and it would be more convenient to order delivery rather than pick up. Other than that, this is hands down my favorite Mexican restaurant in Napa. And they have lengua, tripe, beef cheeks, pozole and other authentic Mexican delicacies I appreciate. read more
