This place screams game day food. Stop in and grab some decent food before you go to the bills game. Menu is decent, and the wings were...alright. I did enjoy the maple fire glaze though. Really liked the all you can eat salad and soup bar. More restaurants should do this. And you can add it on to your meal for $6. Great deal and value. Our service was great and attentive and the restaurant itself had a nice old "historic" feel to it. Like it's been a neighborhood bar for decades. Danny's is located in the heart of Buffalo Bills mayhem. Perfect place to catch a bite and a brew before, during or after the game if you are in town. I was visiting and stopped in a for a late dinner and I just say I was surprised that it wasn't a little busier (Friday night at 8pm) however it being in the middle of winter I get it. Service was friendly and quick. My only thing is we ordered 4 glasses of wine and rather than suggest a bottle at price X; we were charged for 4 glasses for about $10 higher than the bottle. Business I guess but that's the difference in different levels of service. The food was as other's have said, not the best, not bad though. We got 2 wraps, the veggie lasagna & the Danny's Steak Sandwich. Got invited to dinner by friends & this is where they chose. It's been years since I've been here. When we got there the bar was empty and quite a few tables were available. We all ordered fish and a couple people added the soup and salad on. We all got broiled fish, I had mine with Cajun seasoning, it was good. I had a baked potato with it that could have been baked longer . It came with 1/2 slices of rye bread and a 2oz container of coleslaw. I thought the portion size was small compared to most places. I didn't feel the food was great but it was good. I had wings they were good they made them the way I asked and the sauce was good. I ordered the nachos. I had no idea how huge this order would be. It had ground beef but it wasn't seasoned, cheddar cheese that I asked them not to melt and multicolored nachos. The beef needed flavor as it wasn't seasoned and there was a little jalapeños, sauce just a little sour cream. Great food and fun place. Definitely Bills country! This is just a short distance from the stadium and they have a great variety of food. From classic and specialty burgers, to very tasty, crispy wings, to pasta dishes and fish fry. There is a salad and soup bar with 4 homemade soups on rotation. The atmosphere is very comfortable, the servers and staff were very friendly and the food was very good. I had the chicken marsala which was very tasty with a rich marsala wine sauce. Others with me had burgers which they said were very good. Great place for a small or large group and plenty of parking next to and behind the building. Game day it gets absolutely crazy but that is expected. Great food, friendly service and fun environment! read more

This place is such a fun Bills bar within walking distance from Highmark Stadium! It's one of my go-to spots for wings and beers before the game when I want something different from the parking lot tailgate. It's always packed on game days, but somehow you can usually still snag a seat thanks to the big bar and plenty of tables. I haven't been in this restaurant in many years I went in on Monday January 19. The service was terrible. The waitress Marie with tattoos up. Her arm was very rude unattended. Not a very pleasant person. The service took forever. And when I put a $50 bill down for a $30 meal she had the audacity to ask me if I wanted change like I was going to give her a $20 tip. Unbelievable I'll never go back to this restaurant again because of this waitress. Made me and my guests feel very uncomfortable like we didn't matter and like it was a bother for her to wait on us. I used to love going to Danny's as I think they have a great salad bar and soup but lately the service has been rough and the price of the salad bar continues to climb. 16.59 for me to have a salad ( I don't eat more than 1) and a couple bowls of soup is quite expensive. They offer 10 cent wings on Mondays and they are pretty good but the waitresses are just annoyed and cranky every Monday I go. I understand they may be busy and maybe their tips aren't the greatest those days but maybe it's also their attitude. I remember loving the soup and salad bar in the past, so when my daughter and I were looking for a lunch spot on a rainy day, we figured this would be the perfect spot. Unfortunately, the food wasn't that great. The soups were just okay. Actually, their infamous chicken wing soup tasted a bit sour and the sausage potato was very "floury," lacking flavor. Most disappointingly was the corned beef and cabbage soup. I attempted to ladle up cabbage, carrots, and corned beef, but it was 98% broth. I ended up getting about an inch size piece of cabbage and two eraser tip sizes of corned beef. I will admit that I do love their deep fried croutons and load up a salad plate with just those to snack on. The produce on the salad bar was not very fresh - mushrooms were wet and tasted like dirt. The pasta salad had odd mix-ins like pickled jalapenos. Atmosphere is dated and service was a slow (lack of check backs and waited a while for refills, plates to be cleared, etc.) Will we back? Probably not. I don't like to critic like this, but I feel like Danny's has done a lot better in the past. read more

Went there for their $.10 wing night with my family(4 of us). We placed our order. The waitress asked if we wanted blue cheese and carrots and celery. We all said yes. You can only order 10. They brought out the food and the blue cheese was only filled halfway. We got two celery and two carrots each. The wings were a good size but not very hot. They were just ok. When we were finished she brought us the bill then had to take it back because "she didn't add enough drinks on it. When she returned she had too many drinks on it. Apparently you have to pay for 2 drinks each. Even pop and the blue cheese is $1.50 and the celery and carrots are another 1.50. None of this was explained at the time we ordered. Now I know there's going to be an extra charge for blue cheese. But this was too much nickel and diming. Wings $1 Blue cheese $1.50 x 3 for 10 wings Celery + carrots $1.50 Pop 3.49 x 2 no free refills To go box $.40 x2 Total13.75 Not worth to save a couple bucks. Bad customer service to not inform their guests of all of the extras. They will also block you on their FB page if you try to inform other guests. read more

My family and I were in search of a quick lunch and having had mixed experiences with Danny's in Cheektowaga we gave the south location a shot. This ended up being a mistake. The food was decent at best, the chicken fingers were cooked, but the breading was a tad soggy and had no crunch. The beef was was on the dry side but go figure the one thing that was ok was the fries. The "buffalo" chicken soup wasn't even the same and tasted a little weird. Bathrooms. Don't. The men's room smells like someone pissed all over the floors. Just like a port a potty a bills game. Do yourself a favor and search elsewhere for food. read more

I am reviewing based on our experience with their Monday night special $.10 wings. We had a gift certificate and were thrilled to hear they were still running this special. This is really the only time I come here to eat and it's totally worth it. With the rising cost of chicken wings there is only a single order allowed per person. For each order of wings there must be 2 drinks ordered. Soft drinks are ok with the deal. Crudités and blue cheese are extra but worth it. You must also specify you are here for this deal when you arrive because only certain sections, usually around the bar, honor this deal. You can also order mini roast beefs, mozzarella sticks and pizza logs individually to go with your wings to round out the quintessential Buffalo meal. Wing sauce options include mild, medium, hot, extra hot, bbq, bbq sweet hot, garlic Parmesan, dry Cajun, general tso's, bourbon glazed and maple fire. We tried an order of medium and also the general tsao's. Wings were all big and juicy and cooked perfectly. Very crispy with lots of sauce. The medium wasn't too hot but have a lot of flavor and kick. The general tso's was a nice change up and was not too sweet. We also ordered 2 pizza logs and a mini roast beef which came with crinkle cut chips. Pizza logs were hot and delicious. I love being able to order 1 each and not having the guilt of eating a bunch. The mini roast beef was just ok. Not a ton of beef. It used to be $3, which was worth it but now is $5, no update on the price in the menu. I wouldn't order it again plus we were full from the other food. Service was very good. Like the old school Buffalo that I remember. Everyone was friendly, fast and helpful. Even the hostess was happy to seat us and let us know that the kitchen was a little behind but we could get our drinks right away. It was great to have the heads up and not feel like we were being forgotten about. I appreciate this old school hospitality and wish it was more present today. I hear good things about their soup and salad bar. Everyone raves about their chicken wing soup. It has a lot of cream and potato which I can't have so I take their word for it. Also a great parking spot to tailgate. If you park here you can use their restrooms. A real perk for the ladies! read more

Honestly, not at all impressed. I've been here before and it seems they have gone down hill. I was craving their chicken wing soup... sadly. I got the unlimited soup and salad bar which was almost $17... mistakes were made. The 'wing' soup wasn't very hot, and the veggies in it were crunchy and not cooked. Plus it seemed like they dumped a whole salt shaker in it, and I love salt but not this much. There was a moldy tomato in the salad bar too. Our server was running around like mad and forgot to bring us half our food. The vibe was chaotic... and not to mention, we waited at least 15 minutes for someone to take our card to pay after we got the check. It's not game day btw... just a Saturday at 5pm .... Get it together, Danny's! Sure as heck won't be recommending it to anyone. Fish fry was soggy and dripping with grease, so bad it couldn't be eaten. Served my chicken florentine with uncooked spinach (maybe add that to the salad bar) and the cheese was hardly melted. To top it off the orange slices for blue moon were quarters like lemons and limes!! The ladies room stall doors (all 3) were broken, and you got about a napkin size square of paper towel to dry your hand. The staff walks in front of customers carrying soup or stands in doorways. Our waitress was good but it doesn't make up for everything else! This place is a shell of what used to be a great place to dine. Won't be back! read more

Highly recommend. We just had a memorial luncheon for 80 people. The food was delicious, staff were wonderful and location is great for events. The food was good and our server was great. We had bloody Mary's with our lunch. I thought it odd they came with olives not celery. I don't eat olives but the person I was with does. After finishing her fish sandwich she ate the olives which she said didn't taste right. So she spit the second one out. Then had to run to the bathroom and threw up he r lunch. We told our server who was more than apologetic. Some one who I can only assume was some kind of manage r came over and only said it was a fresh jar like that means there couldn't be a bad olives in it. Nothing was done. I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at Danny's. I sat at the bar and the service was very efficient. I ordered the 10c wing special. You have to order 2 drinks per 10 wings. The wing sauces were interesting. There was a mango habenero, a hot cajun bbq, general Taos. And a couple others I can't remember. I split the sauces to hot bbq and general Taos. Both were delicious! Wings were big and perfectly cooked. (I don't care for crispy, I like cooked) the blue cheese is $1 extra and house made, very good. The best part was finding out the bartenders name...Audra! I've never had an outstanding experience here. On my most recent visit, it was their Monday Wing Special night. I believe it was ten, ten cent wings. I arrived around 9 to watch a football game with a friend. He ordered before I arrived, he received the wrong wings (I believe he wanted crispy and they were barely cooked past normal temp). My wings came out well before his new ones. There were only about 5 other people sitting around the bar, and we had to request they put the game volume on because it was just awkwardly silent in there. The bartender was incredibly socially awkward or just weird and I felt very unwelcome. They have a half sheet of paper detailing their wing special given to each customer. I kid you not it notes at least twice that you can only get 10 wings, no more, you must eat them there, no to go boxes, must buy 1 drink, and more. The price is cheap, we get it. When I ordered mine I seriously felt like I was made to feel like I was ripping them off because she reiterated at least 2 of the rules to me, even though I had already bought two beers and showed no signs of running out with their precious wings. If you're going to be so unwelcoming about it why bother? The wings were fine. Not a good MNF ambiance either. read more

I asked if we could pay extra to add cheese to the burger and the waitress said no that is not the special. She also told us that we have to eat the burger there and can't bring it home because people are filling up on the salad bar and bringing the burger home. Went for a fish fry on 2/2/2024. Ordered a standard fry. Disappointed that it doesn't include the soup/salad bar which was included the last time I went but I can understand that. But the fish was not very large and not that good. Again much better last time. Did not order macaroni but just coleslaw. It came with this minuscule little cup of coleslaw. What a joke!!!! I couldn't believe it. Didn't say anything because I was in a state of shock. Never, never again!!!! They saved $.50 but lost me as a customer forever. That's how restaurants go out of business.
