I've had multiple appointments here and been treated with kindness and respect. This is a great dentistry in my opinion.

I had the worst toothache and I was lucky enough to find Dr. Tran on yelp when my current dentist couldn't see me. I called in and Gloria was able to schedule me SAME DAY. When I came in, Dr. Tran gave me the run down (with photos) of what was going on with my tooth and why I was in pain. She told me exactly what needed to be done and even scheduled me the same week to do the procedure (while cutting into her lunch hour!) 2 fillings and a crown later, I'm feeling much better. Dr. Tran is highly knowledgable and her bedside manner is A+. She is also the first dentist I've visited whose gentle with local anesthesia. For me, the shot is the worst part of visiting the dentist but I don't even feel it when she administers it. Just for that reason, I think I found my go-to dentist. The facility is clean and modern and the front desk/dental assistants are very kind and helpful. I always look forward to coming back.. and that says a lot because I hate the dentist! read more

I'm so happy I decided to give Tammy Trans office a chance. I never really enjoyed going to the dentist but Tammy and her friendly staff changed all that. 1st of all, their office is super clean and their staff is the friendliest and very helpful. I went in for a cracked crown and teeth sensitivity and Tammy Tran was very gentle and didn't feel any discomfort at all. My family and I are very happy we made the switch from a nearby dental office to Dr Tammy Tran's office. They have amazing and friendly customer service from the time you walk in til you walk back out. Dr Tran and her team explain everything at the very start so there are no surprises from cost to type of work being done. I have been thinking about writing this review for Dr. Tran and her staff for a while. Dr. Tran and her staff have been exceptional to me over the last year and a half, getting my teeth into shape. I suffer from a ton of anxiety when it comes to being at the dentist and I can assure you that Dr. Tran and her assistants (Vanessa & Genesis) were absolutely amazing at providing education, comfort, support and reassurance through the process. While Dr. Tran and her assistants were super supportive and reassuring, Gloria (office manager) was really good at getting me in the door, time and time again. I finally found a dental office I can honestly say I like!! Exceptional service , clean office, TVs at every station (Always something funny on which is probably not the best thing but I like it!) which keeps you entertained and distracted. I totally recommend anyone to check it out. My son and I have been going here for a little over a year and we are always seen at our appointment times. The most we've ever waited is 10-15 mins after arriving to see the doctor. The doctor is really gentle which is great because your mouth doesn't feel severely sore afterwards and she is very thorough. Should you have any issues the doctor and staff are both very informative and provide several options. I have had some bad experience with dentists in the past, but I finally found my dentist! I have been going to Dr. Tran for 1 year now and have had multiple procedures done. She is simply wonderful! She goes above and beyond for her patients and her staff is super friendly and accommodating. This weekend, one of my teeth started to hurt. Dr. Tran and her staff has been so accommodating since I started treatment this February. I have had some pretty bad experiences with Dentist offices in the past and I feel as though I have finally found a home! First off the staff is extremely helpful. They communicated very efficiently and always worked around my schedule through text (which is what I prefer). Gloria was able to walk me through the process of my treatment and was very patient and understanding with all the questions I had. Dr. Tran is wonderful. She takes the time to explain exactly what she is doing before she proceeds with treatment and made sure I was comfortable at all times. Her assistant even let me watch my fav show on Netflix as I was getting work done. What really stands out to me is their dedication to their patients. This past Friday my temporary crown had unexpectedly cracked and Dr. Tran was able make arrangements to come in just for me on a Saturday! With the Pandemic going on and everything being closed, I didn't expect to be able to be seen and was really worried about my temp tooth completely falling off and setting me back for my treatment so I am EXTREMELY thankful they made an exception during this crisis. I really wanted to love this place. I think Dr. Nguyen is so great. I am sad I won't be coming back because he was wonderful and if he opens an office I would go to him. So why the one star? I don't think it is okay to ask for more than the agreed upon amount. Mind you I wasn't paying a chump change amount to begin with despite repeatedly being told I was being g given a discounted rate. My total with insurance covering 50% was still well over one thousand dollars. Fine. I don't love it, but I was willing to pay it. I walked in and was asked for more than what I had signed off on. The assistant manager Genesis let me know that this was a mistake on Gloria's (office manager) part. She also said she couldn't do anything about the additional $40 and the business wouldn't absorb it because I was getting a discounted rate. Plus she made a call and was told by Gloria to charge me the higher amount. I paid over $500 for one crown and my insurance paid the same amount. That isn't a discount my friends. Gloria and Genesis made it clear to me that I could either submit or buzz off. It became clear to me that they felt very empowered by the little bit of power that they have and that money is the only thing that mattered. I should have gone to the other dentist office but they were further than i wanted to drive. If you are looking for an experience where you will be treated well by both the dentist and the office staff then I highly recommend going to Flossy dental, My Family Dentist, or Long Beach, Family Dental. During my maternity leave I finally decided after 15 years to finally go and have my dental check up, insurance wasn't the problem it was being afraid of the pain but I must say I went to dr Tammy Tran had my consultation found out I had 10 cavities and two root canals that's needed work plus a deep cleaning, Gloria discussed my options with me as far as payment plan, and my insurance they were great with working around my busy schedule and offering me the option of care credit which really helped pay for all the additional work needed , I want to thank dr Tran for everything and not hurting me lol I now have a healthy affordable smile abs have check ups scheduled for next year to maintain my healthy smile. I was referred to Dr. Tran by an oral surgeon. I had lost a front tooth and thought I needed an implant. I entered Dr. Tran's office hesitant as I was unsure if this is the route I wanted to take. Rickety Crickety dental dummy crummy work and unsafe practice! I spit sharp chunks of enamel and glue for two days. Don't let these con artists glue your mouth with dangerous chemicals or heaven forbid you swallow a sharp enamel chunk that can cut up your insides. Thank you for adding this fear element in my life. They treated me like I was stupid. Who says they are so smart! My temporary tooth came out after 2 days and those things should last at least 2 weeks with no issues. There is absolutely no excuse for this, and I regret letting her talk me into mutilating a perfectly fine tooth. That is one dental standard that was not met, and it was important to me not to them that my dental work is reliable. I work hard and need my teeth to stay hard, and not some one year warranty on work that will not last. These soft women did not appear to know what they were doing and were not on the ball at all. I spit out sharp enamel bits. Called the office and the dental lady on the phone said to go to the hardware store and glue my temporary in myself. The right answer should have been come in now! Especially since they took my money up front probably because I was black. Another thing I did not appreciate was that they overcharged me $367 for my first tooth and different prices for my second and third. They billed the full amount $927 up front and did not do all the work. That is shady! I came to this dentist thinking it was five star, but they treated me like one star probably because of my skin color. They offer Netflix but could not get it to work right. Just like my dental work. They took multiple xrays, have a faulty X-ray arm, so the technician had to stay in to hold the X-ray machine and the other tech turned it on a clear safety violation! Made me feel uncomfortable and sad for the technician that might want to have children some day! My permanent crown is a shade off. What glitters is not gold. They do not deserve 22 five stars. There is something seriously wrong here. Lack of safety procedures,bad equipment, lack of professionalism. The other dentist left his keyboard in my room and had to remove it. Also this all woman cast of characters have no control and seem to think they can do whatever they want to people and all the account manager seems to be good for is stealing your money and over billing you and your insurance company for sub par dental work! read more

Dr. Tran and her entire team improved my dental health soooo much. My mother has gotten a crown elsewhere and has scheduled four appointments to try to fix it because she is not comfortable with it. Honestly be VERY wary of this dentist. I think they make money off of people who don't understand what a reasonable price is for dentistry or have basic dental knowledge. I moved to LB and wanted to try this dentist because it had good reviews but the experience left me unsettled. The dentist told me I had TEN cavities after barely lookin in my mouth and doing a half-assed cleaning that took MAYBE ten minutes..then they shuffled me to a little crammed office to "discuss the plan" where the secretary basically pressured me into making my appointment for the filings as soon as possible and asked for half the money up front. I've never heard of a dentist making you pay for work before they do anything but this scream "scam". The other one star review can speak to this. The price was also twice what my past dentists have charged for fillings. The dentist talked to me like a child and said I'm "eating too much chocolate" and barely listened to my complaints. Oh and to top it all off the dentist tried to pressure me into Invisalign...as if I was going to make a decision to buy 3500$ braces right there? I went to my tried and true dentist in my hometown in OC and he took new Xrays and found only 4 cavities, 2 of which he said were small enough to just watch for now. Since this dentist isn't trying to steal all my insurance money, I'm barely paying anything out of pocket. read more
