My kids don't mind the sandwich's , and the mashed potatoes with dark brown beef gravy "odd" for a chicken place where surprisingly good. My two piece chicken meal that was supposed to be white meat was not and was dark meat was undercooked , it was disgusting to say the least the skin under the crispy layer was still grizzly . The chicken strips , I'm not sure what the hell they where but they where soggy not crispy and couldn't even be torn apart due to not being cooked enough. After notifying doordash we recived a credit and ordered dinner elsewhere. If you like you meat cooked go elsewhere. read more

This is absolutely my favorite place to get fried chicken. I always stop by here when I'm in town for their food and some bubble tea. It's a little expensive, but I really haven't found another place that does fried chicken as well. The breading is delightfully crispy and well seasoned, while the chicken meat remains super juicy and flavorful. The tenders and thighs are my favorite cuts. It takes about 10 minutes for the food to be prepared as they fry it fresh once you order, but it's so good when still piping hot from the fryer. read more

Really nice customer service, pretty cool vibe when I walk in. Ordered an 8 piece, highly disappointed it was all dark meat. I assumed it would be 2 of each but sadly mistaken. We tried TKK this week and LOVE it! No more Chicken Shack for us! There was a lengthy delay between ordering and pickup (our issue) so I think the corn steamed and it lost flavor but hubs loved it. We got 1/2 spicy and 1/2 mild for the 8-piece family pack. The spicy was over the top for us, glad I didn't get all spicy!! The biscuits are what you'd normally find; nothing special but there if you're like them. Curly fries were SO good but the sweet potatoes were AMAZING! Got the family meal and enjoyed it greatly. Everything was extremely crispy and fresh. Chicken was seasoned well and their sauces are pretty good. We enjoyed the shishito peppers, fries, and biscuits, which were all great. The shishito peppers weren't the best deal, but were very good. I removed one star due to another experience where I ordered their 5pc chicken strips. I found the chicken to not taste as good and it was surprisingly not crispy despite seeing them fry it fresh when I ordered. As far as the seasoning goes, I found it to have a little too much white pepper, which in combination with the lack of crisp was unpleasant. Placed my order on the app, which super convenient and easy to navigate! I decided on the spicy tenders (3pc) and side combo with cheese curds. I also added on a order of shishito peppers and boba of course! I arrived at the quoted time, was treated by two friendly staff members who quickly gave me my food and drink. I opted to eat in the car because I was running errands all day and was starving but still had a few more stops! The chicken was crispy on the top but the pieces toward the bottom got a little soft. As far as spicy I'm definitely one who loooves heat! But I couldn't taste really any on the chicken. It seemed like some spots had bursts of seasoning but not a whole hot tender kinda deal. The breading is good, but sauces gotta step up, tasted like McDonald's sauce packets? The cheese curds were good but that's always a solid item to order anywhere, it's cheese . The shishito peppers were ok but no seasoning or anything? The pricing was on the higher side IMO, $20 for a meal with a medium drink with no addins. Not a satisfying experience so far. I was skeptical about ordering from this restaurant but decided to give it a try (since it has some good rating). I have a take out order and it's totally disappointed. First the chicken was no longer crispy when I consumed it. The chicken tastes gross and my husband has a bad stomach after the meal (I'm not sure if the oil is rancid or overly used). Further, I ordered cheese curb, which is soaked in oil and looked gross. We ordered online in order to minimize wait during COVID. We live a mile away, but the fries were lukewarm and limp (it's August, not cold out). The chicken strips looked crispy, but they were also like warm and rubbery. When I pulled one apart it seemed undercooked. I only ate one out of the five, pulling off clumps of soft batter. They also forgot part of our order and and my son back for it. I ended up putting the chicken in an air fryer. It was finally completely cooked, but it lacked flavor. We should have just gone to KFC. Been wanting to try this spot since it just opened up in my area. Rochester finally has some more diverse cultured food and drinks to offer so I couldn't pass up the chance. ATMOSPHERE Has the same layout as the Sterling Heights location except it has deep fryers for cooking Fried Chicken of course. Clean and warm decor makes for a nice cozy hangout spot especially for the college students down the road. FOOD I came for the TKK Chicken but it was not what I expected. For the price I paid, I expected better quality. The meat was juicy and tender but the batter was not seasoned or cooked properly to me. Not sure if I came on an off day or wrong shift but the chicken batter had thick chunks, came out really dark, and was barely seasoned (Frying oil wasn't changed?) It doesn't come close to other Fried Chicken joints like Popeyes, KFC, or even Jollibee that has that golden crispy crunchy skin. I enjoyed the side dishes more than the Chicken. I like that their Mashed Potatoes are made with REAL potatoes and not the typical packaged flakes (Has potato skins mixed in) plus the dark gravy is really tasty with nice seasoning. I appreciate that the Shishito Peppers and Corn is charred giving it a smoky flavor instead of the typical boiled kind you usually get; portions are really small though especially for the family meals (Only enough for 1 person really). Biscuits were okay, moist but had no buttery flavor or adequate seasoning to them. I wish they served white rice too which makes sense as it's an Asian establishment. DRINKS Milk Teas were good and same as the other location. Flavorful and right amount of sweetness for my taste. CONCLUSION Perhaps this establishment is more about the Kung Fu Teas than the TKK Chicken but we'll see how it does. I want to like this spot as it's new and gives the Rochester area a nice change in the food scene but I'll come back again and give it another try soon. read more

New favorite spot for sure! Me and my boyfriend came here and were absolutely blown away. Delicious food and very friendly staff. I got the 5 piece spicy chicken tenders with mashed potatoes and gravy. The chicken was super fresh and very tasty. Nice and crunchy with a great flavor and heat. I loved the mashed potatoes and gravy, highly recommend dipping your tenders in them. My boyfriend got the spicy chicken sandwich, not even the deluxe with fixings and he said it was amazing on its own. No need for sauce or anything. He also got the curly cheese fries. The only complaint might be that on the menu the fries are pictured as having cheese kind of broiled into them, but the cheese was a more cheese sauce served on the side but it was delicious none the less. The honey mustard sauce is also very good. This location is joined with a Kung-Fu Tea and we also had some boba while we were there and it was definitely the cherry on top!
