I called to see if they could assist since it was the end of the day and no where else but them were open. They said to bring my truck by and that they wouldn't charge to simply top off my coolant. I did as they asked, they filled my coolant, and did not charge me anything. They could have easy charged me or tried to upsell me on something, but they did not. That is why I felt inclined to write a review when I usually do not write online reviews. They seem like a good group working over there based on my one experience and would consider taking a vehicle back there due to their honesty and convenience.

Friendly and knowledgeable with all the charm and care that I would imagine a corner garage back in the 1950's would have. Everyone working as a team, making sure all I's are dotted and T's are crossed. In particular I'd like to recognize Barb and Darien as exceptional team players and brand ambassadors. I took my Audi back in today for a small issue I had since my initial oil change two weeks ago. These two great people remembered me and got the problem handled and quickly. Outstanding Service from Cesar at Grease Monkey - Sycamore, IL…read more Our car started acting up while we were traveling, and we stopped at Grease Monkey in Sycamore -- I'm so glad we did. Cesar helped us out, and his customer service was truly exceptional. We had been on the road for a few hours and discovered our engine had little to no oil. Cesar took the time to find the issue and explained everything clearly. He let us know that we were safe to get back on the road and confirmed that nothing was wrong with the oil plug -- the issue was that the previous oil change place hadn't tightened it all the way. He was very thorough, checking all of our fluids and the battery as well. Everything looked good, and for once, I didn't feel pressured to replace a battery or air filter just to upsell services. That meant a lot. Service was quick and we were back on the road to our destination in no time. I'm so thankful this turned out not to be a huge issue. After calling the shop and telling them what happened they stated they will send someone to pick up my car. My car set on the side of the road in the same spot for over 14 hours and I have not heard from anyone at this shop. I had to have my car towed to another shop for repairs. This Midas shop don't stand behind their work they claim they fixed the problem with your car and then you are out of pocket with your hard earned money and have to take it somewhere else to be fix.

Definitely takes the experience down a notch having to do all the repairs after the fact (not to mention how much time and gas money I spent driving back and forth from here), but the initial selling process and the fact that they stood behind their product and did the repairs after was great. ---- Never been here before but they had a vehicle I was interested in, so figured why not give it a try. I like the values they say they stand behind: faith, family and giving back. I said I was interested in a vehicle via cars.com and they got back to me within minutes giving me photos and videos of the car, it was very impressive. I called and asked some follow-up questions and the guy was very friendly and helpful and assured me the vehicle was in perfect working order and went through a rigorous inspection. I scheduled an appointment to meet with them, and they had it all ready for me to check out when I got there. I worked with Stephany who was friendly, knowledgeable, and didn't pressure me one bit. Very easy-going process overall and the pricing was fair as well. Halfway through I wanted to see if the dvd player worked and the manager of this location came out and gave me one of his own dvds so we could try it out, so that was super great customer service. Unfortunately they brought the car out to me after I paid for everything and the check engine light was on, and the brakes were very bad and possibly dangerous at high speeds (didn't find this out till I drove it home). They sent me home because the service department was closed, so a few days later I had to drive another 1.5 hours to bring it back into the shop, and the associate that was meeting me there was almost an hour late from our agreed upon meeting time. I had our little kids with us so it was not a fun experience waiting that long trying to keep them out of trouble. Eventually they fixed the check engine light issue but I had to come back (another 1.5 hours) because the brakes were still bad. I was told to drive it at least 500 miles because the problem could be because the car was sitting so long on the lot, and needed some time being driven. I was confident that was not the issue, and I didn't want to take a 4th trip out here, but I talked with Cody in the service department (who was a pleasure to work with) and he said he'd send a driver to pickup the car if we still needed a fix at the end of 500 miles. Sure enough, the brakes were still bad so a driver came, picked up the car, fixed it, and drove it back to our house. So all in all, it was about 2 months from the time of buying the car until it was all fixed. Wish it was an easier process, but at least we are now very much enjoying our (new to us) used car!
