I stopped into Tacos Y Mas a couple of days ago, for to steal a quick taco lunch on my own, because no one in my family appreciates Street Tacos, made with those two little disks of corn tortilla goodness, the way or even nearly as much as I do! I loves me some Street Tacos!! Mmm Mm!!! It was just about lunch time when I arrived and there were only a couple of people seated inside eating, when I arrived. I ordered three Street Tacos and an order of Chips and Salsa. My food was brought out after only about 10 minutes. My tacos were Chicken, Steak, and Carnitas. From the condiment bar, I took Pico de gallo, Red Salsa, and Green Salsa. My tacos and the chips were served piping hot and fresh! The tacos and the chips all tasted very good; a close second to my favorite taco place, La Banqueta (Check out my review of that taco spot here: https://yelp.to/R7cOS3VMwe). Overall, I was satisfied with my meal and only have a couple of gripes. First, I noticed the salsa served with my chips was likely a day old, because the onions were on the downhill side of freshness. Secondly, the same issue with the onions in the Pico de gallo. It's unfortunate that onions start to go bad so quickly, because they are still relatively "edible" after they are no longer palatable. Which, for restaurants, would mean they have to basically dump something edible and incur daily costs to make fresh, that something. Personally, if I owned a restaurant that served salsa and/or Pico de gallo, I would make the investment, because absolutely NOTHING beats or even comes close to fresh salsa and Pico de gallo! These shortfalls with the onions knocked the Five Star rating down to a solid Four. The staff at Tacos Y Mas was super friendly! The Men's restroom was cleaned and well stocked. I did not order anything to drink during this visit. If you're in the mood for good tacos, Tacos Y Mas is a good choice, if you're nearby. If you decide to visit for a bite, I hope you get the freshest onions possible in your salsa and Pico de gallo! Eat well. Be well. Cheers! read more

Tacos were disappointing. Lacked ALOT of flavor. I did like that they offered a lot of sauces, but tbh, the food missed the mark on the taste. You walk in to order and they give you a number to bring your food out. Clean area. Very spacious. read more

Staff was FIVE STAR. Got the six taco platter with chips and salsa. I enjoyed the chips and salsa. They give you tons of salsa to enjoy. They have a salsa bar with several salsa options to add to your tacos. The restaurant did not skimp out on the quantity of food, which is always nice! Barbacoa meat was my favorite with the chicken a close second! Must try. Solid 4 star. read more

Tacos Y Mas offers vibrant Mexican cuisines that you will love. It's a newer restaurant that recently opened. It is located on the corner of Arapaho and the Central Expressway frontage road. Parking is a bit tricky as the restaurant is off the frontage road in between intersections and stop lights. The North entrance off the frontage road did make it easier to access the restaurant. It is a casual setting that offers a taste of local food. It's bright with lots of windows to allow the sun in. Their food is full of flavor, juicy and seasoned to taste. I love the salsa bar where you can add delicious and unique flavors to your food. There are so many toppings to choose from. All of the fresh flavors adds to the great taste. The cost is roughly around $3.00 a taco. The tacos are of a good size. The tacos are not only full of flavor, but full of meat. Great value. The cooks and servers are friendly. I love the concept of being able to watch your food being cooked through their open window concept. If they continue with the great customer service, food quality and vibe I can see this place sticking around for some time. Service was fantastic! The cashier explained the whole menu and even came to check everything was good half way through our meal. Ambiance at 10pm was really nice there's good music and TVs outside. I had no idea this place existed until my fiancé and I were driving along 75, so we made a u-turn to check it out. Tacos are over priced, but what isn't nowadays. Customer service was great! No military discount. The place is chill & casual. My fave taco was the "pescador". I wish the salsa bar had labels. There is an outdoor patio, but it's not ready for public use. read more

Good prices. Tacos are decent. Birra taco wasn't bad, but had too much cheese. The queso had the consistency of a liquid. Was hoping for much better. Chips were just ok too. Torchy and Fuzzy's are much better. Was nice to see a selection of salsas, however they need to be labeled. I like hot and two of them were very hot. Food bland and OVERPRICED , small portions, the lady working the register didn't listen, got our order wrong and showed lots of unnecessary attitude towards us. First time eating at this restaurant and it didn't disappoint. Fajitas tacos on corn tortillas had flavor with delicious grilled vegetables. Barbacoa tacos were good with good flavor and the corn in the cup on the side was delicious. The gentleman at the counter explained the menu to us which helped us figure out our choices of tacos we wanted. He was very informative and very helpful. We'll definitely go back to this location because of the service provided and quality of food. read more

Just bad. Rice and beans absolutely no flavor. Taco shells were stale and tacos needed every bit of the watery salsa to have any flavor. I understand why the place was empty at noon. How do you get bad Mexican food in Texas? Go to Taco Y Mas and wasted $12.99 like I did. And one more thing while I'm ranting, Diet Pepsi has to be the most disgusting soft drink in the world. If restaurants continue to only carry Pepsi products I will not support those establishments.
