Food came out quick and hot. It's not the best ramen I've had but for the neighborhood it's reasonably priced and tasty. I really liked the takoyaki balls- there was a fair amount of octopus in it and it was crispy. The spicy ramen I had was good but I wish it had more substantial pork instead small amount of ground pork. It's a good place to eat after the climbing gym. Service was quick. Place was clean.
The deep fried squid legs are the star of the show here! Fried really crisply, and the legs are juicy and thick. The chicken karaage was underwhelming - maybe we got the last of the chicken of the day since we went so late, but the pieces were dry and small. The shoyu ramen is rather salty. Ambiance is casual, service is quick!
I've been wanting to do a review of this place for the longest! One of my fav low traffic places to unwind and enjoy a really tasty bowl of tonkotsu ramen The service is great and quick. They're usually consistent with the quality of their food so I haven't been disappointed. I also enjoy the popcorn shrimp and pork gyoza as a nice appetizer till your food arrives.
Got the shoyu ramen. The duck broth was clear and packed with flavor -- you can actually taste the duck in the broth. The noodles were perfectly chewy and the chashu melted in my mouth. The egg could have been marinated a little longer; I felt like it was lacking a little flavor. I also got the Ichigo cocktail which had fresh strawberry puree in it and was only $10! Overall would definitely recommend this spot if you're looking for a good ramen spot in LIC. The prices are pretty average for ramen ranging about $17-20 per bowl. Although the bowls may look small they give a generous portion of noodles and two slices of chashu so I was pretty full afterwards. The cocktails were also cheap.
I came here with friends & we were seated quickly. I ordered the karaage & shoyu ramen. The food came out fresh and fairly fast, probably because we came when it was snowing heavily outside. The ramen was solid for LIC quality, and I especially enjoyed the eggs & the shoyu broth.
Such a great find on a very cold day post Trader Joe's. I was craving for Ramen and was looking up what was showing with great reviews in the area and so glad I went for it. Staff and service were nice and warm. I ordered takoyaki and they were pretty good. But it was the Pork Tonkotsu Ramen that stole the show. The broth was delicious and the portions were generous. Definitely a spot that I would like to come back to soon.
A good ramen spot in LIC! Located near Court Square, this is right off the train and offers a cozy spot to enjoy some ramen and Japanese bites. Service here is fairly quick. I got their chicken karaage, squid, spicy miso, and wagyu ramen. Everything was delicious. Although I am a huge fan of chicken karaage, I did enjoy their squid more and would definitely re-order. Both of the ramen that we got were so rich and flavorful and I loved the broth. Between the two, I did enjoy their wagyu ramen more, but would consider re-ordering both. Delicious spot for some ramen!
One of the tastiest ramens I've ever had--flavorful without being overly greasy. I absolutely loved the ambiance and decor, which transport you to a charming, authentic Japanese store. The entrance features a fascinating comic strip that tells the history of ramen noodles. The service was quick and friendly, making for a delightful experience. We will definitely be back!
Came here for dinner with my friends and either we were all super hungry or the ramen is actually really freaking good... bc the ramen was really freaking good. We all got the tonkotsu ramen and devoured it so fast. Staff were super friendly too, gave us free candy!
We happened to be in the neighborhood and did a quick search for lunch--this place popped up with high Google reviews. The space has a modern industrial vibe, and the layout is nice with plenty of room between tables, which makes for a comfortable dining experience. We ordered the mango salad, but the mango was definitely not ripe--sour and not quite ready to eat. The salad dressing and greens were actually pretty good though. The chicken karaage was standard. The spicy miso ramen, on the other hand, was solid. It had rich, layered flavors and was really satisfying. I actually finished the whole bowl, which almost never happens. The place gives off that cozy, tucked-away feel--like a little local spot hidden down a lane in Japan, perfect for a casual, down-to-earth meal.
Came in person for dinner and there was no wait for 2 on a Wednesday at 6:30 pm. The spicy miso ramen was really good - great noodles. Unfortunately the gyoza was meh; not worth getting. Ramen is definitely shareable as long as you order a side of extra noodles!
Every time I visit, the food is consistently great. The shrimp popcorn is delightful, and the ramen is always well-cooked and perfectly seasoned. The ambiance is relaxing, and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. One small suggestion: the light bulb in the bathroom could be replaced with a brighter one--it feels a bit too dim in there.
UPDATED (for 2 additional visits) - It is our fav ramen spot in LIC/Astoria! Ambiance (5/5): The establishment has a very sleek interior with an open, welcoming layout. Although close to other tables, when I dined there was no one nearby. There is also bar seating in the front. Service (5/5): I came on a weekend night at 7:30p and there was no wait. Tonkotsu ramen (5/5): Pro move: ask for the thicker noodles (pic is original dish of thin noodles) This was a superb bowl of ramen! The broth is very umami with tons of depth, flavors, and creaminess. Noodles are the straight kind which has a little less bounce than I usually like but still plenty portioned to enjoy. The bowl comes with a lovely half soft boiled egg. The two large pieces of pork char sui were great--tender and flavorful. Reasonably priced bowl at $18 with some additional toppings like wood ear mushrooms, bamboo, green onions, and narutomaki. Definitely coming back here again to try their other bowls!! Pork belly buns (5/5): If you are already getting the pork belly in the ramen, this can be skipped since it's the same meat. However, the sauce was good and the meat is tender. Crab croquette (4/5): It tasted fresh and consistency of a normal croquette-- crunchy on the outside with a softness from potato on the inside. The light panko seasoning was a nice touch. It also comes with a small side of salad. Wagyu (5/5) - thin pieces of wagyu were very fresh and flavorful. The broth feels very soothing and lighter as it was but not as rich as the tonkotsu. I loved the pickled cucumber and cabbage. The thick noodles are perfectly bouncy and chewy. Shoyu Duck (4/5) - Light broth as I did not taste the undertones of duck in the broth. read more

chinese owned japanese ramen lol! it tastes fine. it's not the best ramen I've ever had, but it's the best LIC has got. they're pretty efficient and there's nothing really wrong with it, so I'll keep coming back as long as I live in the area. read more

Not all ramen place have chicken ramen in their menu, I was delighted to see one here and ordered. It was good! The food was presented well and was served in the right temperature, plus, the serving size is just perfect! The place is clean, cozy and cool. Servers were nice and attentive. I definitely recommend this place! read more

Stopped by on a Thursday for lunch. The place was relatively empty and service was prompt and kind. I ordered a tonkotsu ramen, and though it was pretty good I don't think I'll be coming back here due to the price. Food: Pretty good Ramen. Standard spicy miso flavor you'd get at most stores. Good enough to satisfy a ramen craving. Also ordered the Takoyaki and Shrimp starters which was good as well. We came here for lunch on a Sunday and were seated immediately. There were other customers there as well. It's a nice clean spot. Service was wonderful, very attentive! I got the tonkatsu ramen and my bf got the shoyu. We really enjoyed our ramen. I think it is a good portion for $16 like you will be full but not too full. It also came with a decent amount of toppings like the two large pork slices, bamboo slices, wood ear mushrooms, etc. My tonkatsu broth was very flavorful and not too salty. We shared an order of karaage chicken ($9). It was a little overcooked but still tasted ok with the sauce. I would come back here for the ramen. read more
Came here on a Saturday for a late lunch. I got the tonkatsu ramen with pork belly. So yummy and hot for the chilly day. We also got the takoyaki and chicken karaage. The takoyaki balls are huge! Love it. Chicken Karaage was also a decent portion size. We added a side of chilli sauce, which is worth the additional $2. I'd totally come back. Tucked inside Court Square is this fantastic ramen establishment. We came for a weekend lunch and were promptly seated. The decor is sleek and modern and the service was efficient and friendly. I tried the spicy miso ramen, which came with a pork base and had a variety of toppings (egg, bamboo shoots, a slice of corn). The broth was rich and flavorful, and while the bowl initially seemed on the smaller end I was quickly feeling full. My partner got the vegan miso ramen with added chicken, and liked his as well. It's a great ramen spot to try out. There's no need to make a reservation as the turnaround to wait for available seating here is fairly quick. But if you want to come with a large group, I highly discourage you to do that as the tables are mainly for small parties. The service was pretty great here as I got seated fairly quickly, and they took my order right away. My food was brought over fast, too. The menu isn't that extensive, so I knew what to order, which was the spicy miso ramen. I liked the texture of the noodles as it was chewy. Absolutely one of the best ramen spots in LIC!! The place was near the train stop- Court st station. And if you drive, there's also parking spots available nearby. The restaurant is clean and spacious. Our server is a very lovely young woman and she's very gracious and friendly. The food is really good and the prices are very reasonable. We got the mango salad, the calamari and the tonkutsu classic. It was delicious and freshly prepared! You could actually see the kitchen from the dining room. Overall, the dining experience is really great. I would definitely go back again and really wanted to try their other dishes on the menu! read more

The toriniku is excellent -- I don't know where else I would get pork jowl ramen! The food is also not overwhelmingly salty or spicy, which I appreciate. The service is also excellent! Seated next to me was a picky customer who asked to mix in a separate, plain broth into her bowl (so as to dilute some spiciness). Rather than accommodate her request, they gave her a new non-spicy bowl. I think it's great that the kitchen has enough respect for the food that they didn't compromise on the dish, and also that the staff was so gracious with such an outlandish request. read more
Overall, a cute place with nice warm décor with good ramen. I think for me the ramen was the best thing here and the apps were hit or miss. I thought the décor was great and super inviting, the restaurant is a good size restaurant, not too small and I liked how far the tables were spaced out. The food: Tonkotsu- Pork based soup, bamboo shoot, woodear mushroom, naruto, pork belly, scallion, half seasoned egg. I thought the tonkotsu ramen was the winner. The broth had such a rich pork flavor and the char siu pork was the biggest surprise of the dish. The pork typically tends to be an afterthought in the dish but this one had good flavor, good texture and was surprisingly stilly juicy. I'm vouching for the Shoyu ramen! If you like a lighter broth this is the one. The pork belly was a little charred which was a nice touch. It's a nice neighborhood spot perfect for meals with friends. I'll definitely be back! read more

Came here after randomly walking around LIC and got hungry around 3p on a weekend. Very quiet place, and very clean. Server was very friendly and courteous. The ramen was pretty standard, maybe bc we were very hungry, we thought it tasted pretty authentic and pretty good. The yuzu green tea was unique, offered in hot and iced. Left the meal feeling pretty satisfied. read more
Came to Ramen Spot in Long Island City after a friend recommended it and came here to try it. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with the most friendly attitude by this lady who happened to be our server as well. Throughout the service, she was very attentive, positive, answered any questions, and even welcomed us out with the utmost respect. For appetizers, we started out with karage and it was pretty good. Nice and tender on the inside while being crispy on the outside. It comes with a sweet, milky sauce that is creamy and added a nice smoothness to the chicken. It reminded me of some of the sauces they use for honey walnut shrimp at certain dim sum locations. I tried the tonkatsu classic ramen and it was very good. No complaints here. The broth was very rich and smooth which was great on a cold day and the cha siu was very tender with a good balance of fattiness to meat ratio. The toppings and noodles were good with the egg cooked perfectly. Great atmosphere, EXCELLENT service and the quality of food were great. A little bit on the pricey side so if you're looking for somewhere cheap for ramen, this probably wouldn't be the spot. read more
I'm so happy this place opened near us! We used to order via delivery from their Brooklyn location. I ordered the chicken paitan and he ordered the spicy miso. We were both so happy and left very satisfied. The broth is soul soothing and the noodles are perfectly chewy. Might be our favorite ramen spot! Ramen Spot is a reasonably priced ramen place in LIC. I really like the interior decoration here and staffs were very attentive and efficient. However, I did find the food missing the mark here. The spicy miso ramen's broth was actually quite bland - the miso flavor could be heavier in my opinion. We also ordered the karaage chicken as a starter - the chicken was fried well but they were all rather small pieces. And I'm personally not a fan of the mayo based sauce on the side. read more

Ever since we saw the sign go up on the storefront, my boyfriend and I have been waiting for this spot to open. Luckily, they were able to get up and running just before our chilly days in the city are over! We live right down the block so it's a quick walk over and I can already tell we'll be adding this to our list of neighborhood go-tos. For our first try, we each got the tonkatsu classic. I prefer thicker noodles, so I asked to sub those in. (The tonkotsu has thin noodles as the default.) The noodles were perfectly bouncy, not too soft nor too "al dente." The broth was really rich and creamy, savory without being too salty. The pork was the real winner in the dish though. One of my pieces was a little leaner than I preferred, but managed to be tender, not dry. The other piece in my bowl had a good proportion of fat to meat. Both were incredibly smoky, definitely one of the more memorable chashu I've had. A couple slip ups have me holding back the full five stars though. On the egg, the yolk was a bit more done than I prefer, nearly almost creamy instead of the custard-y jamminess I like for my ramen eggs. While the white of the egg was slightly tinged a light brown on the outside, I didn't really taste any seasoning at all - it just tasted like a plain egg. Bamboo shoots are one of my favorite ramen toppings so I'm glad it was a default here, but I wish there were more. The shoots were sliced up so thin, almost 1/4 of a typical slice, so I didn't get much bamboo flavor at all while eating with the ramen. Why so stingy?! Overall though, this was a very solid bowl of ramen. The broth is rich enough to hang with some of the best in the city and I already know it'll be dangerous to have this spot within walking distance of our apartment. We ordered to go this time around, but looking forward to eating inside hopefully once things feel safer again! read more
I have cravings for ramen and found this location nearby my friends apartment. Nowadays, restaurant have the QR code on the table to order, checkout and pay before your food comes out. The down side is the tip needs to be paid before serving. Soo.. it's like how can we rate the service without experiencing it? I got the Tonkotsu ramen that comes in w/ ramen broth, egg, cha shu, noodles and corn (extra charge). It was really good. I finished the whole thing so quickly I split the kaarage with my boyfriend. It was really nice. It had the right amount of crispiness and crunchy to it. Also, sauce on the side read more
