this is the worse fkn one ever, they left my oil plug off and i was riding for 3 days with no oil, as i was driving from zephyrhills back to tampa my oil light comes on, then my engine light. on my way back to this place my car broke down 3 times, while my car was still on and running it just cut off. Went to this location right around the corner from my place. It was great. I had my oil change done, paid and drive off on less than 20 mins. The guys here have a great system. Continually calling out to each other as to what is going on. They show you the dipstick so you can see the new oil. After the oil change it done they have a quick check list they have 2 guys go through to make sure everything's complete. Absolutely flawless and easy. read more

As far as quick oil change places go, this one is as good as it gets. Each time I've been here, I've had great service. This time Dajon took care of me. He helped me set my oil maintenance reminder in my car. He had some really good information about how oil breaks down in the car. It's so hard to trust some places sometimes but this place is good. Rude young employees who walk away from your open window when less than 2 feet away then stand with their arms crossed and yell "pull up". The other one didn't even look up. Only other words said were "oil change" in a flat voice while looking off in the distance. I told him no that I needed an air check in my tire. He shrugged and said "it's broke" and walked away. Paid for a full synthetic oil change (about $82 after using a coupon). A full synthetic oil change should last anywhere from 5k-7k miles, and apparently their system only prints stickers that go 3k miles over your current mileage. Needing an oil change again. Didn't get what I paid for. Called customer service and they confirmed that it was strange and had me leave a message with the store, to which I couldn't so they had to pass along to the manager. Never received a call or voicemail from them. Shady business and poor customer service as a brand. Surprising the brand is even a partner of the Rays. read more

They give you a water while you wait, top off windshield wiper fluid, put air in the tires, and check other fluids as part of the price. They often have coupons, which I used today. I took my hyundai to this location on June 19 2021 and had what I guess was the standard service-oil change (with upgraded oil), new filter, check drain plug, plug gasket replaced, air filter replaced, etc at a cost of 113.40 which i thought wasn't bad and the folks were really great. I had a problem with a small leak so took it back a few days later and the follow up was amazing! 5 stars for the service and 5 stars for the follow up and resolution. Highly recommend and will definitely use again. read more

They changed ownership and it shows at this location. They could not change my oil due to not having a filter, which has never happened since being a customer. Instead of the guy telling me he couldn't do the oil change, he assumed I knew he couldn't do the oil change and proceeds to let me sit there 5 min with a tech standing in front of my car before he says oh you're clear to leave. We can't do it without the filter! Lol. Very professional. Seems like a shop that someone hired all their friends to work at. Won't use this location. I definitely will not be visiting this location again. I spent 45 minutes here sweating in my car, and spent $40 after a coupon for a no frills oil change. The gentleman running the show was training which is fine except no one "training" him stood by to assist so he would have to continuously go find someone. It took such a long time for them to even give me pricing info. I know I'm a woman but that doesn't make me an idiot but I felt like I was be treated as one which was disappointing. This experience was pretty in line with my last three visits with the company (which has been unfortunately every visit), but the boyfriend goes to Take 5 so I've followed suite for the meantime. This experience started out poorly but was redeemed by a change of attitude, with Michael being the customer service employee and I believe Dennis was the lead mechanic at the time I was in. Dennis and I didn't talk too much, but he was pretty to the point and got what was needed handled. Upon pulling in, I waited outside the building as every visit prior staff instructs you to wait and they'll direct you to which bay. Myself and one car behind me reacted the same, and waited to be directed, and instead were both individually yelled at by Michael with "what are you doing? You need to pull up to a bay, whatever one it doesn't matter" in a very aggressive tone to use to start a conversation with customers. I was instantly put off and responded that being guided had always been the routine (I'm not going to be yelled at for respecting what they need from me when every lane was blocked off and there was no acknowledgement or direction given). I pulled to a bay and was helped relatively quickly as they were finishing the prior car when I pulled in. I tried calming the vibe and used my customer service skills to try smoothing things out to avoid any more tension and he responded well and was able to explain what was needed and did a good job checking everything and making sure I had a good overall idea of what was going on with my car. After the initial interaction between him, myself, and the other car things went much better and they check all my car care boxes (oil, filter, air in tires) before we drive any long distances in the future. This was a step up from the other nearby location on Elrich, but I may try somewhere else next time. read more

Not going to lie, I was always iffy about Take 5. However this location has some wonderful folks. Very professional experience. I love the little things they do like washing your windshield and checking your tire pressure. They inspect your car for leaks etc. I found out my air filter was dirty and got it replaced. I recommend this establishment to anyone unsure of getting an oil change at a quick shop. I was serviced by two lovey ladies that verified all of their work as it was done. Full synthetic ranges from 70-90 a little high but not by much comparatively to other chains with bad reputations. Check for coupons I found one for $15 that they checked would be accepted prior to doing anything on my vehicle. Overall service was fast, but thorough, respectful, and most importantly no upsale. I went to my usual Take 5 location today on Dale Mabry in Carrollwood. I use my car for work as a part-time rideshare driver so I go there often. Today I had a groupon for $25 oil change at Jiffy Lube but I still went to Take 5 as I'm very comfortable using their services as they're very professional. Corporate has stopped offering the 25% discount to rideshare drivers. I know it's not this particular facility's fault because it's corporate doing the implementation. Not angry I left and went to a brand new oil change company closer to my house that gave me the rideshare discount. The price was the same as I used to pay as a loyal customer at Take 5 since they opened 5 years ago. Congrats Take 5, you just sent a loyal customer to a competitor. Oh and I've already informed Uber, Doordash, Gridwise and all the other apps that promoted your rideshare discount. Do you have any idea how many rideshare drivers used your service? read more

Went this location 2 time to ask if they serviced motor homes. The answer was always yes. When I took the motor home in for service, they made me drive it in the bay. With their guidance the attached awning scraped the entry door, ripping a hole in it. When they were finished I was told not to pull out the front but to back out. With their guidance again the awning hit the side of the door. This was all recorded on their video camera. I was told to get an estimate and they would take care of it. No such thing. All claims were denied by Kyle at 727-458-7964. On a positive side the staff was very friendly., but I will not go back and have any work done. read more

So I have been to two different of your locations and had very similar experiences at both. The staff wasn't very organized or knowledgeable about what they were doing. Which made you feel like they weren't trained or competent enough to work on your vehicle. Upon completion of both of my services I immediately stopped at the nearest gas station to check out my vehicle and both times I had greasy hand prints all over my hood and fenders. When I opened my hood my engine cover was not securely fastened. Neither was my air filter housing. What upset me the most is upon checking my oil level (because I drive a Jeep I paid for an extra quart) it barely registered at the very bottom of my dipstick and you and I both know that means that they shorted me my extra quart of oil. Which could have caused significant damage to my vehicle if not caught. I am very disappointed in the service that I received at both of these locations and to top it off your prices are extremely high for the poor quality of service that you provide and the poor training of your staff. I will not be a returning customer and will be highly recommending my family and friends take their vehicles elsewhere. read more
