Let's start with the chips and salsa. I ordered it and was pleasantly surprised it was complimentary. I saw the chips under the hot lamp, so I know they're normally hot, but sadly mine weren't. Maybe they had just replenished it from the morning stash? Im willing to let it go, because they were thick, seasoned and obviously made in-house. The salsa bar...An array of salsa, so I initially tried three. Chile de Arbol, Guacamole Verde and Pico de gallo. Sounds standard, and I'm one that wants to try them all. I didn't have to. They stopped me in my tracks. And oddly there was something different in the pico I can't pinpoint. All I know is it was so fresh and packed with flavor. Brisket taco...tasty and not expecting it chopped. Would have preferred 2 whole slices, though. The tortilla was very greasy, but otherwise soft and well-made. The filling was plentiful. Also had a bean and cheese. Not as greasy. Not as oily. Not the fake whipped beans, either. These are the real deal. A healthy amount of shredded cheddar, not American. I thought I'd start with this and maybe order an enchilada. Nope, stuffed to the brim with these filling, heart tacos. At $10 plus tip, definitely a bargain. The staff is friendly and sweet. Was super excited to try a new taco spot and tacos n salsa hit the spot. Their menu was a bit confusing with so many lunch options that all I needed up with was a pirata taco. The pirata taco was good but a bit skimpy on the meat. My beef in the taco was not like the regular taco meat my coworkers ordered but it was supposed to be. Meat had good flavor. The taco plates are quite expensive. The salsa bar was definitely a hit with some great salsa options and other fixings. My other coworker got the chicken bowl which was basically a bowl of soup! Too much liquid from the beans was added so it was swimming in liquid. I must rave about their soda machine because those drinks were crisp! Tacos N Salsa on Huebner continues to serve AMAZING breakfast tacos. I know they have bowls and such on the menu as well, but I can't stop ordering a breakfast tacos when I swing by. The tortillas are fresh and fluffy, the eggs are light and scrambled to perfection and the portion sizes are fair for the price. They flavor everything so well and have such great salsa options at the salsa bar to take your taco to the next level. The service is always quick and I would consider the inside to be clean considering how many people are usually sitting down and eating when I step in to order. There is a reason this is an award winning taco place. The food is always incredible, the staff is so incredibly kind and hard working, and the interior is always clean and well cared for. The Migas tacos are my go-to. I like to add guacamole and a little red and green salsa to take up the heat a notch! There is nothing better for a taco than a homemade tortilla and TNS is bringing them. So fluffy and soft, just like grandma, or in my case grandpa, made them. I had the chorizo and papas and it was filled to the brim! My friends had a chicharon and a huevos a la mexicana. This place is off the highway with construction but that is not stopping anyone. Tacos N Salsa off Huebner is one of my top two spots to order breakfast tacos. (So, naturally, this is a DoorDash review) I love the selection of tacos available. I always get a trash can, because all the fillings work so well together, and I have yet to find a restaurant that makes carne guisada as good as them. The country sausage and egg is usually what I order the 1st of the month to hide my dog's monthly pill in. He loves this breakfast taco. I think the best thing, aside from how great everything tastes, and how soft and pillowy the tortillas are, are the prices. Stopped by here for some breakfast tacos. We went around 8 am and we were served rather quickly, the business really started to pick up while we were eating. I got the TNS Special, and the Trashcan taco. My boyfriend got the Barbacoa and a carne guisada with cheese. I'll start by saying the Barbacoa was delicious. Not super greasy or fatty, and the flavor was 10/10. The carne guisada - I wasn't a fan of. The gravy had a tomato flavor which I wouldn't typically go for, we love Tommy's carne guisada. My tacos were just okay- nothing too crazy. The TNS special- whatever meat was on it had great flavor, but that's about where it stops. The avocado/guacamole had no flavor, the potatoes were pretty basic.. and Trashcan taco wasn't really impressive imo. The staff was extremely friendly! Where do your favorite tacos in SA come from? For me and my family, Tacos N Salsa is where it's at! How serious is this place about tacos? They have a federal patent on their "Trash Can" taco. My personal favs are the TNS taco and the barbacoa tacos. I appreciate that they readily offer cilantro and onion on your barbacoa tacos. This is the second location I've been to, and this one have more seating available than their location near The Rim. I like the long subway tile and farmhouse feel aesthetics. Hungry for lunch so ran into Taco N Salsa for quick bite they close at 2:00pm even though we walked in 10 minutes before closing they waited on us and girl taking our order was so nice. Small siting space clean with about a dozen tables. Food was so good Tiki Hubby got the Poblano Pepper Bowl and we share cheese Enchiladas lunch. Enchiladas came with delicious dark rich refried beans and some of the best Mexican rice I have had. The cheese Enchiladas had a rich red gravy on them with delicious chucks of meat soooo good. Healthy bowl had fresh meat, beans, peppers over fresh spinach. Of course too much food for us but was good heated up later. We really wanted to try there tacos but went with these delicious choices.
