Out of all the taquerias and Mexican restaurants in the area, this place has been my go-to spot for breakfast tacos for a while now. And I've tried every Mexican restaurant's breakfast tacos around the Churchill HS area for comparison. I love the guero and TNS tacos the most. The quality is pretty consistent. Prices are a little more than average but the it's worth it. Once in a while the tacos might be a little smaller than I like, but for the amount of times I've eaten here, it's ok. I've had smaller tacos from so many other restaurants that it's almost the norm now. The salsa bar is a huge plus so you can change up your flavors but it's a small area so it can take a little bit to get your salsas. Their service is fast and has never been issue. read more

Originally tried to get tacos from the Tacos n Salsa ñ off of 1604 & Vance Jackson. Unfortunately was an early Saturday morning & our usual location was closed. Was very tempted to go to Bills for tacos, unfortunately spouse was not feeling well, & prefers Taco Salsa. I felt obligated to get favorite. Arrived at location, was greeted, another casual taco spot with some seating options. The cashier was friendly & greeted me. Ordered variety of tacos. Was happy going home with favorite tacos. Lol now the disappointment. Opening the taco wrapping. Help me understand what is the purpose of a big tortilla, if no intentions of filling? Yah, we laughed once we saw this. BEST. BREAKFAST. TACOS. I thought the location on Huebner was good, but there was something about this Wurzbach location that set the bar even higher! In my excitement of eating another phenomenal breakfast taco, I forgot to take a picture of the bacon and egg or chorizo and egg tacos, but please enjoy a picture of their famous trash can taco! The tortillas were freshly made, warm/hot, soft, fluffy....just everything wonderful! The breakfast tacos were filled fully, the bacon was chopped up and mixed in with the egg (how it should be in my opinion), and the chorizo was well drained so that it didn't leak grease everywhere. The salsa bar was well stocked. My personal favorites are the roasted salsa and avocado salsa....you should grab at least one of each. 10/10 breakfast tacos in my opinion, great service, clean interior and an overall wonderful experience! read more

There's a lot of 5/5 tacos in San Antonio, this wasn't one of them. Their tacos definitely aren't horrible, but they don't compete with some other places in my opinion. They do have a good selection of salsa to choose from at their salsa bar which is a plus. But I think tacos are fine, but average. I wasn't a fan of their breakfast potatoes. This is one of many locations in San Antonio. I always order a breakfast taco because you can't go wrong with simplicity. My husband always gets the TNS special and absolutely loves it! The tacos can be a little bit pricey compared to other local taco joints but they have consistently been delicious! This place is absolutely fantastic! I visited there after my eye doctor appointment cuz I was starving and it did not disappoint. It is very off the beaten path as it is at the intersection of wurzbach parkway and lockhill Selma so it's not a place you would see right off the highway. That being said it was very busy but very delicious LOL. They specialize in fresh and homemade tacos, with the tortillas being made right in front of you as you're standing there. I can never understand how in San Antonio all companies do not do this but places like Chipotle give you nasty reheated tortillas. I love that I can see all the food being prepped as I'm standing there, they also had a great salsa bar with all kinds of sauces and salsas. Literally the only negative, because it is the realm of breakfast tacos, is the prices. It was $1.99 for a bean and cheese taco and almost $4.50 for a carne asada. And when it comes down to ingredients? Well, it packs a punch with enough stuffed into them. I mean, they are stuffed! 2 usually fill me up but I went for 3 this morning!! I ordered Bacon and Egg Chorizo and egg with Beans Potatoe and egg with cheese (My usual taco choices) Everything was delicious from start to finish, and left me fully satisfied aside from the price going up, but it was well worth it! Even at $10.84 for 3 tacos and a big red I was in taco heaven with no regrets! As usual, this place ranks as my top taco restaurant until further notice! Great fast paced working staff also. In an ocean of tacos shops in San Antonio, a small taco shop like this one tucked away in a strip mall is probably over looked. Wifey and I are guilty of overlooking this great little restaurant. We intended to eat at another restaurant located in the same strip mall, but parked in front of this one instead and decided, sure, why not. The restaurant is an order and pay before you eat set up. Fast and friendly service, which the gal behind the register was kind enough to take us on a tour of what's what on the menu. Wifey ordered street tacos, I ordered a barbacoa taco and a steak/bacon/delicious taco. What the fabulous heck. Both where too much for us to eat in one sitting. Great flavors from everything we ordered. We sampled their vast offering of salsas and have to say they all were good in their own ways. One word to the wise, they close early, so get here for breakfast or an early lunch if you intend to chow down on some excellent grub. I called in an order of trash can tacos and MAN were they huge. The only thing that was a bummer was there wasn't much flavor/seasoning (maybe the refried beans took over?? idk), and the huge chunks of brisket in it were aggressively chewy. I loved the fact that they were making the tortillas fresh and you could view that while waiting in line! The employees were all very nice and on it even during the rush, so my points are for them. The salsa bar was missing the guacamole salsa which I really wanted to try, but that's okay. I tried the salsa roja bc salsa was definitely needed on the sorta bland taco. It's definitely a grab and go taco spot, so don't expect to be able to hang around for long. Def call in before just in case the line is out the door! The tacos are high quality, tasty and well-filled. The menu has a good mix of what you would expect and what you would not expect to see at a San Antonio taqueria. The barbacoa taco is meaty, not greasy. And everyone should try their signature trash can taco at least once. It's an everything but the kitchen sink breakfast taco with eggs, potatoes, refried beans, bacon and carne guisada. Pretty tasty taco. The tortilla chip were also fresh and good with a sprinkle of Tajin. At Tacos N Salsa you have a choice of several salsas. Just ask the big muscular guy who went before me and filled up 15 mini cups of salsa before he finally felt the shame of making the rest of us wait for our turn at the salsa bar. Tacos n Salsa is a yummy restaurant that's new to me, but been in town since 1994. Price wise, be prepared to pay $1.00 to $3.00 more for your meal. This is not your west side 3 tacos for $1.99 place. I'll probably go back today for some more delicious tacos. Y'all better come too and get you some of these tacos, but, please leave all of that roasted chipotle salsa goodness for me. read more
