My husband and I were in Olympia for my work training on our dating anniversary and wanted to go to a special dinner. We decided to do Anthony's weekday three course dinner for $35 special. The special is 3 courses M-F before 5:30pm. We arrived around 5pm and the hostess let us know that to get the special we just had to be seated by 5:30pm. It was a beautiful sunny day so we opted to sit on the patio. It was wonderful to look out on the sound and soak in the sunshine. Our waitress brought out warm bread and butter to start. We then each chose 1 option from each course for our dinners. My husband had the Caesar salad starter, portobello mushroom entree, and crime brûlée for dessert. I had the shrimp cocktail starter, smoked salmon fettuccine entree, and the chocolate mousse dessert. It was all delicious and I enjoyed the leisurely courses, it gave us ample time to chat and enjoy the views. I would say the fettuccine could have benefited from a little more lemon. I asked for a couple extra lemon wedges and it was much improved to balance the creaminess of the sauce. For 3 courses at Anthony's, $35 is a pretty great price. I probably wouldn't opt for 3 courses on the normal menu, and I don't usually go to Anthony's since it's pricey. However, the weekday dinner special is a great deal and I would definitely return for this deal!! read more

Anthony's is one of my favorite go to seafood places where I know I am going to get great food. I don't come here often, it's more of a special occasion restaurant but Everytime I do it's amazing! I love sitting by the window and seeing the boats in the marina bobbing in the wind. Everything seems so calm and beautiful, even when it's raining. This time I took my mom and we both got daily specials. She got the Mahi Mahi and I got the sole. Both dishes came with rice and seasonal vegetables. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. The service is always perfect too, seeing to our every need and always making sure we had refills. Not pictured was the seasonal peppermint chocolate cake that we devoured in an instant. I will absolutely come back for another meal and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to try seafood in the area. read more

Food was amazing service was lacking the lemon drop lacked liquor and I asked the waiter Russell 7 times to ask his manager to remove or replace it he say there was nothing that could be done so I ate the cost. The view was spectacular. Ambiance amazing. Lots of private parking in their lot and bathrooms were dirty. I went twice and each stall was lacking. I have had better experiences at the Tacoma and Edmonds location. I won't recommend this location. But a big clapping of hands to the chef and staff behind the scenes. read more

We went on a Sunday night to celebrate a birthday. It was very quiet, which was appreciated. The restaurant has a panoramic view of the harbor. Our server was friendly and brought our food out fast. Almost too fast, but I would rather have that versus the alternative. The food was a breath of fresh air. We have eaten at several seafood restaurants recently, and we have consistently been disappointed. I started with the Caesar salad, had the seafood fettuccine for the entree, and had the chocolate lava cake for dessert. It was all delicious! The seafood fettuccine had a lot of seafood, which should be a given. My only critique of the cake was that it needed a little more salt. This restaurant is more expensive, but it is worth it. This is the second time I've been to Anthony's and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The restaurant is lovely, clean and has a beautiful view on the water. It makes for a gorgeous sunset view! The service is just as wonderful. From the hostesses at the door to the waitstaff and bussers. The attention to detail and service was top notch. My husband and I both got the three course meal for 33.00 each. He got the clam chowder to start, I got the Caesar salad. Both delicious. The clam chowder was creamy and thick with nice chunks of clam throughout. The salad was crisp, cold, fresh, and dressed perfectly with a delicious, lemony Caesar dressing. The accompanying basket of delicious, warm sourdough with herbed butter was a nice addition to the appetizers! It was hard to not fill up on that alone! We both chose the garlic shrimp for our main dish. It came with basmati rice and veggies. I asked for no rice and was offered mashed potatoes instead. I still opted for just veggies and was given a generous portion of perfectly sautéed broccolini. My husband switched to the mash and was pleased. The shrimp was excellent. Fresh, tasty and crisp...no mushy shrimp at all. We both chose the Bailey's Irish Creme Chocolate Mousse for dessert. Nice strong Irish creme flavor in the soft mousse. It wasn't too sweet, and a nice ending of a great meal. This was my husband's first time at Anthony's and he said he'd definitely come back again! That's a good review from him! Plus, the price was very good for a three course meal! On top of a kind, courteous waiter, Anthony's will definitely get our business again. Oh! Make sure to check out the bathroom! All dishes are made with pride and arrive at your table hot off the line. Whether you order a traditional Caesar salad or lobster risotto you can't go wrong. Plenty of seating to take in the breathtaking panoramic view of the Harbor. Reservations recommended especially on special occasions and holidays. We happened to visit during high school prom and Mother's Day weekend so there was a 30-40 minute wait time. Normally service is fast but this time it took our food over 30 minutes to get to us. Our waiter was super apologetic and provided frequent updates on the food but with a hungry 6 year old the wait was painful. Management compensated by discounting our final tab. We know from experience that this is uncommon and only because it was a super busy time so we exercised patience. We quite often make Olympia/Lacey a weekend getaway destination and always come to Anthony's for dinner. After fighting through I-5 traffic to get here the no hassle free outdoor parking is a sweet relief. We did not order dessert this time but their seasonal cocktails and seasonal desserts are a must. Our recent experience reminded us why we haven't eaten at Anthony's in years. Our server, Brittany, was helpful & attentive. The others in our party enjoyed their steaks, but hubby & i were fully disappointed with our meals. Hubby said his fish-n-chips were mediocre. I let Brittany know upfront I am allergic to gluten. Altho the menu indicates some dishes either are gluten free or can be prepared gluten free, the cook either was inexperienced, under-trained, or uninterested in taking proper steps to avoid cross-contamination. After Brittany put in my order, she came back to explain it would be cooked on the same grill as foods containing gluten, and "is that ok?" How are cooks & servers at a restaurant of Anthony's caliber not better educated about avoiding cross-contamination? Instead i chose a salad, which was as underwhelming as hubby's meal. read more

Came here for Mother's Day and it was great. They start off with a blueberry crumb cake with butter and it's delicious and they give you seconds. So good. We were a big party, so we were seated away from the window, so we didn't get the nice view, but our waitress, Sue H. was nice and constantly checked in on us. The food was pretty solid. Sis and I got an almond chicken salad and it was pretty good. Mom got the Smoked Salmon Scramble, which was okay, but not what she expected because she didn't read the details and thought she'd get grilled salmon. Not the restaurant's fault, but because of that she was disappointed. SIL got the Pan Fried Willapa Bay Oysters which she loved. Came in on Friday night for my boyfriend & I's first time out without the baby for my birthday. Restaurant didn't seem to be too busy. Called ahead for a reservation. We arrived at 6:35pm couple minutes late to our reservation. We waited a bit to be seated at a table. Once seated we took our time looking over the menu & drinks to see what we wanted. My boyfriend encouraged me to try something different for dinner. So I did I got the seafood fettuccine. Which I was hesitant about the muscles & clams. Never has a meal like this. I looked forward to eating prawns for the first time too. We waited a very long time for our food.... Once it arrived we dug in. Boy oh boy I should've went with my gut & changed my meal to something else. There were NO PRAWNS, the smaller shrimp was the size of a dime & looked like the frozen shrimp you get at the grocery store. The entire dish tasted frozen & gross. When the waitress asked how our food was I was so embarrassed this $50 meal was so nasty. I wanted to sent it back. I replied "it's fairly good". Even thought I wanted to say no. While I have my boyfriend's plate in front of me. You could tell we weren't pleased. We had waited over 30 min for 2 seafood dishes, that shouldn't take long to cook. After questioning us about our food. The vibe between us & the waitress was very weird. Placed our desert on the table & dropped something else. Didn't apologize. Acted like it didn't happen. Seemed like she no longer wanted to serve us. While I went to the bathroom. My boyfriend had over heard the tables around us complain about the same sea food fettuccine. My husband brought my mom and I for dinner for Mother's Day. We also had our little 4 month old. There wasn't much space for stroller- I don't think this place is stroller friendly. The service was great. The food was okay. My mom and I ordered pasta that comes with crab. It was a little salty. My husband got a steak and he loved it. We ordered food and what was brought to the table was different from what we ordered. Grilled chicken Caesar was sad looking cold chicken and not grilled. We had to return it. We ordered something else and my husband had to sit and wait . Meanwhile my plate was brought to me... I ordered smoked salmon with red peppers and mush potato. The salmon came not smoked, without red pepper and instead of mashed potatoes rice. It was awkward to wait for my husband's food while my food was getting cold... Food was at best cafeteria quality. Though outside has nice flowers , it isn't enough. Our Waitress was very apologetic, but nothing was done to make our experience better. That wasn't working for me so I ordered fish & chips. The two piece fish & chips were actually one and a half. I've eaten at this location a few times and was disappointed at each visit due to the mediocre quality of the food. Their kids menu plates are large enough to feed an adult or two children. We'd likely visit again but unlikely to reorder the portobello mushroom plate. My husband and I decided to give this place a try to celebrate our anniversary and so I could finally use a gift card that I've been holding onto for months. For a place that seems "upscale" with a good sounding menu, we left feeling partially satisfied by the end of the night. Don't get me wrong, it was enjoyable and we didn't encounter any issues, however our experience was kind of mediocre in comparison to similar restaurants we've visited. This was one of those it was good to give this place a try but chances of us coming back seem unlikely. I had placed a reservation online via OpenTable (great platform to use to reserve seats) so we were seated instantly when we arrived. The front staff, our waitress, and cooks were all kind and had great hospitality. The menu has a decent selection of food to choose from. Fresh (and I mean VERY fresh) sourdough bread was brought to our table which was so good. We ordered the Dungeness crab dip to share and that was amazing; the portion looks small at first but honestly sharing it between my husband and I was just the right amount and the flavors were incredible. For our main meals I got the Alaskan cod and my husband ordered the 10 oz sirloin with tempura prawns. My plate was interesting, I thoroughly enjoyed the fish and the seasonal vegetables but the rice pilaf that came with it had pieces of pineapple and almonds which threw me off; wasn't a fan. My husband said his steak was a little overcooked from what he wanted it to be and it lacked some flavor, otherwise he still finished it and his tempura prawns were great. The amount of potatoes they had put on his plate initially was kind of a sad amount so he just requested for more. The dessert options were great, and we ultimately went with the huckleberry creme brulee cheesecake and huckleberry slump. Both were so good; they had just the right amount of sweetness and the berries were a great touch. Overall, I guess it depends on what you order. Their seafood options were great but I think how your order them in terms of what comes with the seafood kind of makes or breaks your meal quality. read more

We were supposed to wait 18 minutes until their grace period was over. Sorry Anthony's, you could have sat us, dropped menus and finished your grace period. I had to try the fettuccine before anything else, so next time I'll have the cod. BTW, Phyllis enjoyed the side of coleslaw with ginger, and I had a couple bites. It was so good I might go back for that alone. Next week we'll try Anthony's in Gig Harbor. Years ago we lived in Redmond, and visited Anthony's in Kirkland, Seattle, and Des Moines. My girlfriend and I chose Anthonys HomePort as a place to celebrate. We had been there twice before and had good experiences both times. This time was ... different. We were seated within 10 minutes (we had a reservation) by a door marked "exit", underneath the mounted marlin on the wall. We ordered two glasses of red wine and enjoyed the warm sourdough bread. We didn't wait long for our wine to arrive and the pour seemed generous enough. But no sooner did the wine get to our table, as did the infestation of ... fruit flies. Many fruit flies. Unrelenting fruit flies. I would call it a small swarm of disgusting little vermin. I went to the front desk and asked to be moved from the exterior door and explained why. They were apologetic and moved us immediately to a table deeper in the restaurant. Unfortunately, the scent was in the air and the flies followed us to our new table. So our entire celebratory dinner was us, and about 20 flies. Awesome. The food was outstanding as always, but hard to enjoy when swatting little flying (and perhaps unhealthy/diseased) critters away from the food and drink. After our meals, the manager came over and apologized for our experience, but nothing was discounted from the bill or done in a customer service outreach to make it right. I'm still going to recommend Anthony's because this was an outlier experience. But it'll likely be a while before we go back, and our future celebrations absolutely will be elsewhere. read more

Anthony's in Olympia is situated in the most ideal location for a restaurant.. It is right next to the farmer's market which is second only to Pike place market in the state of Washington, And is right downtown on the water. Is has some glorious views, You can see the boat traffic, the docks, the tower, and if you face the right direction yiu can see the capital building. The interior is beautiful, elegant, and modern. The service at this location was amazing, From the hostess to the person bringing the water to the server everyone was friendly and helpful and this truly elevated the dining experience. To start we had a pilsner and an aperol spritzer. With this we ordered a crab shrimp and artichoke dip that was not loaded with mayo and had great flavor from the impeccable ingredients. It was absolutely delicious served with little toasts. The toasts were just random cuts and, not nicely uniform pieces which I thought odd for the elevated status they are shooting for. We ordered a crab cake as an appetizer that was 99% Dungeness crab...how did they keep that puppy from crumbling apart because it wasn't loaded with filler and binder.. Delish.. so sorry I didn't get a picture. Everything up to this point was a win and frankly we should have stopped there. But we ordered the entrees anyway. I ordered a mahi Mahi dish from the season fresh sheet that was served with a mango salsa loaded with fruit and nuts. Yummers. The fish was a bit rubbery and not that palatable. The rice pilaf was meh...and 1/2 of my butter loaded green beans had dark ends like they snapped them a week ago and some where even yellowish in color and not that lovely fresh green that is so appealing to the eye. Peaches were in season and they offered drinks and dessert with the fruit at it height. We were to full to imbibe. I would recommend this location for drinks and appetizers, the enterees were expensive and not worth the price tag. read more

The steak was very flavorful and nicely cooked. The crab was delicious. The salmon salad was so pretty and the dressing was wonderful. Very fresh and appealing. The service was perfect. It was another 25 minutes before the waiter came for our drink order. The service didn't improve. The shrimp were okay but, with a lemonade, my bill was just under $50. The service was really fast, and the people were nice. I got a large ( bowl) clam chowder, Alaskan fish & chips, and bread. I loved the bread , wow. Kudos to the baker. Chowder and fish were good, about the usual in this city. I liked the coleslaw, it had unexpected flavors, like ginger. I got enough food for two people with hearty appetites for $36.
