    Molcajete and Paloma
    Myra G.

We came to Tacos Way on a recommendation from my brother. We arrived around 5 p.m. on a Saturday and were seated right away since the restaurant wasn't very busy at the time. The restaurant itself is very vibrant and nicely decorated. The ambiance is lively and colorful, and aesthetically everything looks great. The food presentation was also on point. We ordered the molcajete, which came out smoking and was served with rice, beans, and tortillas. My brother ordered the carne con chile, and we also ordered a carne asada plate. The molcajete looked great, but the meat pieces were cut very small. Usually at other restaurants the meat comes in larger chunks, so that was a little off-putting. The tortillas were also a bit hard and not the best. I also ordered a margarita flight, which came out with a fun presentation that included a little light-up firecracker effect. It looked really cool, but unfortunately the drinks themselves were not good. I sent them back and ordered a Paloma instead, but that drink also wasn't good. The waiter was very nice and genuinely tried to help figure out what I might like, but it seemed like the person making the drinks didn't really know how to mix them well. After two unsuccessful drinks, I decided to stop trying and just had a Diet Coke. Service from our waiter was friendly and attentive, and the restaurant itself looks great, but the food and especially the drinks just didn't meet expectations. Unfortunately, because of that, I probably wouldn't come back.

The hospitality here is unmatched! The bar tenders Justin and Steph are super attentive and friendly. The owner also shows face and is hands on with service. Food is perfect portions and drinks are great. The shrimp sound and diabla shrimp is 10/10.

The new brunch menu is great, thanks Tacos Way to bring something new to your menu. This plate was amazing carne asada con huevo!!!

I just to say the service was good and the food was good as well the only thing I didn't like was the process. I don't get to see what I'm being charged for at the moment, my check was correct but the disappointment came with I saw a credit/debit card transaction fee of 3.9% added to my check. As a business that takes credit cards. It's the busy responsibility to pay for it not the patron.

The atmosphere is the only reason I didn't give it zero stars. The banda was setting up towards the evening on a Friday night and it looked like a dj also plays. It gave me a club vibe with lights and good drinks. My mezcal guava margarita was pretty good but the nachos and taquitos were mediocre. The waitress gave someone else one of our drinks and she also forgot to charge us happy hour prices which was the only reason we came here. I was disappointed with the food and service. If I ever do come back it will be for drinks only, but for the price would go somewhere else.

The Cali Way burrito mojado with red sauce is the best off their menu. The service is friendly and welcoming. Love the huge TVs to watch the football games and the live music always makes it seem like a party. We like going for our date night.

Went for a late night dinner on a Sunday night. They placed us in the back, next to the blaring speaker which made talking with my friend impossible; we had to resort to texting. Fermin (not sure of spelling) was our waiter, and he was RUDE and inattentive throughout the entire night. I asked for a mojito, he said "that's for brunch ONLY" and pointed down at my menu before rolling his eyes. That was strike one. Strike two came when he was taking my order, he was very obvious ogling the drunk girl at the table next to me, and he could care less of what I was asking. Strike three was he never came back to check on us when the order was in. We were checked on periodically by the busboy instead of our actual waiter; busboy was incredibly sweet and brought us waters. He only came back at the very end to close us out and left back to wherever the hell he was hiding. Not impressed. My friend ordered the fajitas and they came out burnt and undercooked at the same time. He didn't finish them. Prices are incredibly high for mediocre food, drinks, and awful service.

Enter from the back, enjoy the paintings done by a well known San Fernando artist, a US Vietnam vet, the late Federico Blanco. Continue down the hall to the dining area. Beautifully decorated with warm colors, culturally significant and welcoming. There are booths around the perimeter of the room and plenty of tables and chairs. We are always greeted and seated upon arrival. The menu has great choices. The food is authentic and delicious. So many choices! Chile relleno is one of my favorites. But there are wonderful beef and pork selections. Recently a friend loved her chicken mole! The desserts are also great, so save room for cheesecake or carrot cake. And next door is a little bakery, so pick up something to bring home! This is a great restaurant to have a party or family get together. I have done both. I hosted a Cinco de Mayo luncheon with 35 ladies, some of whom had never been to that part of the valley. They loved it. Go and enjoy! Parking in the back. Support small local family businesses.

The atmosphere is relaxed, welcoming, and exactly where you want to be on a hot summer day. The seafood was incredibly fresh and refreshing. Parking was easy to find, which was a plus. The ambiance was casual, relaxed, and family-friendly. They have multiple TVs throughout the restaurant, and during my visit, they were showing a soccer game. I always like it when a restaurant broadcasts sporting events, even if it means the place sometimes gets very packed. I was really looking forward to trying their shrimp ceviche, but to my disappointment, they had run out by the time I arrived. I decided to go with my backup option instead: the camarones a la diabla. Camarones a la diabla is a dish consisting of shrimp cooked in a spicy red chile sauce. This restaurant also serves it with rice, toast, and a side of vegetables. As the name suggests, the shrimp are supposed to be spicy. As a spice enthusiast, I'm always on the lookout for the best spicy dishes. The shrimp were cooked well, but they had a sweet taste. It almost seemed as if they had used ketchup in the sauce to tone down the heat. I'm honestly not a fan of mixing sweet with spicy, at least when it comes to protein. The vegetables that came with the dish were soggy and flavorless. The rice was okay but could have been better. The toast was pretty good, it was buttery, garlicky, and crispy. Overall, this dish wasn't bad, but it also wasn't the best. The service during my visit was good. My server was attentive and helpful. He frequently stopped by to check if everything was okay. Overall, this experience didn't turn out exactly as I had expected, but it wasn't a bad experience by any means. I might return one day to try their shrimp ceviche.
