They use really good beans (one of them was Mother Tongue outta Oakland which I'm a huge fan of). Great place to chill. They got board games and merch to checkout. Saw lots of people on their laptops here, but not sure if you can really do any work/schoolwork here. Far too distracting, trust me I been there, and I'm sure you have too. 5 stars. If I could give 6 I would. First, the drinks and food are great and priced really well. I would say the same thing I can get here somewhere else would probably cost 1-3$ more. Plus the variety is great. The croffle is hella good and my drink wasn't too sweet. I got the raspberry matcha latte with honey foam on top. 10/10. 2nd the vibe is really nice. There's plenty of seating, free water cups, and lots of art on the wall for purchase. There's some artists I recognized from going to art events in the bay, and some I didn't. It was fun to look at stickers and also the themed gallery art. (Right now is amphibians). 3rd the small details really matter. This is the FIRST place I've been to with bag hooks at the tables! Do you know how much I've longed for bag hooks!?!? Your bag is not gonna get dirty here. Overall: price is fair, quality is great, and vibes are good. This was a cute, casual coffee spot where the lattes are made well! I'm super picky about my lattes and I thoroughly enjoyed the one I had here. For reference, I just love a good ol' classic latte with whole milk; I don't need any sweetness or flavors. I also dislike it when the roasts aren't made for espressos- it just tastes a smidge off. Aaand (I know, I know - told ya I'm picky) I really dislike Starbucks lattes where they always burn their milk. But I digress! Add to the good lattes a buttery pastry and I'm a goner. Croissants and croffles are my downfall. I went in around 8:30AM to do some work and it wasn't too busy, but I do notice that it does tend to get busy later in the day. Even when busy though, the service is always friendly and fast. They have ample seating with tables along the wall with outlets, and do have a bunch of board games if you're looking for a good place to hang out with friends. The atmosphere is really cute! As for the drinks I always get the banana matcha, hands down my favorite thing to get here. All of their syrups are house made, and it doesn't have an artificial flavor to it, 10/10 recommend this place for matcha! I've been into a lot of different cafe place lately especially once that serves matcha. I found this cozy cafe in fremont surrounded by a bunch of other restaurants. We went the perfect time since it wasn't as busy yet. They have plenty of tables in this cafe which I did perfect for when you wanna do work on your laptop. I introduced my boyfriend to croffles for the first time and he fell in love with it. He ordered the churro croffle and I ordered the matcha croffle. I definitely enjoyed the churro croffle. Very tasty and perfectly sweet. I ordered the matcha croffle. I liked it but I think the spread itself was a little too much. I probably would ask for the matcha spread on the side cause it got too much for me and it made the croffle soggy. But it was good and would order that again. This place is kind of inconspicuous. It's around so many other Asian food spots , it's not super noticeable by driving by. The coffee was okay, the first time i went the flavor wasn't the best. The second time was a lot better. The food was good however. As for seating, it's hella limited. There's a bunch of people that occupy tables to work so it's pretty slim seating. Going on both a weekday and a weekend, it was full. I wouldn't suggest coming with a lot of people. Even just 2 of us we had to rush to the last seats available. This is a really nice spot to hang out, work, or just chill for a while. We tried the croffle and I had a banana matcha latte. The croffle was good. The custard on it was delicious and the fruit added a nice tart balance. The only downside was that the croffle itself was a little soggy, but the toppings definitely helped make up for it. My banana matcha latte was good, though I wished the banana flavor came through a bit more. Prices felt pretty reasonable for what you get. I also really liked the vibe of the space. Got an earl gray matcha less sweet and I'd say it tasted like 90% syrup and 10% matcha. Very sweet so I couldn't finish, and was disappointed by the minimal matcha flavor. My friend told me about this place a while back I just haven't had a chance to come by. Glad I finally did. I love it here. As someone who is very much into adorable little trinkets and stickers among other things, this is the place for me. I love looking around and seeing what they have, buying a couple of cute things, and sitting down to feast. I have tried a couple of items like the breakfast items and coffees and all have been amazing. I love the different latte flavors the pastries and I have also tried some of the savory items. Another thing I love here is the buy nothing events they host. I hate to have to throw away perfectly fine clothes and accessories so I am happy they are doing this for the community. There's plenty of seating inside and a couple of tables outside. They have a wall that sells craft goodies from small vendors and artists that I think is really cute. Tamper Room Cafe is such a cool spot, not just for a daytime cafe outing, but for their events in the afternoon and evening! This is a coffee shop along Cushing Parkway in Pacific Commons. Parking is plentiful, even when it's busy, and as it's a fairly spacious cafe, there's a lot of tables available to sit at in the shop. On the left side wall, there's a variety of goodies such a free zine library and merchandise by local artists, perfect to peruse while you're waiting for your order. The menu has a good variety of coffee and non-coffee options, as well as various treats like savory or sweet croffles. The baristas are all very friendly as well! I got a cappuccino with oat milk, which came out promptly in around ten minutes. I thought my drink was well-balanced with a nice bitterness and creaminess. I've also tried their ube matcha latte in the past, which is rather tasty and is on the creamier side! For drinks we ordered the hazelnut mocha - coworker said it was ok. Banana matcha - other coworker said it wasn't great. Couldn't taste the banana, and I ended up ordering the iced banana mocha. I wouldn't order it again. It didn't taste like banana or mocha.. I honestly couldn't figure out what it tasted like. The staff was friendly and the art work displayed were cool to see. My second time here and it did not disappoint. I ordered the Apple Spice Chai with oatmilk and it was out of this world delicious, very flavorful. Now the Maple Bacon Croffle was so magnificent I don't know how to describe it. Loved the texture of the croffle and bacon, both had tremendous flavor, individually and together. There was a sweetness to it that it didn't need the syrup, but I tried it anyway and it was good. What I do know is I need the Maple Bacon Croffle in my life on a regular basis. The cafe is nice, good service, and I love the vibe. I appreciate the diversity in their music, and 100% love the gallery. There are some outlets against the walls if you plan on staying for an extended period. I ordered myself a lavender matcha latte and a chedder bacon croffle. I heavily enjoyed the floral taste of the latte though I didn't get much of the matcha taste in my drink. No complaints on the croffle. My wife and I like going out for chicken and waffles or croffles during the weekends. This place showed up and looks to be trendy, when we arrived at the location around 10:00 AM, it looked like there was a line that stretched outside to be two store lengths long. Parking was pretty packed and it was also located near other colorful cafes that you could check out if the line was too long for you. Once we got in, the place looked like you can have some time to yourself while working on your laptop or sipping coffee with a friend, it seemed sort of loud in here since everything echoed. We ordered two Ube latte's, two croffles, one was with bacon and maple syrup on it and the other had a scoop of egg salad with sprouts onto. We really enjoyed our brunch meals, would love to try the other croffles and beverages. This review is long overdue! I stopped by last summer while waiting for my car to be serviced at a dealership a few blocks away and was just looking for a place to kill time. I wasn't sure what to order, but the Ube Croffle on the menu immediately caught my eye--it sounded too good to pass up. I'm so glad I ordered it! It was hands down the best croffle I've ever had: perfectly crisp on the outside, soft and chewy inside, with just the right amount of ube custard, coconut flakes, berries and condensed milk. Months later, I still find myself craving it, which is exactly why I had to come back and finally post this review. Generally speaking, I tend to shy away from white mochas because it's a bit too sweet for me. However, my sister recommended the mac white mocha and I decided to give it a go. This place is CUUUUUUTE! My girl friends and I wanted a spot to get together after months of not catching up and I think we spent almost 2+ hours sipping matchas and chatting it up and it was the best place to do it. Clearly folks come here to hangout, enjoy good drinks, whip out a laptop and work. The ambiance is perfect for it, soft background music and all the cutest little tchotchkes for sale like stickers, crochet keychains, hats, etc. I even purchased a cute fidget for my 6 year old while my friend bought her kids some Filipino themed stickers. The staff is kind and friendly and the drinks were delicious and came out fast. My super pregnant friend accidentally ran into the little fridge pastry display and accidentally moved it and the staff was so understanding as we try to fix it and laugh it off. I had a hojicha latte (my first time having hojicha!) and it was warm and delicious and my friend ordered an ube matcha which she loved. The other two girls didn't order anything but that was fine and we stayed for a long time. I would definitely come back for drinks and I definitely want to try a croffle next time. Wanted a switch of pace for finals review and final projects. Decided to hangout at Tamper Room. Vibe is always chill, has a great selection of art pieces and different artist who sell stickers and other small cute products. Free internet and water. Bathroom is always clean. In a span of three visits I tried random menu items, make sure to try the different drinks, have different milk options. Banana Mocha was not my favorite or the Pistachio Nougat. For the Croffle I could not decide, so far all the ones I ordered have been delicious. The staff is friendly and if you are not sure what to order you can ask them for recommendations. One of the interesting things that Tamper Room does is host different events. Make sure to follow their IG for different events.
