Wow, what the great people here I highly recommend it to everyone. As soon as they find out it's my birthday they surprise me with a dessert and that was awesome Happy place Thanks to Brandon and keani.

So 2 months ago I leave a review about how their hours are wrong on Yelp, Google & their website. I even took screenscrapes showing all 3 different hours. To this day, the hours are still wrong. You would think someone involved with this business, such as the owner, the GM, or even an employee would see this and say, shit, we need to fix this. But nope. Not TacosWay. This is why this place sucks. They just don't care about anything. And this just proves that.

Finally had time to carve out to give this place another whirl, since they reconstructed the staff and menu a few weeks ago. And mainly to support Heather who is one of the most amazing bartenders around. Not even kidding. She is great at perfecting cocktails, they're never too strong never too sweet never to anything they're perfect. And her and Brandon tonight were Rockstars with our party of eight at the bar! The food was kick ass, so flavorful. Before this myself included, but many people thought the salsa here was made out of a can, I am here to tell you that the salsa is very very good and full of roasted pepper flavor. I would absolutely recommend this place, and I plan to frequent here more often.

Chips and salsa were served immediately and the salsa is more of a mild to medium spicy flavor was delicious

my husband and I went in for dinner tonight after not being here since they first opened. We did not like the food before because it was so spicy way too much for us. I was encouraged by the owner to give it a try again because they had revamped the menu. The food was absolutely delicious. It was not as spicy, but it was super flavorful. They have added a barria menu that is delicious. The service was great and the ambience was fun. I would encourage you to try it again if you haven't been for a while. Great value for the amount of food too!

Forget about what you heard. Tacos Way has the best drinks and vibe in Placentia. We sat at the bar and tried the Gauva and Tamarindo margaritas, margarita flight, the mezcal and whiskey old fashioned, the pineapple and mezcal margaritas, and the micheladas. The michelada mix, as well as the cucumber and Tamarindo purées are made by Cristian - an extremely talented bartender who works Friday evenings and brunch hours. Unlimited mimosas available for 90 minutes during weekend brunch hours ($23). DJ spins reggaeton and modern hip hop Friday evenings and during brunch hours. HH offered M-F from 2pm-6pm with $8 margs and $5 shots. We shared the molcajete, which was spicy and delicious. Service was top notch. We were constantly checked on. I will definitely become a regular here!

This place is way better than the last place that was in this shopping center. Stopped by today to see if they have Taco Tuesday and they do! Beer was $3.50 tacos $1.85 from 3-6pm on Tuesdays. Another cool thing is they have a DJ on weekends and some nights. I am 100% coming back to this place. Don't listen to the reviews talking trash on this place. They sound like people who live near by who are upset by it's success. I live 2 blocks away and am so happy I finally came by. My new hangout. Food quality is also great. I tried Al pastor, chicken, carne asada, carnitas. The chips are homemade daily and you can taste the difference. Modelo on draft with a fresh squeezed lime. Thank you Tacos Way for the Bomblicious food.

I'm New to the area, and it's my 1st time in the TacosWay restaurant. I was greeted with smiles at the door and immediately seated; the atmosphere was laid back with the right amount of volume to the music. Fresh guacamole with homemade chips, tacosway tacos, and Ceviche was very flavorful. The margaritas were outstanding; I had a few plus some shots, which made the evening fantastic, I am looking forward to a return trip or even doing some takeout.

Great ambience; Fridays and Taco Tuesday are always popping. The Tamarindo Mezcal and La Toxica are definitely a must have when visiting. Football Sundays /Brunch with a Live DJ makes this place a go-to. Berenice behind the bar and Brandon on the floor is a killer combo for great service.

The table next to us ordered a Rombauer Chardonnay, got the wrong white wine, shows he wasn't paying attention. We started with a Caesar salad, a tad over dressed, too much dressing but we really enjoyed it. I had the whole snapper which was excellent, my wife got the shrimp tacos, she didn't enjoy that, it was over spiced, too hot and not mentioned on the menu ingredients. So many dishes on the menu were spicy, a lot for the small menu. I suggest management add indicators which dishes are spicy. Some were hits, some were misses but overall a disappointing experience

The FOOD: 4.5/5 | Drinks: 5/5 Off the appetizers, we had the pork belly bites and dirty fries! First dish came with a long hot pepper, several mini tortillas, and 2 dipping sauces. The pork was crunchy on the outside and soft+succulent on the inside. I can see myself doubling up on this appetizer the next time I come. Dirty fries were great; it came with a generous amount of pickled onions - providing a really nice contrast to the savoriness of our meal. Our waiter graciously accommodated our request to have the egg on the side. Off the entrée/taco menu, my friend ordered the Korean tacos and I got the Ensenada (fish) tacos. But you can also order the Ensenada tacos with shrimp. These were delicious, I would have loved a little more lime crema to go with the fish - but not a big deal. I got a Watermelon Margarita. Some places sit in the back of your mind for years…read more I first came to Macallan Public House more than a decade ago on a date and always intended to return. Life happened, years passed, and somehow I never made it back. Fast forward to today: I was driving my Tesla, jokingly asked Grok to take me somewhere for a beer, and it pointed me right back here. Walking in felt like revisiting a place that had been quietly waiting in the background of my story. The centerpiece is still the incredible bar. Shelves stacked floor to ceiling with whiskey bottles, glowing green tile behind the taps, warm lighting, and enough character that you can spend half your time simply looking around. It's the kind of room that feels both energetic and comfortable at the same time. I grabbed a seat at the bar, watched a soccer match on the TVs, and ordered an Old Fashioned. It arrived exactly the way I hoped it would: large clear ice cube, generous orange peel, balanced and smooth without trying too hard. Just a well-made classic cocktail. What stood out most was the atmosphere. These days I'm much more likely to be exploring hiking trails, photographing wildflowers, or driving mountain roads than spending time in bars. Twelve years ago, places like this were a much more regular part of my life. Coming back reminded me why I enjoyed them in the first place. Good conversation, a comfortable seat, a quality drink, and no rush to be anywhere else. The beer taps looked extensive, the whiskey selection seemed endless, and the entire place struck a balance between neighborhood pub and whiskey destination. Funny how a random AI navigation suggestion brought me back to a place I'd been meaning to revisit for over a decade. Glad it finally did. 5 stars.

Macallan's has the look of an Irish pub; dark wood, Celtic décor, the whole atmosphere is there…read more But if you're going to lean into Irish identity, the details matter, especially with Guinness. I've watched it poured straight into a regular pint glass with no 45-degree angle and no pause for the proper two-step pour. It comes out flat, with barely any creamy head, which completely changes the texture and experience. Guinness isn't just another draft beer; it needs to settle, and it should be served in a proper tulip or Guinness glass to get that classic presentation. The fix is simple: slow the pour down and train the staff on the traditional method. The pub has the vibe. Now it just needs to respect the pint.
