Went here for a work dinner and it exceeded expectations. You can tell there's a lot of effort and care for the food they make! They handled our party of 11 very well, and seated us in a semi private area upstairs looking down on the restaurant, which I loved! they also had another room with another private party next to us, but it still felt separate. Food felt fresh, and desserts were top tier. Would recommend!

Taksim is definitely worth a visit, we went as a group and everyone enjoyed their dishes! The interior is moody and cute, quiet enough to hold conversations. The best dishes from our group were the lamb chops and Güveç, both well seasoned and tender. The dumplings were our favorite of the appetizers we got. I think I would come back to try the 7 course tasting menu, at $65 pp it seems reasonable. We also got a complimentary dessert since we had a birthday, the pudding was delicious! I think what makes this a 4 instead of 5 stars is the price point for what you receive, it's all good but not "blow your mind" good, and it's on the pricier side. Still would come back again!

Perfect spot to celebrate an anniversary The vibe felt so intimate and homey, with a balcony on top! My boyfriend and I made a reservation for the $65 tasting menu and it was amazing! Before going, I was worried the portions might be small and that we'd leave hungry but we were both surprisingly full by the end. Every dish was thoughtfully curated, and honestly, the sauces were what made everything stand out. We also ordered the wood-fired bread outside of the tasting menu because it looked too good to pass up. And the butter paired with it was amazing. Top dishes in the tasting menu for me were the cauliflower, fried shrimp, and the shish kabob. But THE standout was their chocolate dessert. I actually don't like chocolate (unpopular opinion), but it was so good we both went silent and completely cleaned our plates. The servers were also so nice throughout the whole night. Since we were celebrating our anniversary, they surprised us with glasses of champagne!

Visited Taksim on a Thursday evening and was so happy they could accommodate our group of 5 without any reservations, which has become a real challenge in SF these days! We mostly got apps and I really enjoyed the dips, pita, crunchy shrimp and lamb skewer. The service was good and food was classic but executed well. Definitely want to come back to try their $65 tasting menu!

Great spot in SF for Turkish food! My friends and I made a reservation and our service was quick and attentive. Restaurant has three floors, which creates an intimate and bustling environment! We ordered trio dips and flower bread for our appetizers, which were flavorful! Especially loved the garlic butter the flower bread came with. For our mains, we ordered the wheat berry risotto, eggplant, and cauliflower. Our mains were delicious and incorporated a variety of flavors. My only gripe would be that the portion sizes were slightly on the smaller side. Overall, would highly recommend!

TLDR: one of the best restaurants in San Francisco; definitely a fantastic spot for a romantic date or celebration. This place is at least as good in service and food as Michelin stared places I've eaten at. This restaurant is competing with a whole different class of restaurant than their prices would suggest! The service is better than Michelin stared places I've been to and the food is easily in that category. The food is Mediterranean with a focus on Turkish dishes and flavors with the unique artistry and creativity of first rate chefs and prepared by some of the most skilled staff. The presentation alone is often worth the price of the dish. The flavors are as close to perfect combinations that are unique while maintaining the spirit of the dish they are inspired by. I was blown away by their take on risotto which I really feel shows off the skills of the individual chefs; and I liked every other dish even more than that. The staff is also some of the friendliest, most helpful, most accommodating, and most accomplished I've ever seen. They cater to what seems like every dietary restriction. They are very attentive and our server had incredible recommendations for drinks. That brings us to the drinks. Whoever designed the drink menu should get several awards. The cocktails are easily some of the best and most creative I've had in the city and the wine list is superb featuring a wonderful selection focusing on sustainability and highlights Mediterranean wine well. This is now one of my favorite places in San Francisco!

First off, the service was absolutely amazing. Great staff attentive at all times! Between each "course," our plates and utensils would be switched out. Great seating and vibes inside -- it gets quite busy immediately, so I recommend getting a reservation. Everything we ordered was well-balanced. We started off with the pita trio -- pita was very fluffy and the three dips were each different and unique, but not strong or overpowering. The shrimp was tender and the exterior had a good crunch, but personally didn't find anything largely standout for this dish. The last appetizer was the beef kebabs. Beef was tender and extremely flavorful. We each ordered entrees and I got the grilled chicken! Nice portion and really interesting egg yolk mousse to pair with the chicken. For dessert, we ordered the Taksim donuts, which alone was not too sweet. They recommended adding the chocolate and other creams, but I personally found those additions to be too sweet.

Probably one of the best deals for a tasting menu in SF. Highly recommend. The staff were friendly and the food was very tasty (and filling). Great place to meet up with friends or family.

Made a reservation for dinner here before a concert at Chase Center on a Thursday night, and I'm very glad I did. We decided to go for the 7 course tasting menu, which at the price of $59 per person (before tax + tip) is an excellent deal. We enjoyed almost all of the courses. For the main course, you have a choice between the Branzino (5/5) and Shish Kebab (4.5/5), and I highly recommend going with the Branzino. I had never had sea beans before, but I must say the branzino paired with the grilled sea beans was phenomenal. The crunchy shrimp (5/5) was the other stand out dish. I also really liked the Manti (dumplings) (4.5/5). Service was good - with the multi course meal we had multiple servers bringing out different dishes. Ambiance-wise it's quite nice inside. The only reservation I could get last minute was at the counter, but with only two of us we got our own separate counter space, which was nice. The location is right next to the Fourth/Brannan muni station, which was convenient.

yummyyy the service was a 12/10, the staff accommodated our party of 8 very well by anticipating our needs and being super nice when we kept ordering. the staff was also so nice because we mentioned it was someones birthday and so they brought them out a candle lit dessert. anyways food was delicious and healthy!

In a word: wow. I usually take my sweet time writing my reviews, but after eating here last night I ran not walked to spread the word on how great Taksim was. Located just a 10 minute walk from Oracle Park, this is a perfect sized restaurant that offers a smooth ambiance and outdoor seating. The service was top notch with everyone being so kind and attentive. As for the food...floored! You can tell there is so much care and thought put into both the ingredients and presentation. We had the oysters, beef dish and the branzino which were all fantastic. There was no skimping on quality which I feel like is so hard to find these days. Taksim, please keep doing what you're doing! I can't wait to come back.

I was looking through OpenTable and saw Takism had plenty of same day availability, so I decided to give it a try. We did the tasting menu, which had a wide selection of dishes, and I was definitely impressed with the food! We started off with some cocktails, both of which I was not a fan of. Mine was basically a glass of champagne with a raspberry in it, and my partner got a peach cocktail that was sooo sour. We also split a Turkish beer, which was really good! The dishes were all perfectly timed, and we never waited too long or felt rushed. It was also fun sitting at the counter to be able to see the chefs at work. My ratings of the dishes: Ezme Crunch - 9/10 delicious but tiny lol Patlican - 7/10 super unique but a bit too mushy for my liking Blackened Cauliflower - 8/10 amazing flavors but was also a bit on the mushy side Crunchy Shrimp - 10/10 super unique and had a great balance of flavors and textures Manti - 8/10 tasted almost Italian, but I enjoyed it Branzino - I only tried a bite of the fish, but it was decent! (You have the choice of this fish or the shish kebab) Shish Kebab - 9/10 definitely the best shish kebab I've ever had, and the onions and tomato were also incredible. Taksim Donuts - 10/10 I would come back just for this dessert. So delicious and you must get it. Overall I enjoyed the food and service. Next time I would pass on the tasting menu and just order a couple dishes to share. My biggest gripe is that the portions were pretty small and inconsistent (for example I watched them prepare four plates of the ezme crunch and one of them had nearly twice as much as the others). Our total bill for two people was about $200 after all the taxes/mandates and tip, which is pretty steep. I think ordering a couple dishes (instead of the tasting menu) and skipping on cocktails would be my recommendation here.

Me: "Ohh, that's....he's opening his new resto soon!....NOOOO!!!! Don't go over there...." Friend *walks over to chef while he's on a date*: "Hey, my friend is a BIG fan of yours and wants to know when you're opening your new restaurant." Friend: *POINTS AT ME* *Everyone at the chef's counter turns around and stares at me* Welp, I'm just going to go over there, dig a hole, and crawl into it! Never returned to this space (Cockscomb) again until recently for a friend's birthday. Opening in February 2022, Taksim has been on my list to go to (sister resto to Lokma). Can't believe I slept on Taksim so long because it's one of the best Turkish restos I've been in the bay. The chef is an alum from The French Laundry, Atelier Crenn, and Restaurant Gary Danko. Takeout, delivery, indoor dining, and outdoor parklet dining available. Dog-friendly. M E N U Upscale Turkish Fare with french and modern twists. Compact menu with about 20 items: mezze and entrees. Seven course tasting menu is only $59 pp. Full bar. If you've been to Dalida or Meyhouse and enjoyed it, Taksim will be your jam. 5% SF mandate. And, for *singing* and providing a full dessert from their menu...not some sad "petit four"? The pudding gave panna cotta vibes, jiggly soft with a creamy, mild flavor and nice crunch from the pistachio and kadaif. Not too sweet. Not sure if it's actually made with raki (spirit) since I didn't taste any anise or licorice flavor. FYI, Taksim sources the BEST baklava ever from Baklavastory on Harrison! If you're looking for a nice resto for date night or a celebratory meal with delicious Turkish food and a full bar that won't do too much damage on Mr. Amex, hit up Taksim!

Located in the legendary Mission District of San Francisco, this wine bar is a great spot to catch up with friends and enjoy small bites and yummy crafted cocktails. Their decor is very chic and I especially loved all of the hardware, glasses, tables, and benches. This place was styled by a great design artist. Even though the place was pretty packed and can be kind of noisy, I still felt very calm amongst all the healthy plants and loved the sophisticated 70s inspired glassware. Another great feature of this place is that you can buy most of the plants because they have some for sale so after a couple of cocktails, I was ready to redecorate my whole house with all the plants. I ordered a yummy Rose blend that was super crisp. Also enjoyed the Truffle Fungi! A delicious Shiitake and oyster mushrooms with parmesan and arugula on toasted bread.
