Got a coupon off GrubHub so it was $20 off nice deal. The super burrito was really good. I paid 80 cents for extra cilantro and didn't see much more tho. So glad that I spotted this taco food truck parked along the side on a Thursday afternoon and I can smell the aroma. The ladies are so attentive and recommend several popular dishes so I order the quesabirria filled with tender brisket meat melted cheese in a chili-based broth dipping sauce. I also choice the 3 carne pollo tacos a Mexican street style tacos thinly sliced marinated chicken served on a warm corn tortillas comes with slice of radish and lime. Simply delicious and they have tables and seats for outdoor diners. Would definitely be back next time I will have the gordita with all the stuffed fillings with cheese and meat. read more

Man I have been meaning to write a review for this place for many years, but I kept on forgetting about it. Finally I got the time to go back and try their food again. I wanted to write an unbiased review of their food with fresh memory of the taste of their delicious food. Just like how I remembered all those years ago their food is delicious as ever. Probably one of my favorite Mexican places in the entire area. They have tripas which is always always a bonus in my books and cooked to absolute perfection. Their cabeza was so tender and fatty. You cannot go wrong with carne asada either. Getting all those meats on tacos was a absolutely delicious. You can never go wrong with a quesadilla. They have so many things here I wanted to try, but I need to save room for next time. They are closed on Sundays, so be aware about that. read more

I would say this is pretty decent for the area. They also have cabeza on their menu which a lot of places don't have. They serve the food hot and fresh and cook it on the spot when you order. The downsides is that the meat (carne asada and Al pastor) was a little overcooked but the rest of the toppings in the burrito was good. There's some outdoor seating there too so you can eat it fresh. Overall I would go overall for the convenience and is decent. read more

Tuesday Night, no Taco Tuesday Deal at this place but who needs that when their tacos are very worth their price. Grabbed an Al Pastor and Chorizo and they didn't disappoint. Both Delicious in their respective domains. A little disappointed that the Al Pastor didn't have pineapples in them but they did just fine on their own. Along with Chorizo, I usually dread places when I get Chorizo because it's typically a greasy choice. Pretty standard tacos. I've tried most of the taco trucks in the South Bay and these tacos are what you'd expect, but it ends there. It doesn't hold a torch to any of the taco trucks in LA and San Diego or some of the other trucks here in the South Bay Area either - mainly due to the meats lacking flavor. The Tacos de Suadero was bland and all I tasted was salsa. Most other places brown the suadero a bit, but this one was straight out the stew. It was tender though. The Buche was also overstewed and lacke texture and flavor. I like the slight chew buche has, but this one was on the pasty side. I didn't taste much of the ancho chili or the stew. I recommend stewing the buche normally, take out the meat when it's done, then reduce that stewing liquid so there's more flavor imparted before putting the buche back in. The Lengua was also way overstewed and lacked texture and salt. I like the gaminess from lengua, but all the beefiness from this was cooked off. The Al Pastor was pretty standard. There are places where you can tell they put their own spin or surprise in the marinade, but this wasn't it. The taco was dripping with oil as well. The salsas are pretty good here and very well balanced! It would be cool if they had their spin on the classic San Jose orange sauce though! read more

I was randomly craving a churro one day and my boyfriend surprised me with one. It was absolutely delicious. I'd give it a 5/5 for the churro. It was very crunchy on the outside and moist inside; really good balance of cinnamon and sugar. Perfectly satisfied my craving. We also got the carne asada, el pastor, and carnitas. The carne asada is pretty good but quite salty. It's slightly dry but still chewy. El pastor texture was a bit strange. It didn't feel like stripped beef but the seasoning was really good. The carnitas weren't that fatty, which was a bit surprising. Overall, the meat was pretty lean especially for the el pastor. None of the flavors are exploding and a lot of it felt pretty subtle. I think they could improve the meat flavor with longer marination and fattier meat. It doesn't feel like the meat felt as fresh as some other taco places so maybe it became a bit dry. They also fried the tortilla really well so it was quite crispy too, great texture. It didn't seem like it was fried in oil so it wasn't overly greasy and somehow tasted like a healthy taco if there is such a thing. Also loved the radish on the side. It's a good refreshing taste after each taco. Definitely will be back for an epic churro! read more

OPEN DURING COVID. My bf and I swung by around 10:00 pm Monday to get our burrito fix-- did not disappoint at all. Y'ALL, THE HYPE IS REAL. DO NOT SLEEP ON THE SALSA! The food is 4/5, the salsa is a 10/5 LOL. Together, they easily make Tacos the King David 5/5 in my book. For COVID safety, staff/patrons must wear masks and hand sanitizer is provided (albeit, behind a gas station isn't somewhere to have high hygiene standards). While their location is definitely funky, the best food stops tend be in questionable territory. AL PASTOR BURRITO: Amazing. The pork is flavorful and juicy, ingredients were fresh-- all wrapped in a flaky, piping-hot tortilla. Great ratio of protein:filling:tortilla. AND THE SALSA... WILD. Our order came with several dipping cups full (w/ 3 separate spice levels), but in retrospect, I would've definitely requested more. You just have to try it to know. This truck has been here forever and I finally decided to try it. They have a good variety of the usual tacqueria fare and a few specialities such as the sope. Funny, I have never had a sope before, "which at first sight looks like an unusually thick tortilla with vegetables and meat toppings. The base is made from a circle of fried masa (ground maize soaked in lime, also used as the basis for tamales and tortillas) with pinched sides. This is then topped with refried beans and crumbled cheese, lettuce, onions, red or green sauce (salsa, made with chiles or tomatillos, respectively), and sour cream" (Wikipedia's definition). So we got a sope, which I enjoyed a lot. Like a thick, slightly crispy bottomed meat pie, savory and delicious. Also got a few tacos and quesadillas, all of which were well made and fresh. This used to be one of my favourite taco trucks, until they started becoming extremely stingy. What defines a good Mexican place besides their food? Their salsas. Salsas are extremely important in my opinion, when it comes to Mexican food, especially in the Bay Area. A lot of good Mexican places that I visit often have an array of different salsas. This place had one salsa going for it for a while, and it was actually very good. It went very well with the burritos and tacos that I would get from here. However, it first started with being able to get as much as you want because they would give you a small tiny container which would allow you to fill up. Mind you, this is only the diametre of a dime, and a couple of mm in height, so it's already not a lot. From that, they went on to giving you a filled version themselves. From there it went to them only giving you half the size, which was like three bites when putting a conservative amount on a burrito. From there, they just stopped giving it altogether unless you specifically asked, and then they would give you a half-filled small little tiny container of salsa with a three burrito order. Their food is decent, but when you bring on this kind of stinginess, you are no longer my go-to place for Mexican food. read more

Was craving tacos and saw this place down the street. One taco I always get is the al pastor and a tripa if they have any. This location didn't have any tripa. When I was standing in front of the truck, I can see the al pastor from the window and it looked super dry. The meat was really dark and even the flame was off. So in my mind, the meat is overcooked and cold. I already knew it wasn't going to be good but I wanted to get it anyways. I saw the had a fish taco ($3) so I got one of those too. I was surprised when my order came out to $6 because most taco places are $2 a taco at most so these were some pricy tacos. It didn't take long before I got my food and there's a two tables to sit at. This truck doesn't have a salsa bar. They pretty much give you whatever sauce they had and put it on your taco. Also, the taco was on 2 corn tortillas. I'm all about that single freshly pressed tortilla. I took a bite from the al pastor first and it was pretty much what I thought, it was overcooked and dry but the seasoning on it was okay. However for $3 I would not get this again. The fish taco I thought was decent, but it tasted like the taco version of the McDonald's filet o fish with the McChicken's cabbage and mayo. I would have rather had that to be honest. Would I come back, probably not. They do accept card and cash so that's nice but I'm willing to drive down to SJ for better tacos. read more

Been meaning to try this truck for a while. There aren't many night tacos truck around and this one got high marks. It was early evening and we were the only ones there, There were a couple ladies in the truck talking and took a few minutes to them notice us. Tacos are $2.50 each and some meats are $3 (sudero and tongue) Hubby and I ordered 3 tacos each to go me: sudero, carnitas, al pastor - no onions hubby: carnitas, sudero, chorizo What we got: sudero, 2 carnitas, with onions, and carnitas and chorizo for hubby. since we already went home, oh well. kind of a bummer that you paid extra for something and didn't get it. The meats tasted ok, on the dry side, but nothing special, and you don't get much. There was only a small tub of salsa included per order. We didn't see any around the truck, most trucks have at least a couple that you can help yourself. Salsa was spicy but not a lot of taste. I really like their churros . I called earlier and asked what time they were going to be open ( she said 5pm) and if they were going to have churros , so I don't make the trip in vain . A nice lady answer ( seems to be the owner) and she said yes . I called right before leaving from home to place my order . Another lady answer to tell me that they don't have churros no more . It seem to be odd since I called 30 minutes after they had open . I just think she didn't wanted to go to the trouble of making the churros . They have done this to me many times . So living in Sunnyvale is so hard to find Mexican food trucks specially taco trucks. This part of Silicon Valley seem to have no Mexican options besides a couple. Most taco trucks are on Redwood City, San Mateo, Mountain View, or San Jose. Between Palo Alto to Santa Clara the chances of getting any Mexican good is pretty low. Anyways back to my review. The food here is always good, I always forget to write a review but the food is always tasty specially the tacos de lengua and the cabeza tacos which are .50 cents more. Located at Halford and Elcamino is a Taco Trailer run by The King David Taco company. I was driving my Work Whip Big Ken and stopped by The King David Taco Truck for Lunch . I ordered a Al Pastor Super Burrito and a Mexican Coke for Lunch . It came out too $9 . CASH ONLY . I ate my Burrito there . It was a well Constructed Burrito and the Ingrediants were very fresh.
