Delicious Nachos, Shrimp Taco, Cheese Quesadilla
    Ruth M.

The food and service here were amazing, first time coming to this hidden gem. And from start to finish we were greeted and treated with kindness and great energy. Will definitely be coming back. The guacamole and salsa were perfect, just the right amount of spicy. The kids enjoyed the quesadillas, on plain and one with asada; and the kids loved it and they are picky eaters. And the Oreo shake was the highlight of the kids experience. Had some nachos, shrimp tacos and fish tacos; very delicious! I loved that they had glass bottle sodas; the taste is so much better. The day we went they had strawberry lemonade so delicious. We went back 2 days later and they had agua fresca with watermelon. Loved the view and the ambiance. Perfect spot to get a bite to eat walking down the beach. After we finished we went and saw the sunset. The location is perfect and close to Santa Monica pier.

A hidden jewle. Look and you will find. I ordered the Filet Mignon and the Mahi Mahi taco They were both really good! I was thrown off my the coleslaw but it taste yummy. I loved the beef the most. Their hot sauce adds even more flavor. Both tacos came up to $20 so it's a but much but the quality was worth it

Pork belly was really good! It was very flavorful. The mahi mahi was a bit more bland, but it was still pretty good. The food took a little bit longer than expected, but it wasnt too bad of a wait. The vibe is nice, right next to the beach and theres tables to sit with umbrellas

The Surf and Turf Combo with filet mignon and pork belly

Super friendly and the tacos and Watermelon juice were delicious! I ordered a combo plate with the filet mignon and pork belly tacos, and after learning that the green juice was in a bottle and not fresh (it's still cold pressed so ) I switched it out for the watermelon lemon juice which was exactly what I needed for my walk from the Santa Monica Pier to Marina Del Rey. The mignon was my favorite though both were yummy. Personally I needed a little more salt on the pork belly to bring out the sweetness and savory-ness, but still refreshing. I'd totally return again to try some of their seafood options. Oh and they also let me charge my phone which was at 1% when I arrived!

Absolutely delicious!! The owner is there preparing nothing but perfectly scrumptious gourmet tacos. If you're on Venice boardwalk and want a perfect 10 of a taco, you've found the spot. The spot also is on the property of Charlie Chaplin's old Venice home which is super cool. Service, food, ambiance...truly perfect! Thanks so much Surf N Turf! I'll see you again soon.

We stopped here for lunch and it was AMAZING. They where out of shrimp, so we had the filet and mahi tacos. It came with cotija cheese and Eilote topping. The flour tortillas where hand made, soft and delicious! The chef and his assistant where super friendly and helpful when deciding what to get. Great vegetarian options as well! We will definitely be back to try more. Don't forget to ask for hot sauce!

It so small and spicy. My kids wasn't happy

I came here for dinner on a week night and my experience here was pretty good. I had the asada and al pastor tacos with all the toppings and they were both so good and full of meat and heat. The toppings can be spicy for some, so be warned. My favorite of the two was the all pastor which was flavorful and I did like the thinly shaved meat. It was not dry at all and was fresh. I also tried the mulita with al pastor meat and that was also soso good. Cheesy, meaty, and indulgent. The additional topping section had good variety with pickled onions, cucumbers, etc. and everything seemed pretty fresh. Unfortunately, they were pretty much out of the roasted pepper and grilled onions at the time I went. To drink, I had the horchata and that was also very delicious. It was huge, sweet, and creamy. I also loved how it was not grainy at all. A good pairing with the rich foods. They also have a good amount of seating at the stand with a long table and multiple chairs. Parking is tricky since its street parking only.

I love the Cabeza tortilla and 3 is the perfect number of tacos for me as they are pretty generous with the meat and avocado sauce. Been here twice and both times because we were going to a show at the Forum which is just a short drive away. It gets pretty busy around dinner time so expect a long wait as the line moves pretty slowly (everything is made/ cooked fresh!)... but the wait is 100% worth it. Just make sure you order enough the first time so you dont have to wait in line again. There is some parking but it gets pretty crowded too so you might have to street park (and the area around can get a little sketch) so be careful. The second time we came here was almost 1130pm right before their midnight closing. This time, the parking lot was emptier so we managed to park inside. There was still a pretty steady stream of customers even around closing, but at least the line isn't ridiculously long. Can't go wrong with anything you order here!

The line can get pretty long, but it moves surprisingly fast, so don't let that scare you away. Once you get your food, you'll need to find your own seat somewhere in the food court, which can be a little chaotic when it's busy. The seafood was definitely the highlight for me. Everything tasted really fresh, bright, and limey which worked perfectly with the tacos. The citrus and acidity kept the seafood tasting light and refreshing, while the toppings and sauces added enough flavor without overpowering the main ingredients. I really enjoyed the tacos and liked how clean and fresh everything tasted. It's a nice change from heavier, more traditional taco spots, especially if you're in the mood for seafood. Overall, the setup is a little unconventional, but the food is absolutely worth it. I'd definitely come back for the seafood tacos, especially when I'm craving something fresh, citrusy, and flavorful.

Also, make sure you ask them for pineapples since they did not include it until we asked. They do have them sliced up in a container by the meats. You can tell that it's house made and I liked the chewy texture of it. However, respectfully the filling felt and tasted like bean goo. I could only really taste the refried bean flavor which was strong. It kind of meshed all the components together into a gooey filling. I got this with asada meat and the meat was kind of chewy and not so flavorful on its own. Props to the tortilla though for not spilling everything out and holding it together well, but still a bit difficult to eat. I would ask for utensils when eating this dish. The green onion garnish was unique. I wish they gave more lime wedges because that helped elevate the dish. For $13 this wasn't too bad, but I'd rather get a better burrito from a street vendor. This is a casual eats type of place with both indoor and outdoor seating and tables. They also serve alcohol and even frozen alcoholic drinks. They have a free parking lot in front, but it can be competitive to get a spot. Overall, my experience here was just okay and I would opt for other spots.
