I have been here for the first time and loved the way they took care of my car. The staff is very friendly, polite and helpful. Generous top off policy. They just opened this place around last Thanksgiving day about 4 months now. They will explain and suggest you the right oil for your car. They showed me upfront pricing and what would best benefit my car. You don't have to get out of your car and you just stay inside while they service your car. The service was quick and fast. Sherrod and Brooke were my service guys and they are very cool and know what they are doing. The price and service was excellent. They have also given me a $18 coupon as it was my first visit. They do the total 16 points service check and windshield clean which all includes in the service. The prices are little high compare to other places, but you get for what you pay. They have ample free parking in front of the business too. They are maintaining the place clean and neat. They are implementing all the COVID19 restrictions like wearing a mask, sanitizing, and maintaining social distancing. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area to try at least once and you will go back again.

Best service! The staff is polite, efficient and knowledgeable. They're running a limited time offer for a free car wash with an oil change. First time customers also get a $15 off coupon when signing up for their email. There are three drive throughs at this location. I got an oil change, and it was quite quick. I also thought of getting a change of air filter but they did a check and advised on not changing as it was still in good shape. Kudos to the technicians!

The attendants were kind, informative, and not pushy. They were done in what literally felt 5 minutes. Even offered me a discount.

So I'm going to list this in pros and cons and explain as I go…read more Pros: + Awesome waiting area - I've been in a lot of auto shops before, and waiting areas are important, but often not paid much attention to when it comes to auto repair shops. I mean, I have been in shops where the waiting room was literally a couch on the side of the garage. This is a tragedy because auto repair usually takes quite some time, especially if they have to order parts for your vehicle. This place, though, has a beautiful waiting area. A water cooler, several nice chairs, a children's play area, a large screen TV, several magazines on topics other than cars, including TIME magazine. There was also a nice bathroom for anyone waiting a while like I was. And on another note, in the bathroom I saw a drawer labeled "feminine products." In an auto shop? It blew my mind. + Good service - I called 3 different auto shops when I was looking to get my brakes done. This one was the only one that actually picked up the phone. They had a regularly manned front desk. The main person who handled the back and forth between the mechanics and me seemed to be knowledgeable about the mechanic side, but also able to deal with customers with ease, which is rare. The rain also started to pick up as I left, so he let me leave out the back instead of having me walk in the rain to my car. + Clean auto shop all around - Not only was the waiting area clean, but the auto shop itself was as well. + Fair pricing and knowledgeable mechanics - All labor and parts are broken down on your bill, and if there is extra work that needs to be done, they will discuss it with you first. It was also nice that they managed to get a picture to show me of the part that needed to be replaced, so I knew they weren't just making stuff up. Cons: + Limited parking at the office - There are only three parking spaces before the mechanic's yard. Two were used when I got there. If anyone had arrived after me, I don't think they would've had anywhere to really park unless they went directly into the yard. In general, this auto shop was very good. For most, the experience would've rated fantastic, however, I'm particularly picky when it comes to auto repair shops. Before I moved to Atlanta, I had a regular mechanic in Oklahoma who was better than any other I've ever had. He was the kind that walked you out to the garage to show you all the problems in person that he found with your car. He also did the job in half the time in comparison to most repair shops. Had he repaired my car on this occasion as well, if I know him, he would've told me the extent of the repair within the first 15 minutes that he was working on the car, and likely had the repair done within two hours. In comparison, it took over an hour and a half for this shop to even ask for my consent for the bulk of the repairs and another 2 and half hours to complete. By industry standards, this shop is still very good, and would be rated probably as one of the best in the area. However, its still not on the same level as the auto shop I had in the past. Therefore, it still left me feeling less than completely satisfied.

Because of that, I always pay for the warranty, and I'm extremely glad I did. Recently, I hit something on I-20 that completely punctured my tire. I called the store, explained what happened, and they immediately guided me through the next steps and provided the number I needed to file for a tow for the following day -- which ended up being completely free. Going into it, I was bracing myself for a $300+ tire replacement. Somehow, the professionals here worked their magic and brought my total down to $97. I was honestly shocked -- and incredibly thankful. The team here is consistently professional, patient, and helpful. Even though they stay busy, they communicate clearly and keep things moving. My longest wait has been about 3 hours at most, which I consider very reasonable for a high-traffic auto service center in Atlanta. Between the warranty protection, the customer service, and the way they truly look out for their customers, this place has earned a loyal customer. I genuinely appreciate this team.

Jim at the Good Year Auto Service at 3298 LaVista Rd. in Tucker is one honest and fair businessman. The place is trusted by many. I could tell as I was there yesterday afternoon, 5/6/2026, observing other customers come in and leave their cars overnight for repairs. You could sense the customers' trust in the place. I myself was there to get a tire replaced. It had a puncture from a metal. The mechanics at Gwinnett Place Honda said the tire could not be fixed, so I had to get a new one. Fortunately I had purchased road hazard insurance when I bought new tires last September. Jim looked at the tire and said it could be fixed. They do it all the time. He had his guy fix the tire. No charge. I didn't need to use my road hazard insurance. Earlier, he spent 15 minutes on the computer, trying to register the road hazard insurance for the four tires I had bought last September. The "Roll by Good Year" mobile installers had not done the registration last September, so it had to be done now. I was so impressed by Jim's patience and effort at registering my tires. 15 minutes! Am so grateful. I highly recommend Jim and his auto service shop.

The Jeep passed Emission Testing a week later (yeah!) and is running well. We still "heard a noise" and brought it back for another inspection. They determined it was not a safety issue and advised we could wait, or repair. I appreciated their honesty as my goal is to provide my youngest daughter with a safe vehicle to use in College. Wright could easily have told me "it's a safety issue" and I would have paid for the repair but they were honest, and they have earned my business for many, many years. When I was shopping for a car, I brought a vehicle in for a general inspection. I scheduled the day beforehand, and although I was advised that it would be better to bring the vehicle in first thing in the morning, I was unable to do so because I couldn't get ahold of it until noon. I made the receptionist aware of this, and he scheduled my appointment for the afternoon. I brought the vehicle in at the agreed time the following day and called an hour and a half later for a simple ETA on the inspection. I was not rude or aggressive in any way, yet the owner David took it upon himself to rudely tell me that he had not looked at it, would get to it when he could, and that this wouldn't have happened if I had just bought it in first thing in the morning, even though I made it clear to the receptionist a day beforehand that I wouldn't have the vehicle that early. Heated and irrational, I decided to leave a two-star review on Google about David's rudeness. Admittedly, this was not a wise decision, but at the same time, how could I have known that he keeps a sharp eye out for bad reviews when he's supposedly swamped with work? Sure enough, I get a call from him demanding that I take it down. I refused and decided to just go get my car, ignoring the angry, long-winded text he sent me, in which he said he would no longer do any of the non-existent repairs on a vehicle I had brought in for a general inspection. When I arrived at the shop, he refused to give up my keys, physically holding on to them and actually snatching them out of my reach when I tried to get them back. I could have called the police since he legally had no right to withhold my vehicle, but I had more pressing matters to attend to. He gave up the keys and glared at me as I left, leaving me in absolute awe of the unprofessionalism I experienced. I regret writing that first review for sure, as it was purely reactionary, but if they had simply told me they were fully booked and could not accept my appointment, then none of this would have happened. David might be a great auto mechanic, judging by the many perfect reviews his company has, but it is clear to me that he becomes quite rude and aggressive towards customers whenever he's in the wrong. If you look at some of the other one-star reviews here and on Google and see how he replies to them, you'll see what I mean. Somehow, some way, it's always the customers' fault when something goes wrong. Never his.
