I stopped by after seeing the hype online, but overall, the experience didn't live up to expectations. As soon as I arrived, there was a line out the door. The space is extremely limited--only about two to three tables inside and a couple outside--so it feels crowded and a bit chaotic. With how popular this place has become, the setup just doesn't accommodate the volume of customers very well. First off, the prices are on the higher side. I paid around $40 for two large drinks and a torta. The torta itself was $14, but the al pastor meat inside lacked flavor and didn't stand out. Honestly, you're better off grabbing tacos from a good street vendor--they tend to have more authentic flavor at a better price. As for the flautas, they didn't look like what's shown on TikTok. They are very large portions, which could be a plus for some, but it's a lot of food--definitely too much if you're not someone who eats big meals. I wasn't able to finish mine. The drink also missed the mark; it tasted more like a mix of lemonade and strawberry rather than something well-balanced. Other downsides: long wait times, dirty tables, and it's hard to hear your number being called if you're waiting outside. One positive note--the music inside while waiting was enjoyable and added a nice vibe. Overall, I'd rate this place a 3.6 out of 5. It didn't meet my expectations, and I wouldn't return.

Last visit 03-22-26. Been passing this spot for the past 9 yrs. Came once for some some asada tacos but that's its. Everything was made fresh to go. The food was great. Better than I expected. The birria was tender and flavorful. The consomé was also good. The service was great. The cashier was polite and professional. He was very patient as I looked over the menu and when placing my order. Restaurant is small. Seating is available outside and inside tho. It was clean and real chill. Not a lot of ppl but it was busy. I would definitely return for the trio.

I saw this place on Instagram, and had to try it. It's a small joint with just two indoor tables and one outdoor table. Came there for lunch on a weekday and got an inside table. Ordered their flautas Ahogadas, taquitos, and Birria taco. Everything was made fresh and was so bomb. The flautas and taquitos were so crunchy and tender inside from the meat. My favorite dish of the day was the birria taco. There's already so much flavor in the taco meat, but the consomme takes it over the edge. I could order another. Another thing worth mentioning is that their salsa are super super bomb. The workers are warm, and make your food fast. Recommend a visit.

Yes!!!! Long line but well worth it. Food was delicious, service was friendly. Very small seating area literally 3 tables inside, 2 outside good luck on getting a seat to eat in but there is a nice park at the corner to sit and enjoy.

Been driving past this place for quite some time and heard it was good!! so hard to choose from all the items, decided on the torta Cubana!! the torta Cubana comes with milanesa, ham, hotdog, cheese and egg. It was delicious!! And big enough to share! It was $16.99 a little pricey for a sandwich, but worth it because we could share and I took half of my sandwich home..

Heard about Takos from TikTok & decided to give it a try. We initially went on a Saturday night & it was an hour and 45 minute wait. That was actually crazy so we decided to go back on a weekday, a Tuesday, right when they opened. That was probably the smartest thing we could have done. The first time we went we both got Asada tortas and they were so delicious. This was my first and only time trying one, and I definitely recommend it. The Asada tacos were just regular, the Asada burrito was just regular, nothing special. We also got the giant flautas Taquito type things. They were sooooo good. I don't even like sour cream and they have sour cream on them and I devoured them! I believe they were chicken and potato. They come in this sauce, the sauce was so delicious! It was like cabbage inside the sauce. Honestly, you can just eat the cabbage in the sauce, it was giving vegan pozole, that's how good it was. They could probably put that on the menu and serve that just by itself, but that all together dipped in the flautas was delicious. Every time I've been back, I either get the torta or the flautas definitely recommend just be conscious of the certain times and days that you go because there will be a wait.

Me and my brother were looking for a place to eat on Rosecrans and bellflower blvd. and we came across this small little gem. It's probably one of the smallest restaurants in this intersection and it is a Birria taco restaurant. Claims it is Tijuana authentic. And the flavors prove it. And the made with beef not goat meat so it's really really enjoyable. Like I mentioned it is small. There's probably 6 chairs inside the restaurant and 8 chairs outside of it. That is it. I made my food to go. From the looks of it, everybody was making their order to go. In the time that I ordered and received my food there was a lot of people coming in. Everything taste good their salsa are very spicy. All that food you can easily feed three people total was $67. I gotta say this was pretty good and I will be returning for the rest of the menu.

Heard about Takos on IG, although I've driven past several times. There was quite a line due to the post I saw being on IG and Tik Tok. Takos is located in a strip mall that has plenty of parking. There are two tables inside and two outside. Small place, mostly for carry out orders. The cashier was friendly and not too phased by the surge of guests. He filled the self-serve salsa, lemon and cucumber station when I advised him here were out of cucumbers. I ordered what I saw on IG: Flautas Ahogadas. I ordered to go because the inside only seats 6 and the tables were full. Flautas were potato and pork. They were quite large and I could only eat 2. They were tasty and crispy. The flavor of the consume was ok and I enjoyed the cabbage and vegetables that were served with the dish (as well as the sliced cucumbers). Enjoyable meal and leftovers. Not crave-able enough for me to go back for that dish. I may try something else if in the area.

Tried Takos and had a really great experience overall. The service here is super friendly and welcoming -- easily one of the highlights of the visit. I ordered the flautas ahogadas and a shrimp taco. The flautas were delicious, topped with salsa, cheese, and lettuce, and packed with a beef-and-potato filling. I actually liked the potato in there, though it does feel a bit like filler -- and while the dish was really good, it's a little on the pricey side. The shrimp taco, on the other hand, was excellent and easily my favorite bite of the meal. The spot itself is small but very clean, tucked into a small lot, and feels well taken care of. Overall, great food, standout service, and a place I'd happily come back to -- especially for those shrimp tacos.

I've been here a few times since my initial review and what I can tell you definitively is that they take a very long time to make and serve your food. Even if you order ahead , avg about 20 mins after scheduled pick up time. All the take out drivers are upset as we all wait.

Literally a hole in the wall. Very tiny place but with very delicious food. When we got there around 1 pm there was a little line. Like moved fairly quickly by ready to wait a little for your food, it does take a little. The food is amazing. We tried ordering birria items but they were sold out already, so instead we ordered their famous Flautas Ahogas 10/10. Probably my favorite item I tried, warm, delicious and just great flavor. We also ordered the Tijuana torta 10/10, very tasty and delicious. The Gringa was delicious too. No complaints highly recommend visiting this spot. Amazing and delicious food.

Had some Quesitacos aka "Keto Tacos" For the first time and absolutely loved them! I had one asada and one Al Pastor. The meats were soft and well seasoned. The cheese shell was crispy and not too oily. They were the perfect tortilla substitute. The held up pretty well and did not fall apart when I bit into them. There were 3 different types of salsas (habanero, avocado, and another thSt I didn't try), there were pickled onion and the staple taco accoutrements. My only complaint is the salsas could have been a little more spicy. The staff was nice and I can't wait to make this my go-to taco Tuesday spot! read more

Customer service terrible both men were rude . I placed a phone order . The man sounded very irritated when I asked for the "Keto "Quesadilla that is all over the IG page . He told me they didn't have it today , but I ordered a "Keto"taco along with a few more items . I was told 25 min for pick up . Arrived was not welcomed @ all waited about 3 min for anyone to acknowledge me after I said hi here for pick up @ the counter . Then was asked "what name" ? I Paid & was told to wait another 15 min . I had really high hopes for this place. It's a whole in the wall taco joint, and those are usually the best, but honestly it is so overrated. I feel bad for those who gave it a 5 star review because clearly they have never had good tacos. The tacos where SO bland. The meat was unseasoned and the sauces taste watered down. We also ordered the flautas and they don't give you any sauce with them, they expect you to use the salsa from their salsa bar. It took about 30-45 minutes for us to get our order and there was only 3 orders ahead of us. For a Friday night you'd think they would've been more prepared. read more

This is my second time coming to this business every time I come there is a unpleasant encounter with the same employee I could be wrong but I definitely feel that race plays a factor I asked for shrimp nachos and I was denied told me I will have to pay extra for shrimp when last time I got shrimp fries with the shrimp no extra charge then then i asked for a shrimp taco and was told they only could make it one way at the time but had all over tacos i was so confused I'm not in to playing the racial card but this was ridiculous Because a Spanish woman order shrimp nachos right before me no up charge tell me if I'm tripping I'm just saying. I will not be visiting this place anymore definitely off the list highly don't recommend this to No one read more

I had a torta de asada and it was pretty flavorless. My husband had 2 tacos fundidos and they were much better than my torta. He also had taquitos and they were very skinny mostly tortilla hardly any meat. I wouldn't return nor would I recommend this place. The guy taking our order was not the friendliest didn't even say hi or thank the only words that came out of his mouth was the total. read more

I am amazed! When first walking in I didn't expect much. After ordering, I was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. At first I was like, why so long. But OMG! Best nachos I've ever had! And I'm a nacho connoisseur, I eat nachos every day. The chips do not get soggy! Even down to the last bite! The cheese they use is so good. And all 3 salsas I used were amazing! Nachos were $9.99 plus tax but it was worth every cent! I forgot to take a picture so this one is a picture of me eating it half way through. Their packaging is nice too. read more

Loved everything about my tacos, the meat, the guacamole, the salsa. I left a very satisfied customer and will definitely be returning when craving some tacos that have that authentic taste. The asada and al pastor were so juicy and that's hard to find now a days. Small little taco spot. Good for taco Tuesday. Best to order to go due to the small space. I was lucky the day I went so got to sit down and enjoy my asada tacos. Prices are affordable. They definitely need a third person in the kitchen because it does get busy. I'm definitely coming back to try the many other options on their menu. read more

I decided to DoorDash some tacos from this restaurant they look very good in the Photo when I receive them they were soggy full of oil Pastor tasted good I also ordered a lengua one full of Greece fat I didn't get lengua I got nothing but fat disgusting I ended up throwing up because of the grease that was on these tacos I have heartburn due to the tacos as well I will not ever order from this restaurant again read more

Ordered through DoorDash and got a notice from the person picking up the order that they aren't letting him in to pick up the food and the employees just waiving him off while mopping the floors in the kitchen. I called the restaurant to see what is up with that and they won't answer the phone even though according to this they're open til 10. Probably dodged a bullet according to the 1 star reviews I see here. Won't be trying out this place. read more

Wow! Ladies and gentlemen welcome to the rediscovery of awesome tacos. These tacos called "Tacos Fundidos" will make you want to hire their service for your next backyard gathering. The tacos are become a savory trip down to Puebla Mexico. Each ingredient is combined and layered to create delightful bliss in your mouth. The tacos have a crunchy layer of queso fundido with a perfectly seasoned handful of al pastor meat and thin slices of jalapeños and a blanket of thinly sliced of avocado and to top it off a drizzle of delicious chipotle sauce. I ordered a vampiro with carne asada and al pastor(con todo), chicken taco, birria taco ( con todo) I'm going to start with my favorite, to my least favorite. Vampiro: visually it looked very appetizing. I was excited to try it. The looks were not deceiving! It was flavorful crunchy. It made me happy when I bit into it. My only Takeaway would be that it was a bit greasy. Aside from that, I loved it! Chicken taco: this one surprised me. When I bit into it, it had a nice smoky flavor in the meat. Very tasty! With a dash of the red and green salsa with a lemon squeeze! it really elevated it more. My only Takeaway would be a little dash of some salt overall I enjoyed this taco and it was delicious. Birria taco: this one made me sad. It was my least favorite and I love Birria. It lacked flavor the meat was chewy even with the salsa and lemon, I hated it. Quick heads-up though: the photo shows 2 takos and the name reads "camarón Takos," which honestly made me think I was getting a pair -- so that's the only reason I'm holding back that fifth star! I also added a carne asada taco for $3.75. I placed my order at 12:25pm with a 1:00pm pickup time -- seemed like a stretch for lunch, but hey, it was peak hour! I showed up at 12:45 and my food was already waiting for me. Oh, and don't sleep on the salsa bar -- definitely grab some on your way out! The spot is modern and super clean, with a cozy vibe -- just 2 small tables inside and 2 outside, so it's a cute little gem! Now the FOOD -- the camarón tako came with cabbage and this amazing orange sauce, and the flavor was absolutely incredible! The tortilla was different than the usual -- looks like it was grilled with cheese -- and it gave the whole thing such a fun, delicious twist! The carne asada taco was just as amazing! Came across this place on Postmates and they are bomb! They have Quesa tacos which is a fried cheese shell instead of a tortilla shell which is different and delicious! I loved the taco fundido, chipotle salsa and poblanos peppers made it tasty! Also carnitas is my favorite and instead of shredded they have diced pieces which are crispy and not dry at all! I wanted it all in my mouth, twss. I think the only things they fall short on is the horchata and the salsas. But I think the quality food items make up for that. I tried this new place and I actually found the best whole in the wall they have the best CEMITAS with lots of quesillo. I personally tried the Milanesa and it was Bomb. To top if off I ordered the Quesa tacos and just made my mouth revolt in flavor the cheese shell its so crunchy and tasty; their meat is so flavorful i tried asada to die for. Wow, have to say, much impressed with the food! Got some tacos, both asada and chicken, and we loved them! The carne asada was very tasty! The chicken was a little plain, but when you dress them up with that red sauce, the tacos sing! The red sauce is a bit smoky, with the right amount of spiciness! This place is good! They do take long to give you your food, but it is worth the wait. Took about 20 min for me to get Takos and a torta. The have 2 small tables inside and 2 others (one that fits 2 and another that fits 4) outside. Don't come in expecting to get a table. I've tried the tacos fundidos, mulitas (huge amount of food) and gringas all highly recommended.
