I really enjoyed their special, which consisted of a bowl of fideo and three chicken taquitos. I've never seen taquitos served this way, and I really liked it! The taquitos were crispy, and I enjoyed dipping them in the brothy soup. Their fideo was traditional, but they added potatoes, which I also enjoyed. It made what is usually a simple soup a little heartier. My fiancé enjoyed his tacos, but unfortunately, all of the salsas were too spicy for him, so he ate them mostly plain. That's the only reason I'm deducting a star. Personally, my stomach can't really handle spice like it used to either, so it would be nice if they had a milder salsa for people like us. Otherwise, I enjoyed my meal. When we were leaving, one of their employees handed us a tiny spoon with some tamarindo on it. We ordered al pastor and carne asada tacos and with the owner's solid suggestion, caldo de res. Homemade chips and salsa were provided. The taco meat was crisp on the edges and incredibly delicious. We've been to Tacos Trinidad three times and it never disappoints. The owners and staff are friendly and go out of their way to accomodate their customers. My boyfriend wanted something that wasn't on the menu (tacos de papa) and they agreed to make it for him. He was beyond satisfied with the tacos and the sopa de fideo and can't wait to take family there for an authentic culinary experience.
