    2 Beef Birria Taco Guacamole
    Stacy C.

Packed with flavors, the food is really fresh and delicious. I'm not a huge fan of Chipotle restaurant but just for comparison I'll use them as a reference. The set up at Guac Time is similar but food is immensely better ( more seasoned) and there are more items to choose from. Oh and it's Halal items if that a requirement for you this is a place you can try. The service was great, the cashier was one of those guys who has a permanent smile. I had the Birria tacos and guacamole. The consomè was very good, I was surprised ,I wasn't expecting such deep flavors. The taco were a good size and packed with meat. I was very satisfied . They have Jaritos, Fanta amd Mexican Coke. I will return. By the way, no bathroom. I almost bypassed the restaurant because it looked closed ,the tint on the windows is very dark and you can't really see inside from the sidewalk. I'm glad I peered in closer . I would have missed out on very delicious lunch.

I had a delivery order of a chicken burrito wrap and a chicken burrito bowl. The burrito was packed and the burrito bowl was generously filled to the top with sour cream and hot sauce on the side. Both were tasty and seemed very fresh. The chicken was soft and juicy. The vegetables were crisp and fresh. Delivery was fast and packing was decent. This is much better and healthier than a "fast food" restaurant. I would order from here again, anytime.

Coming here for lunch was such a great choice and was so close to my work and I never realized it! The portions are excellent like usually I can finish a whole chipotle bowl but I could only get through half the guac time bowl and now I get to have leftovers for dinner which i'm so excited about. All the ingredients tasted fresh and I especially loved the cilantro sauce. Also the queso blanco as a topping was not extra!!! Game changer bc I love queso. Chips were crisp and tasty too. I will be back for that crunchwrap sometime!

One of my go-to places to order takeout tex-mex! I think it's higher quality than Chipotle. I've always ordered at the Brooklyn location, but decided to order from the Chelsea location to deliver to my work. I think the Chelsea location packs the container less than the Brooklyn location, but it's still a good amount of food. I am always left satisfied! They usually have a BOGO deal on the apps, and guac is listed as a free topping!!

This was a pick up order, so I can't speak on the ambiance of the restaurant or service. However, the birria tacos were solid! I wish I had saved some more room for more of these tacos, but I *made* room.

The beef seems too firm and lacks flavor - I would have liked it to be more tender and juicy (and tasty) but it wasn't. The avocado taco box is a nice vegetarian option. I only came here because the nearest taco bell was closed.

I heard lots of good things about this halal place, but was little disappointed ‍Maybe oh other items would be better . The store is pretty small, nothing fancy to show off. But I so appreciate the fact that it's 100% halal, they even have a certification for it . So if you around this area do visit & give it a try .

Shockingly this place is so good! The birria tacos did not disappoint, the flavor was there. The quesadilla was stuffed, very mess & kept falling apart but like I said the flavor!!! Everything I ordered was freshly made even thought it was midnight. Location is small but it's a great place after a night out drinking. The service was easy to order, there is a little wait time but it's worth it.

We ordered a taco kit at 3 AM and LOL idk if it's because it was 3 AM after a night out or what but damn these tacos were BUSSIN. I believe we got the chicken ones with chipotle sauce and sweet mango verde sauce. The kit came with 3 pretty big tacos, packed with toppings, for around $14. Update: it is now lunch time the day after and we have ordered from here again LOL. Steak tacos + a burrito bowl, lived up to the hype of last night - so so good.

Sitting at the bar, it was only me one other patron and the bartender (with the host nearby). Had a great time talking, it was a slow day so we all really had a great time. All went great with a beer on tap, whatever was on HH that day.

Conveniently located near Union Square/14th Street on the Lexington Avenue Line, Javelina is fairly easy to get to from Brooklyn, the Bronx and Manhattan. The restaurant itself is downstairs from the street, but not quite a basement. There is a bar when you first enter on the left, and tables back to the kitchen. The space is usually quite loud, and it can be a bit cramped at times. Don't be surprised if you find yourself raising your voice a bit to keep up. Upon seating, you will (eventually) be offered chips and salsa, and someone will take your drink order. Things can take a bit of time here, especially at busy times, so do not expect the top tier of restaurant service by any stretch of the imagination. The menu features fajitas, and I cannot imagine ordering anything else. The queso is a lovely appetizer, though the trio feels a bit small for the price. If you order fajitas, you will notice another shortcoming of this restaurant, the tables can feel a bit cramped. This is something that comes with the territory in Manhattan dining but do not feel surprised if you end up having to rearrange things on your table to accommodate a delicious platter of sizzling fajitas. The fajitas themselves are fine, and probably the most consistent I've found here in the city. I would not be surprised if there were better places for fajitas elsewhere but in my research this seemed like the best option. Requests have been missed before in my experience (I recall ordering a certain salsa that never came) and because the waiters seem a bit overwhelmed, it hard to address it before you'd want to eat. Overall, this place will scratch the itch for fajitas, but the service is lacking. I'll probably find myself wanting fajitas again in the future and return, but every time I visit I find myself just a little bit disappointed that a good restaurant is not great.

In the early mornings, after drunken benders that lasted until the wee hours of the morning, we felt the pangs for breakfast tacos, authentic burritos, and greasy plates loaded with huevos à la Mexicana, frijoles, and rice. Mexican diners along the border were headquarters and we were the fucking Mexican Power Rangers. For us, the term "Tex-Mex" was worse than a misnomer. It was a Yankee term used pejoratively to describe The Great Beyond, the Abyss that stares back, except we are the Abyss, seething, yearning for nuance and complexity in Gringolandia. We left Yellow Rose with that same yearning, asking ourselves "What the hell was that?" Chips were stale, a forgivable offense if the salsas are good, which they weren't. They were sweet and flavorless. The mole was gross and my version of good mole comes from a glass container, sold in bulk at Mexican grocery stores, admittedly offensive to the great moles or Oaxaca. What does that tell you? Imagine if Michael Jackson had an impersonator. Now imagine the impersonators impersonator. What do you even call that? It's not a cheap imitation. This place is a cool restaurant in a good location. Right next to the 72nd street Q station, so real easy to get to. The menu had a great selection and I am glad we found a place that serves you chips and salsa with your meal at no extra charge. This is not the status quote with other restaurants in the area. My wife had the Javelina salad and added chicken. We asked if the chicken was all white meat chicken and Wyatt said it was a mix, but could get some fajita chicken if she would like. It was a dollar more than the regular chicken up charge. Perfect, we were good with that. I ordered the Enchiladas De Tejas. I don't know if I have had a better dish. I was so good. I am a huge enchilada person and very picky on what I get and I definitely will be getting this again. The red chili gravy on the enchiladas was amazing. Stay tuned.
