NEVER use this company to change your oil. They damaged my engine with using the wrong oil and it cost me $4900. I've been going to the Charlotte location since they opened and have always had a good experience until today and now I will never go back. I stopped here in hopes of getting an oil change, but wasn't able to because they were so slow and I had an appointment to get to. They were extremely rude, no one asked why I was there or told me an estimated time to wait. The girl guiding me into the garage was extremely rude and just walked into an office and closed the door. Suuuuper slow. I thought this would be a quick in and out. I had two cars in front of me and it took an hour to get in a bay even though they had all three working. When I got in, no one really said anything for about 15 minutes. They then came over to start working on the car and only then informed me they only had the most expensive oil in stock for high mileage cars. Ok - the definition of Top Off is not Safe Level. And Safe Level was described by the service writer as in between minimum & maximum. I stated that the top off of fluids was more my reason for the oil change. My coolant & power steering are a minimum. My transmission seems to be OK however I will visit another company on Monday to have them check and do proper expected top off of fluids. The service check list stated my air filter was fine - without even checking until I called it to service writers attention. It stated the plug gasket was replaced. I'm hoping that's correct. All of these worrisome reviews with oil leaks leading to repairs was something I wish I would have checked before going however the $20 coupon is why I went. Will not be returning. And if I suffer any oil leaks or damages I will be returning after contacting the corporate executives.UPDATE: I had another business check the car underneath and everything appears to be fine. They topped off the power steering fluid & coolant and assured me the transmission fluid was full. Again - topping off to maximum is the expectation as it saves me money when you add up the costs of those fluids and it should be done on the initial visit not having to come back asking for this. I couldn't agree more with other reviews for Take 5 Oil Change. During lunch, I took my car to Take 5 for an oil change. Austin, Timmie and Matthew were awesome and very efficient. I felt as if I was driver in Daytona 500 getting a pitstop at Take 5. Ha, ha! Get a quick oil change, get all liquid level inspected, air filter replaced and tire pressure refilled. I then got off and started running in circle again. Ha, ha! I even still have some time to stop over CFA close by to order lunch. I will see those guys again every 3,000 miles. read more

Best! I usually go to vavoline but the lines were crazy so I backed out drove over to this place! I asked for a coupon and got one. No wait time. Last time I was at vavoline they didn't recap it correctly and I had to go back which was very inconvenient being I had an international flight the next day. That rare combination of super fast but also super thorough customer service! This was honestly the most pleasant oil change I have ever experienced. No getting out of your car, as soon as you pull up someone hands you a cold water and asks what you need. Once you pull in they give you oil options, and there is no pressure to buy extra like the other places I have been to. They even show you where the a/c filter in your glovebox is in case you want to change it yourself (I did not). So much better than either A) sitting in a waiting room for an oil change that takes forever or B) going to a place that is fast at the expense of customer service and performance. read more

WORST EVER!!!!! Went to the location on Lebanon Road in Nashville. I had a 25% off coupon that I was emailed from Take 5 through the VA that gives a 25% discount to Military and Vets with ID and is valid thru July 29, 2023. Mind you now the coupon was emailed to me BY Take 5 and I printed out the entire page in case there was any issues because something told me there would be. I pull up and there are five employees standing around smoking on their phones. No one of them come over as I sit there for a few minutes??? Finally, one guy looks at me and says "can I help you?" I tell him "I would like to get an oil change." Why did he think I was there?? I wait another 2-3 minutes and another guy comes to the window of my truck. I show him the coupon from Take 5 along with my Military ID. He looks at it and yells to another guy "are we still doing Military discounts?" The other guy says "No, we stopped doing that about a month ago." I said "Take 5 just emailed me this Monday." He says "Sorry man must have been a mistake." Then added "still want the oil change?" To which I send "No thank you." I then went online and got a coupon from Firestone for an oil change for $29.99 which is still less than a Take 5 oil change with the fake 25% off coupon!
