This restaurant has potential! It's in a great location and the place itself is nice and large. My experience was okay, the waiter was good but there wasn't a crowd. The enchiladas were okay also, nothing special about them. I don't think i would come back unless its my last resort.

Service was great! We sat outside on a rainy day and their heaters worked great. They were able to accommodate our 10 person group. Their food came in big plates so you will leave here full. Our server was friendly and readily available.

Visited 1/20/26. Taqueria maria never disappoints. Staff always very friendly and attentive . Got seated right away. Plenty of complementary chips and salsa. We did enchiladas and taco dinner. Delicious carne asada, carnitas , rice and beans. Salsa had great flavors. You cant go wrong with this spot!

MARIAS MOLCAJETE is a must try! It came out piping hot with a mix of corn and flour tortillas and a plate of rice, beans, salsa, and guac. Staff come by with drinks and complementary chips and salsa too! It's a casual sit down restaurant with ample parking, unlike a lot of places in Napa! I got some pastor tacos to-go which were great as well.

They getting stingy in the civiche if you're going to put it in a large container, I don't understand why they don't just charge you how much it would cost to fill up the entire container. I come here all the time and all the other times I've ever come a large is usually filled to the brim. It's $20. The last time I came I asked them if they could fill it up to the top. They told me it would be seven dollars to fill it up. I'm just having a hard time wrapping my head around what is going on with this ceviche? This is even less than what I got last time. I'm not becoming a fan of this. They might as well put it in a small container you're just wasting half of a container and still charging the same amount

As someone from a Hispanic household, finding truly good Mexican food can be a challenge--but Taqueria Maria never disappoints! This place is hands-down my go-to when I'm craving authentic flavors. My boyfriend and I stopped by on a Wednesday evening and from the moment we walked in, the service was great. We were greeted right away and offered the choice of indoor or outdoor seating, which we appreciated. Throughout our meal, our waiter checked in on us just enough--not overbearing, but attentive--which made the experience even better. We started off with two Micheladas--absolutely delicious and HUGE! Perfectly spiced, refreshing, and a great way to kick things off. I ordered the shrimp cocktail, and let me tell you--it was loaded with shrimp! They're generous with the portions, and the fresh avocado really made a difference. So flavorful and super authentic. My boyfriend got his usual, the chimichanga, and said it was just as good as always. Some of our other favorites here are the shrimp quesadilla and the aguachiles--both full of flavor and worth trying. And don't even get me started on their agua de horchata... easily one of the best in the Napa area. Creamy, not too sweet, and super refreshing. Bonus: On Fridays, they sometimes have live Mariachi, which adds a fun and festive vibe to your night. Highly recommend Taqueria Maria if you're looking for real Mexican food, great service, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.

What a great find! This restaurant is very nice. Super friendly staff. There is plenty of parking and inside and outside seating. Eduardo was our super great waiter today. Very attentive. The food came out fairly quick and there was certainly a lot on the plates. There was 6 of us and everyone commented that their food was delicious. I eat a lot of Mexican food and this is rated in my top ten! Mucho delicious!!!

Tasty lunch at Taqueria Maria in Napa today. I dined on the sunny (and shaded) front patio. There is also a patio overlooking the Napa River. Large menu and I opted for the two taco plate ($17) with two carnitas tacos, choice of beans and rice. I also added on a shrimp taco ($4.50). The carnitas was tasty and moist. However, the shrimp taco was absolutely delicious and one of the best I've had in a long time. I like how the shrimp were chopped up. Each taco also had a mild salsa on it. I am in the genetic club that thinks cilantro tastes like soap, so I often order my tacos without it if I can, hence no cilantro. The chips were fresh and crisp. The salsas were great. I also got a complimentary order of their housemade habanero salsa. The restaurant also has a full bar and NA beer options. Friendly and efficient service and I was in and out fairly quickly. Lots of families were coming in to dine for lunch - a total local on 3rd Street between Soscol and Silverado Trail.

    Hair in the nachos

I've come to this restaurant a few times and wanted to bring a guest from out of town. We all had a late lunch and still thought we'd grab a small bite (just so our guest can try some Mexican food). We ordered nachos, and burritos. Towards the end of the nachos, there was a hair on the bottom. Attached in the picture. I showed the hair to the waiter Julio. Instead of apologizing or anything he looked at it and walked away. He didn't even acknowledge it, didn't take the plate away or anything. I called another waiter and he was nice and removed the plate. I walked up to the front to pay and mentioned the hair. Julio gave me attitude and "goes well you ate most of it." I mentioned to him the hair was on the bottom, I didn't notice it until the end. He started to be rude and gave me more attitude instead of being apologetic. Then later goes fine I'll take off the charges. All we needed was acknowledgment and maybe an apology. Not that I needed any money back. My guest works in the food industry and was shocked by the behavior as well. He took off the charges then aggressively ripped the receipt and slammed the receipt and pen on the counter. I also noticed no one covered their hair in the kitchen. I will never be returning here again.

Shrimp Aguachile; and plate with one carnitas taco and a cheese chile relleno, served with spanish rice and black beans; sooo good

The guacamole was the best I've ever had, fresh, vibrant, and full of flavor. The salsas were light yet flavorful, and the corn was delicious. The presentation was minimalistic but still managed to stand out. The carne asada tacos were a generous portion, and the fresh tortillas made all the difference. Everything our table ordered was delicious, cooked perfectly, and well-presented. The kitchen definitely knows what they are doing. The Service Unfortunately, the dining experience was really let down by how rushed we felt. Throughout the night, it felt like the front-of-house staff was on a mission to flip our table as fast as possible. Servers were constantly hovering and picking up plates while half of our group was still actively eating. It reached a point where one of my friends was practically interrogated about whether she was finished. They kept coming back to check on her plate so many times that she eventually just gave up, got annoyed, and told them to just take it away before she was even done. It's hard to enjoy great food when you feel like an inconvenience or a timer is ticking down. I'd love to come back for the flavors, but the staff needs to let guests actually breathe and enjoy their meals.
