The jjajangmyeon (black bean noodles) spot I've been looking for! Have you ever had it's cravings but then once you're a few bites in and you've had enough? I've been disappointed like that for a quite a few times but Tada Noodles has proven themselves and is now my go to for jjajangmyeon. Since it's was delivered, the pork and chicken were no longer crispy which is understandable. The flavor of the kkanboonggi (fried chicken) will make us come back ordering again. Though the tangsuyuk would be soooo much better if it was still crispy, I wouldn't order this again unless it's not takeout. I added a bit of chicken bouillon and salt to Jjamppong and it was amazing with kimchi on the side (from my fridge). The owner(s) slipped a dalgona candy into our order for free.99. Tada Noodles is delicious!! I'm a huge fan of Korean Ja Jang Myeon and this place did not disappoint. The noodles have a very nice chewy bounce and there is plenty of sauce to cover the noodles. The flavors are spot on and they provide enough pork, cabbage, and onion in their sauce so it doesn't feel like you're noodles with black bean sauce. This location is run as Ghost Kitchen though so if you are reading this review, don't be a dum dum like me and just show up. You'll want to either pre-order online for pickup or order for delivery. If you place an order on their website, the meal is cheaper than if you order through Grubhub. They serve out of a place that's basically 3 blocks of warehouses. If you arrive for pickup, it can seem confusing because it isn't a restaurant type place. You walk through a warehouse garage, through a warehouse to the end where they make their tasty noodles. Jjajayeong myeon from Tada was so delicious! It came pretty far for delivery, but was still decently hot when it arrived. The noodles stuck together as expected, but if you just add a little water (tip from the owner!) and separate out the noodles with the chopsticks it easily comes apart and remained the perfect level of softness. The portion of noodles they gave was massive and enough for me and my roommate to share. The black bean sauce came with large chunks of pork, onion and cabbage and was very flavorful. Tada Noodles is a ghost kitchen so you'll want to order for delivery (took about 45 minutes to arrive)! I wanted to support a local business and there isn't really much Korean food in the LIC area so I had high hopes! Luckily for me Tada Noodles did not disappoint. I ordered via their website directly to, hopefully, save some fees for both the restaurant and myself. But, they're available on a number of other apps for delivery such as Uber Eats. I got the Jjajangmyeon, seafood jjampong, sweet and sour pork, and the fried chicken (so most of the menu). Every item was delicious and the jjajangmyeon and seafood jjampong servings were very generous. My favorite was probably the chicken - super juicy! I was excited to try Tada noodles especially because jjajangmyun is not common in the Sunnyside area. For the price I paid, sadly it was not really worth it. jjajangmyun (2/5) If you are familiar with what Korean-Chinese jjajangmyun tastes like, the sauce here - it just wasn't good. Took a few bites and moved on to the next. jjampong broth (1/5) it just didn't taste like jjampong at all. No seafood flavor, not spicy - it tasted like chinese takeout hot and sour soup flavored with something else. My bf and I both tried a spoonful and just put it away. tangsooyuk (2/5) The sweet and sour sauce had a familiarity to it but did not have the crunchy outer coating but overall was just okay. kkanpoonggi (3/5) this was probably the best of what we ordered. Flavor was good but also missing crunchy outer coating. spam fried rice (2/5) paid an additional $1.50 for spam, opted for no egg bc it was an additional $1.50 for fried or $1.00 for scrambled which I thought was odd because fried rice at the bare minimum comes with some scrambled egg. It tasted okay, but the slices (not chopped) of onion, carrots and huge chunks of spam kind of took away from what I consider to be fried rice not to mention the big chunks of spam made a few bites a bit too salty. The JJampong consisted of mostly spicy oil and ginger (which is not similar to other Korean Chinese restaurants). The JJa Jang Myeon (pork) which is usually the standard food item on a Korean Chinese restaurant menu had a very empowering pork scent, which was difficult to consume. Do not waste of your money. If you look for a good Korean Chinese food this isn't the place for you. Tangsuyuk pork was soggy and salty with strong ginger flavored/ sauce was too thick. Kahnpoonggi was also salty and soggy/ sauce was too watery. Jajangmyeon sauce tasted like jajang powder from the grocery store. Jjampong broth didn't tasted like jjampong at all. There are few restaurants that are worthy of a 5 star rating, but tada noodles is one of those few. Kind service during the pandemic, and most importantly delicious food! I've made special requests for the spam musubi, and surprisingly they have accommodated without charge, every time. This is my main go to for Korean food, the prices are more than reasonable for the area. I've had just about everything on the menu via take out and it's all made so quickly, yet so fresh and tasty. Don't have Jjajangmyeon often, but in terms of the springiness of the noodles, intense flavor of the sauce, perfect fried egg, and tenderness of the pork it was the best bowl of noodles I've had in a while. I found Tada Noodles on Groupon for their meal kit services. They delivered frozen jjajangmyun and jjamppong kits to us within a day. The kits were meticulously packaged and also included step by step heating instructions. The meat in the jjajangmyun was tasty and savory, and the jjamppong contained so much seafood. The noodles were authentic and tasty. You also cannot beat the portion size. We were so impressed with the the meal kit noodles that we tried their takeout versions the very next day. They came hot and ready to eat. I liked how they included large paper bowls to mix everything in. Again, the portion sizes were huge and I think going forwards we 'd be able to share an entree and a side between two people. Overall the meal kit vs the take out menu tastes the same. We plan to order a few more meal kits and keep them in our freezer for the freezer. Super easy to throw together and you seriously cannot beat the freshness/quality. read more

I was excited to support a local Korean place, and objectively speaking the food tasted "fine". But as a Korean who grew up in flushing/bayside I guess my standards for jjajangmyun is pretty high. Overall, the jjajangmyun sauce was way too sweet, and the noodles itself was more similar to thin udon noodles you could just buy at the supermarket. Overall it was barely a step up from the packaged version you could buy at a korean supermarket. Tangsooyuk - the sauce was pretty good, no complaints there. The fried meat itself... I found it to be extremely salty, and had absolutely zero crunch... which really takes away from the experience. Also considering the portion size it's really expensive. To be honest, I'll probably head over to flushing the next time I'm craving jjajangmyun, but I might try them again in the far future just to see if they've made any adjustments to their food. read more

I will say I might try it again in the future, maybe it was just a bad day and I got unlucky with a few things. The jajangmyun sauce was too sweet and the noodles were not chewy. And I ordered the seafood one for $14.99 and it came with only two shrimp. The kkamgponggi did not have the crispy texture. The signature dish, JajangMyun was a really poor imitation of what JajangMyun usually tastes like. It was lacking the black bean flavor, and tasted more like beef sauce. It was really upsetting, and at this point i'd rather go to the grocery store and buy frozen packs instead. The Tangsuyuk was also tiny portions for being the same price as the noodles, and didn't have any batter at all. They were literally salty chicken strips without any crispy exterior. I know it's hard to order fried food for takeout, but this was beyond being rescued with an air-fryer. We ordered for 6 people, and everyone was really unhappy with the meal. Had the Jjajjangmyun and Kkanpoongi, and both were SO good. The black bean sauce is not sweet, as this dish typically is. But I guess that means it has less sugar, which means it's healthier? ;--) They put pork belly instead of a leaner meat, which I absolutely loved about it. The Kkanpoongi is completely different than again the typical dish (which is more crispy, sweet, and fried), so their spin on it reminds me more of a Chinese chicken dish. But regardless of the misleading name, the chicken is so, so tender and juicy, and the sauce is gingery with a little spicy kick and super flavorful.
