    a plate of salad

I stopped by the Lindner cafe in the beautiful Taft museum. The setting was airy and elegant, with plenty of comfortable seating. The menu is small and served from a tiny kitchen so your choices will be limited. I tried a bowl of the soup of the day - lentil miso and it was tasty. The lentils were cooked perfectly, but some bread would've been appreciated. I had a basic salad and it was also okay, though it didn't need the raw onions and some of lettuce pieces were mushy. Service was quite slow. It took ages to get plates cleared and I never got a drink or water refill.

I enjoyed a delightful worktime lunch with a friend at the Lindner Family Cafe at Taft Museum on Wednesday. I made reservations online through Yelp and were seated right away. They have a beautiful outdoor patio to dine outside, but it was too hot to enjoy a lunch outside, so were seated by window inside. We were handed menus and given a few minutes to review, water with lemon was brought to the table. I decided on the Summer Vegetable Galette with a side salad and my friend ordered Croque Monsieur ham & cheese sandwich. Our food arrived pretty quickly and was served warm. My vegetable tart looked & after my first bite was delicious. My friend's sandwich was a bit runny on the cheese - we expected it to be baked, but literally cheese oozed from all over the sandwich. The side greens salad was delicious, fresh greens and vegetables with balsamic vinaigrette. Our waiter informed us of dessert selections he mentioned cheesecake and something else, I asked if they had anything chocolate. He hesitated at first, but then remembered they had a chocolate devils food cake with raspberries & cream - we were sold, we shared & devoured the cake. It was the perfect dessert to finish off our lunch. The cafe is a wonderful break from the hectic pace of downtown and the nearby interstate. Stop by the Taft Museum and enjoy a wonderful lunch in historic and art filled setting.

Attached to a an interesting art museum. The staff was very friendly and the security guards knew a ton about the history of the building. The food came really fast, and the tofu curry sandwich was fantastic.

I really enjoyed the break from touring the Taft Museum to eat at the cafe. The staff and food were beyond my expectation and I would definitely come back again!

Sit by the windows and people watch, or snag a booth and have lunch. The staff at Booksellers is very friendly and eager to help. If you're a traveler and are in need of travel necessities (phone chargers, Advil, other basics) this is a great place to swing by. The only downside to the café is that the food is a bit overpriced. The ham and brie croissant is delightful, and the cauliflower salad is a great side. The flatbreads are a safe choice and they also have grab-and-go parfaits and bakery items. One of my favorite tables in the shop (towards the front), is always filled with gag gifts and funny coffee-table reads. Booksellers is charming and a great spot to get your morning fix, or to drop in and get some work done. tl;dr: It's a bookstore, it's a coffee shop. Drink coffee. Read books.

Overall it was a bit overfilled so it was very messy and hard to eat. I could have done without the hidden coconut shavings inside. KIMCHI & EGG CROISSANT 5 I had this one for breakfast. I warmed it in my air fryer for 6 minutes on 330 so it didn't overcook. The croissant was flaky and delicious, and the kimchi added good flavor without being spicy. What's striking about the restaurant itself is how quiet and calm it feels. With limited nightly seatings and every dinner table doing the tasting menu there's a sort of orchestrated flow that permeates the space. Not to say energy is low or it's so quiet you feel self-conscious talking; it's just that nothing about the experience feels rushed or accidental. As expected, the bread course was phenomenal as was all the food we enjoyed! We opted for the wine pairing along with dinner, which results in about 1.5 or 2 full glasses over the course of the meal. The sommelier did an excellent job introducing and explaining each wine, as well as why it was selected to pair with each course. All told, a lovely experience and one worth repeating--and not just because the menu changes every season.
