    4/4/25 FYI. Menu

Quality/Quantity - I have been wanting to stop by and visit for years... But I have never made the time until today. I was early for my 4pm appointment so I said why not stop by as it was on the way. We get your coupons to Nevada Steak which is also on my list to try. I see you still have that early bird, sunset 3 course special for $29. Many other specials; see pictures or their websites. Atmosphere - Small local casino, approximately 15k square feet with approximately 500 slot/gaming machines. Nevada Steak is on my list to visit, both dining and lounge seating. DC Cafe is also here; see my pictures of their menu. Plenty of parking, but we also stopped by on a Monday at 3:30pm... Again, I was on my way to my 4pm appointment. Open 24/7, like most casinos. Service - N/A, self service. Many promotions; see website. Price - N/A, no time to gamble today. And I look forward to visiting your Nevada Steak restaurant. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success at this location since 1999 and with your other 4 casinos.

I eat here at least once a week, often more. If you are looking for a good deal, you can't beat their Sunset Special. It goes until 5:30 and features several entrees to choose from and includes dessert for only $29. I often sit at the bar, where you can get full service, but the service inside the room is lovely. You have a team working together on your table to make for a great experience. I've gone there for multiple special occasions and they always go above and beyond to make my night amazing.

Scramble: an appropriate amount, and we changed the toast to a pancake (not pictured)

This place is a MUST if you are wanting a breakfast out but needing to watch your spending. $1.39 for coffee is a great price considering that most places seem to be charging around $5. Scramble with hashbrowns and toast $6.99. Environment was clean and peaceful, but I did see a stack of baby high chairs so it is kid friendly despite being in a casino. The smoke also wasn't too bad.

Good food, great service and casual ambiance make Tamarack Casino pretty good for breakfast on a weekend. Prices are very reasonable. We were seated by a friendly server and our orders were taken promptly. Although food took awhile to come out, it was tasty and well presented. We ordered a California omelette and an early Thanksgiving turkey meal. Ambiance was friendly and unassuming. Good stop for breakfast in South Reno.

Here's to another great NY eve celebration at Tamarack Casino. NY eve celebration dinner by invitation only. Great folks, great food. So much fun. Didn't stay to gamble but I'm sure everyone is going to have a hopping time. Everyone was dressed in festive NY attire and having fun. The servers are very friendly and make you feel welcomed. Been coming here since their opening in 2001 when South Reno was just up and coming. Nice to have this "right around the corner" option!

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and it's clear they've thought of everything to make it family‑friendly. Beer: We tried the Spa Lager -- an American lager infused with cucumber and lemon -- and it was absolutely delicious. Light, crisp, and super refreshing. They have a full line up and also offer flights. Definitely have to check out others next time I visit. Food: For lunch, we shared the "Go To Pizza" and their Tatanka wings -- both were flavorful and came out hot and fresh, a real step up from typical brewery bites. Extra Perks: One of the coolest things is their outdoor garden area, which seems perfect for larger gatherings. They also have a rooftop space and a dedicated kids' area with kid‑friendly shows -- a huge plus for families. Events: They offer daily events, and we saw they have a fun lineup coming up -- including a singles night, a Mother's Day brunch, and they even serve breakfast. Lots of reasons to come back.

The lighting fixtures were fun and unique. There were tvs everywhere. Of course one was tuned to atmosphere and some bar trivia was playing. We started off dinner with some fried wontons. They were flavorful and cooked well. We ordered the French onion soup and the chef's burger with fries. The soup said on the menu it came with homemade croutons but instead it came with generic saltine crackers. Also it was made with red onion instead of yellow onion which was a ... choice. The burger, however, was perfect. The flavors were good, it was cooked exactly as ordered, medium rare. Our waitress was great. We absolutely loved her. Even though she was the only waitress there she was on her game. She was honest and professional and really had a great personality. Food came out in a timely fashion. The cocktails were delicious. I left my personal car in Reno and we had the rental SUV that will return to Sacramento, and I'll go back to Red Bluff. We decided to have our final field work meal here at Flowing Tide 2, located right on South Meadows Parkway. We all decided on fish and chips and I heard from one local guy, this was the place to go! Parking is easy, but entering into this pub sports bar, this place is DARK! Even after my eyes adjusted, it's pretty dark in here. We sat ourselves and a server was right over. Drink orders were taken and we all had the fish and chips that came with coleslaw as well. The food took a little while to come out, but not too long. Wow, those were some nice looking platters of fish and chips! Each order had 4 pieces of fish and a bunch of chips (fries). The server brought over the malt vinegar even without asking, good service! That fish and fries were super hot, I had to let it cool a little before tasting. The fish was nice and crispy and had good and well cooked fish inside that coating. The fries were normal. No mushy peas like in England ... not that I wanted that! I'll say this is a great place to get fish and chips. The burgers coming out looked good as well. There's gambling at the bar with poker machines if you wanted that. We all liked our food and now I'm finally headed home.

We usually have good service, that is relatively quick. We had a couple experiences where it was slow when they were busy. It seems like at some of those times, someone goes on break and it's hard for others to cover. All of the Flowing Tides are dark and I know that's there thing but that's my critique on the ambiance that I wish it was more light.

Airy and bright atmosphere, lots of windows and outdoor patio seating on those nice days. I tried the grilled cheese with short rib and homemade chips. The ribs were tender and the sauce savory. It was a little light on the cheese for a grilled cheese sandwich. I expected a pull of cheese when biting it but it was more like a splattering of shredded cheese on the short ribs. Flavorful overall and the bread toasty. My coworker had the Twisted Bahn Mi vietnamese sandwich. Now we are both from Northern CA and had plenty of vietnamese sandwiches there but let's do a side by side. Starting with the bread. Twisted version was a softer hogie kind of roll. Where traditional viet sandwiches use a baguette roll with a crispy outer crust and firm inside. The meat. Twisted version had shredded pork, more like pulled pork. It was slathered in a korean style sauce. Traditional viet sandwiches typically use grilled meats without any sauces. The condiments. This is where both Twisted and traditional are similar and different. Shredded carrots, daikon radish, cilantro, mint leaves are similar. What's different is the heavy use of shiracha aioli in the Twisted and traditional using pork liver pâté with mayo. So am I saying the Twisted Bahn Mi is bad? No, just stating it is not the same as traditional Bahn Mi and better to know than to be surprised. Would I order it, no because I an used to traditional. The grilled pork belly and bacon mac and cheese appetizers were great! I would consider those two as my entree! If you are in the area, give Twisted a try.
