Count me in for bubble tea and sushi-ritos!! I came to this location on the grand opening day and have come here a few times since then. It's a cute fast food restaurant! The set up is like a subway or chipotle where you can pick from a variety of protein (X1/x2/x3) veggies condiments and other various toppings. Currently because of the grand opening, everything is 20% off. They have sushi burritos, rice bowls and salad bowls. The decor is very modern, I love the little booths on the side and the individual bar like tables! They also do have board games on the side when you first enter, there is a bookshelf with games and little cute pandas! Every table has a cute journal, and now that it has been almost two weeks since it opened I have seen that they are filled with cute sayings from the customers. I really like the bubble tea here, authentic and I love that I can customize the sugar level and ice level for my drink. I personally really like the regular milk tea. There was one time I came here and I asked for less ice and it was filled with ice, but it has not happened since! Another tip: ask for their rewards card, after you accumulate a certain amount of points you can get free bubble tea and upto 10% off if you save up enough (for a lifetime)! I've been eyeing this place up every time I'm in the area, and finally decided to stop in this afternoon. I honestly have no idea what bubble tea is, so I'll have to stop in again to check it out. The inside is very nice and welcoming. I was impressed that they had the little buzzers to let you know when your order is up! I used a short check list sheet to place my order and decided on a sushi burrito with salmon, brown rice, cucumber, avocado and ponzu sauce (basically soy sauce). It was made in quick time and I took it to go. Upon getting home, I was excited to try it out. Although it looks small, it was surprisingly filling for me. This is definitely a new way to enjoy sushi. Tai Chi offers sushi bowls, salads and burritos that are ordered by ingredient, similar to Subway. You check off what you would like to eat an they prepare it for you with whatever ingredients you chose. You have the option for one (8.99), two(9.99) or three proteins (11.99). I had a rice bowl, it looked like a bigger portion than the burrito, with brown rice and lettuce. I had spicy tuna as a protein and raddish, cucumber, avocado ( no extra charge), green pepper and mushroom. I finished it off with wasabi mayo, wonton noodles and ginger. I will probably get the exact same combination again. They have a variety of bubble teas that you can mix and match, I recommend getting less ice. The atmoshoere of this place is GREAT! Buffalo is not a place I would normally think of for healthy food. Which is why Tai Chi Bubble Tea is such a refreshing alternative. Their design-your-own bowls and burritos are a healthy and delicious alternative. A great mix of greens, vegetables, and tasty raw fish for a reasonable set price in a container that could easily be split over two meals. Each time I've gone there I've thought "why don't I do this more often," which is part of why I'm rating it so highly (so I will remember to go again). In particular I recommend the spicy tuna and the salmon on your bowl, with a base of spinach, kale, and brown rice. Add the spicy mayo and a couple other sauces to give it a unique kick. When it comes to bubble tea I appreciate that you can ask for less or more ice, less or more sweet, and a couple of different alternative milks. The milk teas come default with 1/2 & 1/2, but they can do soy, almond, or whole milk. A little disappointing they can't do coconut milk, as I've found that taste fits wonderfully at other bubble tea places I've been. A quick note on this place though - I'm not a fan of the dine-in option. They have several small tables which can seat four and are closed in, so it gives you privacy but makes it hard to see if they're taken from first glance. Other than that the tables are all low with four armchairs around them. I haven't used the bathroom but have heard not great things from friends. I tend to grab it to go with no issues. read more

Excellent spot to get bubble tea in WNY. The service is great and speedy. Their fruit based teas are fresh and not fake tasting like other places. The pearls are soft and freshly made which add a great boost and the high tech machines seal the cups up to make them great for the road. Such a cute place! I tried the sushi burrito and bubble tea. I'm so happy and surprised that they even offer sushi burritos in Buffalo and these are done really well. You can add as many fillings as you want and pay per protein. The toppings are a mix of both Asian and American-style items. I was initially worried there would be too much rice but it was the perfect amount with a generous amount of toppings/fillings. The bubble tea was pretty standard but yummy (: The best thing about this place is the number of cozy booths and chairs that are perfect for studying or hanging out. I've been to Tai Chi probably 7 times now and I cannot get enough of it. Each time, I like playing around with the drinks. I highly recommend the smoothies over any other drink. I'm not a fan of their bubble tea, Tea Leaf's is much better. I recommend the coconut, mango, and pineapple. The sushi burritos are fantastic and filling! They're the perfect study food because you don't feel tired afterwards. I usually order: burrito with white rice, spinach, salmon tartar (spicy), cream cheese, avocado, cucumber, spicy mayo, eel sauce, masago, cilantro, mango, and fried onion. I highly recommend the salmon tartar. I found the other combinations to be a bit plain. I like spicy! Came here 3 times so far and every time I come, I like it more and more. This is probably the first spot in Buffalo that serves Poke bowls and I'm thrilled to say that the poke bowls are hands down amazing. I had low expectations of the poke here since I'm from NYC and nothing outside of NYC is probably comparable especially Buff, but I'm glad to say I'm impressed. I'm giving this place a 4 star because personally the drinks were okay to my tasting and not consistent. Sushi Burrito (5/5): The menu is a DIY menu. There are sheets are paper that you fill out and you check whatever you would like in your poke. You get an option of a bowl or a burrito. They charge you by the number of protein you desire to put. The rest of the toppings besides the protein are unlimited, so you can add as many toppings as you want without extra charge! Surprisingly, even if you choose the sushi burrito option, no matter how many toppings you choose, it will still fit! Though the portion may look small in pictures, it is actually really filling!! The poke is fresh and does not taste old and the sauce that comes with it compliments it so well. All the ingredients are fresh and delicious. Bubble Tea (4/5): The first two times I came, I got fruit teas: strawberry green tea and lychee green tea. They were both pretty good except they were extremely sweet so next time I get those I would choose the option of less sugar. I had the taichi green milk tea today, and it was not sweet enough. So the drinks in my opinion are really a hit or miss here, otherwise I would definitely recommend their poke!! Service (5/5): The service is quick here since it doesn't get too packed, at least whenever I went. Ordering takes about a couple seconds and it takes about 5 minutes or so to get your food and drink! Ambiance (5/5): The store itself is really spacious and the ambiance is great. There are booths where you can sit with friends and there's a notepad that you can draw or write on that's shared between all the customers (a really cute concept). Original review: I've been here over 10 times since they've opened, and I will say, they were awesome at first. I referred them to all of my friends, and brought a lot of them there as well. I've been to a lot of bubble tea establishments all over the U.S. & Canada (including dense Asian population areas like SoCal and Toronto), but I give their milk teas and drinks a 5/5. They're really good at making what their name says. The pudding they use is quite flavorful compared to some tasteless places I've been to (like KFT). The drinks are not too sweet either. I definitely recommend the classic pudding milk tea. Their prices are 5/5 as well. They give you better drinks of the same size for a more competitive price than other places in this area (TL & KFT). The food on the other hand is what compelled me to leave this review. I've invited numerous friends here to try their food and drinks, but the quality is quickly going down. The first couple times, they got my order spot on, despite the fact that I checked so many boxes on the menu! I was very impressed. However, as time went on, they'd make little mistakes like mixing sauce in when I marked to have it on the side or just missing one of the extra items I requested. Not a big deal to me. I'm not that picky. However, I went there today and ordered a rice bowl to go with 2 proteins. (Mind you, they charge by the protein count.) They told me upfront that there was no white rice left and asked if I minded brown rice. This was fine. I was glad they told me, and it was 30 minutes before closing. So, I wasn't surprised. I received my order quickly and left with my to-go bag. To my surprise when I opened my box of food at home, one of my proteins was missing. I ordered tuna & spicy tuna, definitely wanting the former more because it's actually whole chunks of tuna instead of mashed up tuna paste, but alas, my tuna chunks were nowhere to be found. I'm quite disappointed that the quality diminished so quickly since prior to this, they really impressed me with the wonderful atmosphere and design of the cafe. They even provide free wi-fi and board games for you to play. The food ingredients were always fresh, and turnaround was consistent regardless of the time of day and amount of customers. It's just a shame that their attention to reading the customer-filled menu cards has really dropped. The staff are super friendly and kind though. The previous times I've had minor order mistakes, they caught it right away and asked if it was alright before proceeding (like when they accidentally put the sauce into my bowl instead of on the side). I do recommend people to try this place, at least for the drinks if not the food. If you do order the food, be sure to check your order before you leave! This place is amazing- awesome, laid back decorations and ambience with a modern flair, easy ordering via sushi-like menu (pick what you want from the list and they put it in the burrito or in the rice bowl), they also have a great selection of bubble teas. Went there for the first time today with my family. Service was good, as the girl at the register patiently answered our questions and waited for us while we decided on the drinks. I am glad there is a new bubble place in town. I really like that you can adjust the sugar level in the drinks. That's one of the reason I like the bubble tea place on UB North campus (but I hate going there when school is in session). The four of us got 3 drinks and 3 food items since my mom doesn't usually eat much for lunch. My husband really enjoyed his spicy tuna burrito and taro Bubble tea. I got the shrimp salad bowl. I like that you can pick as many toppings as you want.i definitely want to try the burrito next time. My mom asked for no sugar in her drink and I asked for less sugar in my Rose milk tea. However, both of our drinks are so sweet. I wonder if they forget to adjust the sugar level? However, they definitely labeled less sugar on my drink. I'm really excited to have a place like this in Buffalo! To start there's a very intense bubble tea menu. So many different types and flavors to choose from. There's also a build your own burrito or bowl section. Just know if you do this you have to fill out a card with what you want then bring it to the people over in the build your own section. My husband and I decided to try this place after hearing about it from a friend. She couldn't stop talking about the ramen here. My husband got the tonkatsu ramen with pork and did not disappoint! The noodles had the perfect ratio of chewy to bite to them ( I wonder if they make them in house? ) and the broth was perfectly seasoned. The pork so tender it was basically falling apart. I got a spicy tuna poke bowl with rice and a bunch of toppings that I don't remember now (it's not cause the poke bowl was memorable but it's because the spicy tuna was that awesome!). The Tuna was dressed to perfection and the rice was the right texture. Honestly if I lived close by I would be there everyday! I had to knock of a star because my husband had to wait an absurdly long time to get his ramen but that could have been cause we went at what seemed like a very busy time. This place is pretty regularly frequented by students so it can get pretty loud in there sometimes...but if you're looking for a place to catch up with some friends over some bubble tea or maybe a bowl of ramen go here! Haven't tried their food but have been here several times for Bubble Tea. It's right next to the outlets so it's very convenient. Real clean restaurant, also they seem to be taking covid pretty seriously as everything is sealed off to restaurant. I appreciate that kind of care. The place is real clean on inside.
