The food: It doesn't seem like a lot at first, but what you get is actually plenty of food for the price. We filled up with just a basic plate of omelet and pancakes and some coffee. I will say that the pancakes are pretty dense, they could definitely use some fluffing, but everything has good flavor, including the coffee! I would definitely go back if I were back in the area for another hike.

I almost took away a star because during one visit they skipped forward through a Journey song, which is definitely a no-no for me, but I decided to let it slide... for now. They have a great selection of specialty lattes, and the deck ambience is hard to beat. You can feed the ducks, spot some deer, and just enjoy the wildlife along the river while you sip your coffee. The young lady advised me that the 20 ounce mocha came with three shots of espresso and asked if I wanted a fourth- which I declined. Thank goodness they know what they are doing! We drove up to the window and the employee there was very pleasant. It was a little over six dollars so certainly competitive in the coffee arena here. My mocha was tall and caffeinated!!!! For $20 you get a nice big sandwich, big bag of grapes, a bottle of water, two cookies, a bag of homemade granola (so good!!) and a bag of chips. It was so worth it and gave us different things to munch on throughout our day in the park. And they put it all in an insulated bag! When we were leaving Estes Park for Denver, there was a huge herd of elk hanging out near their food truck! Maybe you'll get lucky when you visit!
