Great Korean food in Boca Raton... finally! We stopped by this new restaurant last night and had a great casual bite. Located on Spanish river between federal and Dixie, the restaurant didn't have a sign up yet, and it is on the quiet end of a shopping center. The employee at the counter was very friendly and helped explain the menu to us. We ordered a bi bin bap with Bulgogi beef in a hot stone bowl, Korean fried chicken in spicy sauce and a bulgogi taco. Everything was excellent. The bi bim bap in the hot stone bowl was delicious, especially with the crispy rice that forms on the edges of the hot bowl. The Korean fried chicken is a great portion to share and the sauce was very flavorful while not overwhelmingly spicy. The chicken would have been complemented well by a side of rice. The taco was a fun fusion with a Corn tortilla, Mexican cheese and cilantro on top. Overall we really enjoyed the food and the prices are fair. Around $15 per person. Our only suggestions are to improve the decor since it is a bit stark. In addition, they use a lot of disposable containers for sauces and sides and it seems to be a bit of a waste when sauce could easily be served in a squeeze bottle so that every order doesn't come with a little plastic cover and a lid that gets thrown away. read more

This place is amazing. I found it a couple weeks ago and I have, no joke, been back at least 4 times. Very authentic! Everyone working there is friendly and the staff goes above and beyond!! The flavors are out of this world and I can not stop thinking about it! Do not sleep on this restaurant. And it's all so reasonably priced. What a find! This small fast food looking restaurant is a gem. We sampled the delicious pan fried dumpling served with a dark dipping sauce. This was followed by bulgogi bibimbap , a lovely bowl filled with Korean vegetables, rice and bulgogi beef. Topped with a fried egg. Yum! Our other entree was pork bbq served on a steaming platter over onions in a dark soy sauce. The bbq came with 3 small sides,, Kimche,fermented bean spouts, fish cakes and rice . Just go here. Been four times in last month. It's epic in all regards. Mandu is perfect. I can not decide if my fav is the golbi or pork. Good luck it's a tough decision. Prefer Bibimap to tacos. For dinner with the bowl they include a cellophane noodle side dish that is holy cow delish. I believe they sell as a side as well. Family run place....they delivering the goods. My friends and I were craving Korean food. We were glad to try out the food at Tacowa. Tacowa is located in the same strip mall as Sherwood Williams and Carvel. The food arrived minutes after I placed an order. I particularly enjoyed the Kim Chi Jun (savory pancake), spicy pork taco, shrimp taco, KFC - Korean Fried Chicken with spicy sauce, Kim chi fries, Bulgogi bibimbap, Galbi beef short ribs. The Fried Chicken chicken and pancakes arrived pretty fast. They were delish. I enjoyed the crispy pancake a lot. I had the shrimp taco but I couldn't finish the spicy pork taco. I packed it to go for my daughter and she said it was delicious. The Kim Chi fries was delish. All ours orders were homemade tasty, not overly salty which I like. Owners were friendly too. read more
