Ok so months and months ago I went to Metro and typed out a very long review....I just deleted that…read moreone and starting this one lol. Just didn't feel like that last one was...right. I mean, what I said about this place and the staff was what I wanted to say, but yeah, something was off with the review. I know as I write if I'm gonna love what I've written or if I'll write one and then put in drafts. I'm weird, I know lol. Few weeks ago, the roommate and I went back here for an oil change. Sooo now I can write a review, a more updated one even if I say things very similar to my first review that I just deleted lol. Jake and Tyler run this place and they're fn amazing. Jake, as long as we have been going to him as always gone above and beyond to make you happy. The guy is amazing. Tyler, if I remember correctly, came along later (when they worked at Einstein's) and happy he did come along and happy he is now at Metro after Vavoline bought Einstein's...which was a shame because Vavoline sucks...that's for another review that I'll never do because I'll never go there lol. Metro is literally 30 mins from my house. So that aspect...well, it sucks lol. Have an old truck and during the summer it doesn't do too well with the heat. We still drive over to Metro regardless tho because we know we will get amazing service from an incredible staff of guys who know what they are doing and who actually really enjoy what they are doing. You go, you'll see what I'm talking about. The drive to Metro is totally worth it, it would be cool tho if they open a shop in Boise tho (wink, wink lol. I'd use the emoji instead of the creepy "wink" word, but Yelp doesn't allow emojis lol) One saying I've always heard in commercials and whatnot and have always thought "what a line of bullshit" hahaha is "we treat you like family" Metro, I don't think uses that cringe line, but they actually do treat you like family or like y'all have been friends for years. Yeah we have known Jake for awhile, but I have seen him interact with others and he is just as incredible and friendly with them as he is with us, as is the rest of the staff. Jake keeps us coming back tho. Great guy, service is always on point and prices here are perfect. They don't overcharge you or try to guilt you into buying something you DON'T need like so many of these places do. So even though they may not be 3 mins from my house like they used to be, the drive to Meridian to get the help/service from them is worth it. Jake and Tyler are the best. So happy Jake was able to get his own shop, he deserves it. I won't make this too long, so I guess ima end it there. I'm afraid if I go any longer, Yelp will cut me off. They always have a subtle way of telling me to "stfu already" hahahaha because my reviews tend to be a tad longer than most...I mean, why write a short one? Write exactly what needs to be said with maybe a small story of sorts thrown in there haha! Ok said I was ending aaaaaaand....I am! Thanks for reading Yelpederees! I'm a widow so it's hard for me to trust people when getting repairs done. They explained everything to me and did not push anything on me that wasn't necessary. He was a very polite and well educated gentleman. What disturbed me about this visit is that I believe it to be the 2 managers of the location I believe a female named Lindsay and a male with glasses not sure his name did nothing but run around yelling at the 2 younger gentlemen. They were yelling for all the clients to hear. I think I would double think on who you have running your business. That Llovani was super helpful and very professional even under the pressure of being yelled at for something he was not at fault at. The other younger one made sure to check in with me as well. He did not have a name tag but he had bleached hair. Was so happy to see the younger generation acting more mature than the adults. Those young boys earn the stars for sure.

I was the last customer, stopped in at 5:40-checked out at 6:04 PM (per my receipt.) Closing was 6 PM. The pit guy confronted me in the waiting room asking if I was getting a "last minute oil change." After yelling about being at work since 7:30 that morning. I could hear all the yelling from the customer waiting area. Never would I have thought that someone's hurry to get off work would equate to destroying my engine. Followed up next morning when they opened. Didn't have the bay doors open at 8:10. Was told my check engine code and severe knocking was a bad camshaft sensor by Mike the manager. Knocking continued, so I followed up the next day. Offered a free oil change, talked down to, Mike the manager avoided me completely. 3 Jiffy Lube visits (within 3 days) 9.9 miles later my car was inspected by a certified MB mechanic, stating I had minimal oil, and oil all over the engine, with clear photos that the oil plug was leaking brand new oil. They destroyed my engine by not tightening the oil plug. Denied all responsibility, refused to provide insurance information. Requested a call from regional manager, told I would get a call from Steve. Later, Mike the manager LVM for me, saying he wanted to inspect my car (forth time.) I don't know how many screw ups someone can have. I don't feel safe nor do I feel that Mike, the manager, has the authority to check my car after numerous failed attempts. Oil pressure controls the camshaft, having the wrong pressure is what caused the malfunction/sensor error. * I am filing this complaint regarding serious negligence and unprofessional conduct at Jiffy Lube #2540. After an oil change was performed at this location, my engine was damaged due to the oil plug not being tightened. Corporate regional needs to get in touch with me ASAP.

He had said they were doing a special. Pretty shifty if you ask me. I wont be back. He told about how other places technicians have to do at least 2 up sales per day. Charlie and his staff did a whole diagnostic on my car and handled the repairs quickly. In May 2025 my AC quit with a rattle and my check engine light came on. Meineke quickly found broken fan blades and corrected the check engine light through a series of diagnostic tests. It remained a frustrating mystery until a successful solution was found. I appreciate Charlie's professional determination and accessibility throughout the process. It is a black car that got caught in a small rain and some major dusting. Even though the car was dirty when I got it, I just can't turn it in that way. I explained to Jen my situation and she never even questioned me. She said, " let me open this thing up and get you on your way!" So, I gave her a candy and told her she is a "lifesaver!"
