Got one of their plates option - 3 Moreno Tacos with pastor meat. Tbh, these are some of the best tacos I've ever had and they were bursting with flavor. However, I'd say they were way too greasy. It made the taco shell super soggy, and personally, I'd have enjoyed it more if it was a little more crispy. With that said, I'd definitely stop by if I'm in the area again. Overall, it's pretty good and definitely worth trying! Also, they're located inside a gas station at the very back.

After seeing all of the reviews and all of the elites that is posting about this out of the way taco place, I just had to try it (lol at my reviews and you can see I have a weakness for street tacos lol). As always, ordered 4 tacos (barbacoa, carnitas, beef, and chicken), but also decided to get a churro this time. Starting with the tacos. They were very good and unsure which I liked first. They had a slight crunch from the grill (the corn tortilla) and they gave 1 of each hot sauce. Unfortunately, to me neither hot sauce had any luck to it, which was kinda disappointing. The tested very good, though, and the green one had a weird thickness to it (usually taco places have hot sauce that is more liquidity, but thicker hot sauce means it doesn't last as long.. the thicker one was barely enough for 2 tacos). The churro was really good as well. They have a choice between vanilla, caramel, or plain. I got the vanilla since the other 2 are offered everywhere. It had good flavor and the perfect amount of crisp. I do have 1 complaint about the building, though. They gave no restrooms. When I asked about a restroom, he was nice enough to let me in to use the one they have in the kitchen, so that was nice. If I'm in the area again, I want a hamburger. Not had a Mexican hamburger with the slice of ham on it, etc, since I was in Mexico for a few weeks, when I was like 18 or 19, and not many places offer those

I finally came in to try their breakfast tacos. Oh man, I've been missing out! I ordered two breakfast tacos with bacon and cheese. Just like their regular tacos, they are not skimping on the filling. These were some hefty tacos. Best part, they griddle the tortillas making them slightly crisp and even more delicious. Add some of the green sauce on there and it is a combination that can't be beat. Yes it is in a gas station. Yes it is on a residential street that is out of the way. And yes the parking lot is a little bumpy. But man, everything thing I have had from here has been surprisingly good. It is quick service, but they take their time and the quality of their food shows it. It is places like this that make you wonder how some of these chains stay open. They are fast food prices, but the quality is superior and the quantity of food is impressive.

After seeing pictures of Tacos Moreno birria tacos I quickly decided to check this spot out. It's located inside of Sammy's Food Mart, which is a corner store in a secluded area in Arlington. You may not expect much because of the appearance, but it's definitely worth trying. I ordered a 6 piece Moreno Taco Plate (birria tacos) with fries (not captured) and I can truly say these are some of the best birria tacos that I've had so far. It was so cheesy and packed with meat, onions and cilantro. The consommé was flavorful and it paired well with the tacos. Besides the food, the lady that took my order was very nice and it didn't take long for my order to be prepared. I enjoyed my total experience and I see myself continuing to support.

If anyone knows me by now, they will know I love these hole in the wall places. This is a Taco shop inside a gas station. The gentlemen who work here, are always friendly and always on it to get the orders cooked quick! Food: - Moreno Taco (7/10): I ordered the al pastor as the meat. Although this is similar to your birria tacos it's not as well marinated or flavorful. But the meat is well cooked and pretty good. It comes with a sauce, I wouldn't say it's consomé because it tastes sweet to me. I was not a fan of this sauce and just use the hot sauce provided. - Tacos (7.5/10): The tacos are pretty good, but I wouldn't say it's the best I've ever had. But for this area in Arlington it is pretty up there! The al pastor, barbacoa, and camaron were all good. Although i would say I would prefer my camaron a bit more crispy and flavorful. Would I go back? No doubt about it. I've actually been back 5 times. They treat you well and provide great food. I'm excited to try some of the other items like their tortas.

I have found some of the best taco joints are located in gas stations, tacos Moreno is no exception. I noticed around noon they get busier, so I order ahead of time. Their chicken fajita and Al pastor tacos are delicious as well as their refried beans. For dessert, I recommend their churro it's delicious and dense. Their red salsa will definitely clear your sinuses and their green salsa is mild but delicious as well. I'll have to try their Moreno tacos next.

Gas Station tacos can be some of the best. These were good, but not the best. However the meat was well seasoned and the crunchy hard shell taco was fresh. The Taco Morano was better. I've been wanting some birria tacos so I made the drive out to this spot with the awesome reviews. It's located in the back of a corner store, but don't let that fool you. This place hits! Ordered the Moreno tacos which are essentially birria tacos. I had the pastor, only downer is I couldn't omit the onions (was told "they were already mixed in") and there wasn't much to the consommé that came with it. The tacos themselves were super flavorful, and the quesadilla was even better! The high marks are deserved, and the cook was very friendly while moving around like a machine! EVER. But ya girl is going to have to start finding gems like this one! I got the taco plate (chicken) with beans and rice- hitting. I heard about this place from my nail tech a few months ago and thought I'd give it a try. The tacos are life! I had a fairly big order and the staff were very understanding and gave great recommendations! The food was made fresh to order and was outstanding! Please treat yourself to the Moreno Tacos! i really wanted to like the food here but it just wasn't worth $3 a piece for the moreno tacos. the tacos came out big but really greasy and no joke i actually threw up because it made me nauseous. i got six of them actually ate 2 and called it a day. the service was nice, if y'all wanna try it for yourself just get 2 tacos. the place is located inside a gas station. read more

This was delicious! Ordered the tacos moreno plate- came with 3 large tacos (I chose pastor), beans & rice with a great dipping sauce. Also got chicken enchiladas plate (3 enchiladas with simple salad, rice & beans) & two beef sopes. Everything was fresh & frankly, the best I've ever had. Will be back for sure! read more

This taco shop is inside a gas station so it's easy to miss, but the Moreno tacos are very delicious. You can choose from a variety of meats, like pastor, Barbacoa, or carnitas and more. The taco itself is pretty heavy but the lime and consommé help cut through with some acidity. The people there were very friendly and I can definitely see myself visiting when I can. read more

Yeah I had to try it! The lamb and beef quesadillas were fire ! I hade the lamb tacos also! Yes I have been there more than once! But let's discuss that Mango Margarita! It was amazing! It tastes like a third trip ... My experiences were pleasant and I admonish you to try it! Don't be fooled by the humble aesthetics - the treasure is within the walls! Good place, authentic food. I asked the owner where he was from and he's from Durango, Mexico which explains the style of cooking. The consumé which is a broth type goes great with the barbacoa. Great taste, love the grilled onions and the breakfast tacos have a good taste to it. Overall it was a great experience and the food is delicious as well for the price. Cannot beat that, if it wasn't for a friend we wouldn't have found this place. Don't judge a book by it's cover. Ps: if your in a diet then this ain't the place but if you want to taste great food check it out you won't be disappointed. read more

The tortillas were fairly good. The space is really big and clean, the employees were very nice. I wish I would've liked the tacos more but they just weren't for me! However, they might be for you, so I would still stop by and give them a try! Maybe you will have better luck or pick a better item on the menu! They did have a lot to choose from.

I'm not big on rice especially because of having braces , however this rice was soooo delicious, so I did my best with eating it and ignoring the discomfort that comes behind it . Personally , I wasn't a fan of the beans but my puppies were fans so for that the beans aren't really apart of this post. Service was mediocre, I felt slightly rushed and unwanted . As a first time customer, I asked questions and was looked at like k should have already known the answers. Overall the food is great I'll definitely be returning . It's small spot so my claustrophobia may restrict me from dinning in but I do plan to return!!

By the time the store opened, the line had grown to being over twenty parties long, so plan accordingly if you don't want to be waiting for a while. Between the four in our party, we shared a three meat BBQ plate with bacon burnt ends, brisket, and their house made sausage. For our two sides, we chose their hatch chile mac n cheese and their Mexican street corn. Following the recommendations of many Yelpers, we also ordered two of the brisket tostadas and two of the birria tacos. When we received our plate of meat, I was a bit surprised at how little of each meat there was on the plate, but in hindsight, this ended up being the perfect amount of food, where everyone was able to get a sample of everything. Of the items we ordered, my favorite was definitely the burnt ends. These were melt in your mouth tender, and was insanely rich and decadent. Each of the three pieces in our order had a beautiful bark on the outside that resulted in a satisfying crunch with every bite. The casing to the sausage was snappy and the sausage itself was very juicy. The brisket was fall apart tender. The brisket was a bit light on seasoning, so I ended up using the Aztec Gold BBQ sauce they had sitting at the table with it. The sides that we chose were both delicious. The pasta in the mac n cheese was cooked perfectly and the noodles was generously sauced. The elote was sweet and smokey, and the Cotija cheese added creaminess to the side. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at Hurtado Barbecue and wouldn't hesitate to recommend a visit if you're in Texas and are looking for great tasting BBQ.
