The manager-on-duty (he was wearing a True Religion sweatshirt, I didn't catch his name unfortunately) was super nice and showed me everything that they were working on, which was helpful. Went to the Aurora Il location for an oil change. My engine blew out shortly after due to not replacing the oil plug. I went to Take 5 to let them know and they told me they did and it is on camera in the pit. THERE IS NO CAMERA IN THE PIT! This is a newer truck and it is going to cost $6 to $10 thousand to fix it. I have to pay for a rental until this is fixed as well which is not cheap. They lied to cover their butt, but an employee admitted the fact there is no camera in the pit. They need to take responsibility!!!!!!! read more

I have gotten decent service I when this past Saturday (2/14/26) and I was extremely disappointed for the amount of money I paid I expected the customer service to be better the were ok the manager Mason was polite however there was a young lady that was rude, she didn't speak but wanted to offer me other services, I told her you could learn to speak and NO I will not be spending another dime, get the customer service up to part. read more

They advertise 10 minute oil change but it's never under 30 mins even when there is no wait. $90 oil change doesn't include the $14 oil filter, that's a first for me at an oil shop. I gave them my $25 off coupon which they didn't apply and the solution was they will take care of me next time. Then as I'm pulling out he lets me know the heat shield they need to drop to do the oil change is missing two screws so he had to zip tie it on. My last 4 oil changes with this car have been there and this is the first I heard of that so these missing screws are on your shop! There will not be a next time we will not be going back to any take 5 oil change again. read more

If you wanna have lifter ticks and your engine, all messed up, go to this place with all these little kids very unprofessional. My engine for my Lincoln is all messed up the oil that I took out of it that I got done a week ago is all bubbly and black as can be my engine jumps and started acting funny so I checked it. I was really low on oil so I did another oil change after they charged me 100 and something dollars. It's not even worth the hassle to try to call and argue with them for them to tell you, they didn't do it. Be safe out there watch where you go with your car. read more

For the next 48 hours, I will be Uber Steph (normally Librarian Steph,) driving my lovely author/illustrator friends Matthew & Robbi all over town as they visit our students for OH SO MUCH book fun. And I am, like, incredibly organized. I can't think of a single thing I've left un-ready (is that a word?!) to go. EXCEPT: I'm leaving school tonight, and my check engine light goes off. And it turns out that I have exactly 0% oil left in my car. Which doesn't bode well for our visiting author and illustrator, now does it? ‍ Firestone doesn't have any openings, so I quickly Google oil change options near me... and everything is pretty much closed. EXCEPT: 31 minutes away is this drive-through option! And I call, and I talk to the guy who answers, and he's so freaking nice. So I make the trek and it turns out? It's freaking legit. And the three guys who change my oil are kind and courteous and helpful from the moment that I pull in to the moment I leave. Which is *IN TOTAL* TEN MINUTES. The world's biggest shoutout to Danny, Alex, & Antonio at Take 5 Oil Change in Aurora. What a lovely, refreshing experience. So many people seem cranky these days. EXCEPT: they don't! First time here. Great experience! Stayed in car whole time and was in and out in 10 minutes. Guys were very knowledgeable about my newer car and didn't feel like I was being upsold. Was offered a bottle of water upon arrival which was a nice touch! Friendly staff and they made me feel comfortable even though I had no idea what to do or where to go lol! I've used the Aurora location on Kirk road since it oped but I will never use Take 5 Oil Change again. Within 12 hours of my last oil change, my vehicle/engine started having issues running. I took my vehicle directly to the dealer, which cost north of $200, only to find out that the air intake filter was put in backwards. The next day I went back to take 5 to explain the situation. They offered me 1 free oil change. I countered with 2 oil changes since this would be closer to my bill at the dealer. I said they could give me 1 oil change and loose me as a customer or give me 2 old changes and keep me as a customer. They decided they didn't want my business any more. Pretty disappointing. read more

Great service and super convenient for a quick oil change. I like being able to just pull in without an appointment and you don't even have to get out of your car. They also showed me my filter was clean and didn't need to be replaced and walked me through the different oil options. read more

Beware! They're staff changes once a month. The only familiar face of the past 9 months is Donavon. He is unprofessional rude, and condescending. He and this establishment take no accountability for their actions, behaviour, or damage to your vehicle. This establishment cross threaded my oil plug. I went to their mechanic to determine fault and confirm the issue. It was confirmed this establishment cross threaded the oil pan. I was told is hear from the district manager, Mark the same day this was brought to their attention. Did not hear from him. Next day. Nothing. I still by personally. They have no manager, Kylan, the store manager is no where to be found and no one knows when he'll be back. Donovan refuses to contact, Mark, the district manager. I visited this place personally for the weeks at least four times, unable to get past their front line staff. Fast forward to yesterday. Another manager in training is their. Only after I disrupted their business by showing people the damage they did to my car and recommending they not have services performed here. Finally someone is contacting Mark, via text. Because, you know this isn't an urgent matter, right? He wants to blow me off another day and they tell me I'll get a call the following day, first thing. It is now 10am. I physically go to the shop. Recommend another customer think twice, and am off a sudden Donovan is motivated to contact his district manager. I'm still waiting to hear from Mark and will update this review when the situation comes to a conclusion read more
