The complementary chips and salsa were so good.
Michael S.

Go just for the complementary chips and salsa! Really, they're that good. We were in a small group for dinner. Mi Lupita servers were on top of things throughout the meal. No fewer than three employees stopped by at different times to confirm our needs were met. Dishes came out correctly and there were no complaints about any entree. My taco salad had an abundance of shredded chicken that i would have preferred had more seasoning. But that was my preference. Another diner might have found it just right.

Spicy margarita

Outstanding! I had not been here in several years and Mi Lupita is my now favorite Mexican restaurant in west county. The fresh squeezed margarita was fantastic. The spicy margarita was one of the best. Fresh food was a delicious change compared to other competitive restaurants. I highly recommend the margaritas as an appetizer and to pair with the main course. This is a five star gem. Will be back.

I ordered the beef fajitas. The beef needed more seasoning like garlic powder, onion powder and lime juice. Most of the meat was tender. I had a very friendly young man as my server who did a great job. This is a cozy restaurant at Manchester and New Ballwin. There's plenty of parking in the lot in front of the restaurant.

Cali Burrito with steak and side order of beans and rice.

Mi Lupita was next on our list to try in the STL area. Located in a shopping center in Ballwin, MO it's one of the few Mexican restaurants in the area. Traditional decor as you expect and plenty of seating for both small or large groups. Menu was very diverse and all the dishes you expect to see. Wife went with the chicken enchiladas with verde salsa, and was a huge portion. I went with the Cali Burrito, a loaded burrito with steak and covered with queso sauce. Both dishes were delicious and seasoned appropriately. Didn't try the margaritas this time as we had errands to run, but from observing other groups they are very popular here. Overall good experience and reasonably priced. Service was great and checked on us frequently.

I'm so glad we chose to check this place out! We were looking for a casual lunch spot before an…read moreevent and decided in Circle 7 after it was recommended to us. We started with drinks, the circle 7 old fashion and their lemonade, they were both good. The appetizer list had so many good options but we landed in the pickle coins, these were the best fried pickles I have ever had, each was perfectly breaded and fried. For our mains we got the voodoo chicken tacos (with rice and beans) and the garlic lime shrimp tacos (with Mexican street corn). We both loved the tacos, my only complaint was that I wish the dishes were a little warmer temperature wise when they arrived to us. Looking forward to coming back with friends and trying to sit at one of the tables with the self serve beer taps!

I do want the people who run the restaurant to know that ever since they changed the bun for the Bola sandwich, it is equally delicious and the bread is good and nice and soft, but the sandwich is so much harder to eat and that I don't like. And when I say this sandwich is good, i have a young daughter that I didn't think would eat this because she is not a fan of some ingredients, But I have her a bite and she will now go out of her way to get this sandwich for herself... that is impressive lol. I really don't have any negatives for circle seven other than the change in bread which i am sure was done for a reason and did not change the taste, just makes it harder to eat.

We were 11th in line when we signed up, and by the time we arrived, we had moved up to 5th. Since it was raining, we decided to wait in the car. When we reached 3rd in line, we were unexpectedly removed from the waitlist. I tried calling the phone number listed on Yelp, which was the same number displayed on the building, but it went straight to what sounded like a personal cellphone voicemail. We decided to go inside anyway and discovered the waitlist wasn't necessary because there were plenty of tables available. The menu had a lot of interesting options, although I wish it included photos of the dishes. We ordered the Hawaiian Bowl, the Truffle Burger, and what I believe was the Blueberry Jam Burger, along with regular fries and sweet potato fries. The burgers were juicy and flavorful, and each bun was stamped with the Circle 7 branded logo, which was a nice touch. The Hawaiian Bowl was delicious and generously portioned. I had enough left over for another meal. The atmosphere is definitely more of a sports bar than a traditional restaurant. Every wall seemed to have multiple TVs, making it easy to watch the soccer matches from just about anywhere in the dining room. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and checked on us several times throughout the meal. Before leaving, we couldn't decide on just one dessert, so we ordered the dessert sampler. The cobbler was the standout--it tasted homemade, especially the crust, and all of the desserts were served with ice cream. The only disappointment was the brownie, which was quite hard instead of soft and fudgy. Overall, we enjoyed the food and the service. The only downside was the confusing Yelp waitlist experience, which could definitely use some improvement.

You can order a special bowl or do a build your own like I do. My go to protein is the sweet chili tofu. There are also al la carte like fried pot stickers, tempura shrimp, and sweet potato fries. They do have kid portions so the whole family can get full. For dessert they have cute red bean or matcha ice cream sandwiches. Get a taro milk tea for a drink or try the mango slush! The service is always fast and I have seen them wash their hands every time I go in. This location is not wheelchair accessible without a few obstacles but if you order ahead, they can bring it to your car.

Overall, 4.5 rated for their high quality foods and friendly service; casual ambience for dine-in, but also great takeout. A pricier fast casual eatery, expect to pay ~$14-15pp for a bowl meal, but totally worth it. And you can share a bowl if 2 of you do not have super large appetites. Choose your faves for a "made to order" bowl - enjoy fresh Tuna, Salmon, House-made crispy Hei Hei Chicken or Tofu along with plenty of veggie combos, rice and special sauces. Or try one of their Specialty combos - a fave was the Wasabi Wave with Spicy Tuna, Shrimp, greens, cucumber, carrots, and ginger. I liked adding a side (~$6-8) of their crispy shrimp or Shiitake mushroom potstickers - all so tasty! Friendly counter service for ordering and food pick-up or use their app to order in advance. Casual dine-in tables or enjoy small patio seating. Overall, a really nice change of pace (from a burger spot) to enjoy a flavorful, quick relaxed fresh seafood meal. I'm not sure what this place even is, despite having dined there yesterday. It serves breakfast,…read morelunch and dinner, and doesn't seem to specialize in anything in particular. It's in a weirdly large building that looks like a place where you'd go to get lasik surgery. I visited after a run on a day where the heat index was like 109, so I didn't spend that much time inside, just enough to drip sweat all over the front counter and the floor in the vestibule. We sat outside in an area that seems like the place where you'd pull up and unload your luggage at a hotel. A member of our group says she once attended some sort of Xmas pop-up in the basement here where you were charged a cover and then expected to pay for drinks and pizza, so... uh, caveat emptor. We ordered at the little bar up front, but I'm not sure if that's also the case if you dine inside. These places always flip out when there's umpteen different people ordering separately, because they only have but so many of those numbers you set on the table so they know where to bring your food. It ended up not being an issue with us, because who else was going to engage in al fresco dining during a heat advisory? This place serves pizza, but it didn't look that good in the few photos I saw. Granted, food often looks like crap in Yelp photos. Also, there's an emphasis on '90s-style health food, organic ingredients and what have you. There's a Salmon BLT that's featured prominently that seemed like it might be the thing to get, but I didn't know enough about this place to be ordering fish, and I'd already been meaning to eat a bacon cheeseburger for the past several days. Maybe next time. There is no bacon cheeseburger as a separate menu item unto itself. I figured I might just order a cheeseburger and add bacon, but I'm not sure if that's an option, and this wasn't a regular cheeseburger. It had a few different weird cheeses on it, spinach and maybe some other things. Then I saw the Dill-bert, which seemed like it might be really good. It has, among other things, dill Havarti cheese (whatever that is), avocado, and of course, bacon. It's served on a wheat bun, which, whatever. Its name is not a tribute to Scott Adams, as far as I know, but this is Ballwin. The Dill-bert did not disappoint. No Diddy. The beef comes from one of those special farms where the cows are all given names as if they were human beings, groomed on a daily basis by trafficking victims and read bedtime stories, and you really can taste the difference. It's a better quality meat. It's also expertly prepared. It's well-seasoned and cooked until it develops a nice char on the exterior. It was a bit more done on the inside than I require, but that may have been unavoidable. For a side, there was an option of tater tots cooked in an air fryer, like if your mom was feeling lazy. I didn't see any french fries, but maybe I'm going blind. I ordered a side salad, which is my thing these days. Sometimes they're surprisingly good, and a french fry is a french fry, unless you're at McDonald's. This one was pretty good, but it was definitely on the health-food side of things--very fresh and lightly but sufficiently dressed with something citrus-y and not too oily. Oh, and I was duped into purchasing a whiskey sour slushie. It just seemed like it would be so refreshing. It must have cost nearly as much as my meal, given what my bill came out to. They must think I'm a sucker. Did they receive advance notice of my visit? It did kinda hit the spot, and I probably got drunker than I would have otherwise, because I was suffering from a minor heatstroke, so there was that.

Honestly the best thing at our table were the rounds of appetizers, the brussels sprouts, spinach dip and "pretzels" (i swear pretzels were deep fried, they had a beignet like consistency) those seemed like sanely sized, well seasoned and prepared. The entree items on the other hand, they all seemed like somebody's idea of what they should be, and less like the actual thing, presentation was better than taste. Service was great though! Seemed like a good attentive staff. This place reminded me of Lamberts in several ways, in fact Joey Bs is like some St. Louis suburban living version of that. "throwed rolls" are way too gauche for West County though, so its generally a kind of sports bar atmosphere. So Lamberts in Sikeston is awful, except for the "pass arounds" which are pretty good. Lamberts main dishes had the same steroidal, huger than possible, unexceptional tasting quality as Joey Bs. And like Lamberts, holy crap was Joey Bs busy so what the fuck do I know?? Clearly nothing, I guess "we" sure do love our marginal and gigantic food, people tend to eat with their eyes!
