    Sizzling red snapper with shrimp
    Nick S.

Our family had been telling us about this place for a very long time, and how amazing it was, and we were so excited that it was opened when we were in town! The picture does not do it justice with how amazing this place was we got the red snapper and had shrimp as well and they do a really good job of giving you the correct amount of food for the amount of people that are at the table and they did a wonderful job! We got a side of the fried rice, and it was the perfect addition to the fish and shrimp. The onions that were underneath the fish were probably the best onions that I have ever had in my entire life and when added to the fried rice it was just delicious. The shrimp was also super flavored and just amazing. Highly recommend this place. If you're a fan of seafood, the fish was fresh and the shrimp were delicious overall 10 out of 10 highly recommended.!

Came here on a Sunday at around noon and found the place nearly empty. To start off we ordered the vuelve a la vida which was a combination of ceviche, oysters, shrimp and octopus with cocktail sauce. It was sooooo good we ended up getting 2. We also ordered a dozen oysters and we were pretty disappointed by them. They did not taste fresh at all. My friend got grilled fish diabla style with rice and he rated it an 8/10. "Perfect amount of spice" he said. We each had some margaritas and we loved them! The place has a really old time Hispanic homey feel to it which made us feel right at home. They played nothing but old salsa and merengue songs while we were there which we loved! I will most likely come back and try other things, but I won't be getting the oysters again.

Food is juicy and tender, best service, place is a gated building with a police guard. Feels safe and cozy.

Came here for a late lunch/early dinner. Hole in the wall but the food was delicious! It was a busy Sunday afternoon. We had a 15min wait for 2 people (were told up to 25min). Service was a little slow. Covid protocols: They do limit amount of guests dining and enforce social distancing. Staff wears masks. We ordered the mixed ceviche which was delicious! Wish the portion was a little bigger but good app for 2. We asked for chips but didn't get it. The best item we enjoyed on the menu was the grilled red snapper with shrimp! It IS a wait! Totally worth it! Flavor profile was on point! Would def come back for this dish! Overall the food was delicious which gave it a 4. Again service was slow (which I feel like was just an off day) and didn't feel super clean. The bartender wears his masks below his nose which doesn't make sense. Would def come back! Perf mom/pop whole in wall:)

food is still great, I enjoy the service and the atmosphere. Prices are a little higher than I would expect but i guess that's the norm now.

Something simple that should be an easy win. Unfortunately, everything leaned the same direction: either it was heavy, over-sauced, or overly garlicky. It tasted more like dressed-up frozen food than something thoughtfully prepared. And listen...I don't mind indulgent. But there still has to be balance and fresh food. Fresh like it was raw and delivered today, not fresh like fried in the last 15 mins. When everything is coated, covered, and competing, nothing actually stands out. The drinks didn't help either. They leaned hard on alcohol without much flavor behind them--more "this will get you there" than "this tastes good." Nothing was terrible. But nothing made me want another bite, either. And with seafood, that's kind of the whole point. The atmosphere is friendly, great music, and the service was very attentive. Even the presentation wasn't bad. It just wasn't enough. But at some point, you stop asking what's missing and just accept that it's not landing. I was still hungry so I went next door hoping for a better experience. I want to be clear: It's not bad. It's just not working.

I decided to step outside my comfort zone and try the Oysters Rockefeller... and let's just say they weren't my speed. They weren't bad, just not for me. So naturally I sent them back and ordered my tried-and-true favorite... Chargrilled Oysters with extra garlic butter, Parmesan, and bacon. Now THAT'S what I came for! Rich, buttery, cheesy, smoky, and absolutely loaded with flavor. Every bite reminded me why these are my go-to. And because brunch rules apply... it was only right to enjoy a pineapple mimosa (or two ). Light, refreshing, and the perfect pairing for all that seafood. If you're visiting Goode Co. Seafood, my advice is simple: Don't skip the Smoked Redfish Dip. Order the Chargrilled Oysters. Add extra garlic butter. Lunchtime was crowded, so there was a line out the door. Unfortunately, the hostess didn't exude a lot of hospitality when a few people stepped in to get out of the heat. Although it wasn't directed toward us, it was weird to hear the hostess tell some guest to backup and get away from the her area. The waiting are inside is small, but a little understanding in that situation would have been more inviting. Anyway, once we got seated, everything improved. The presentation for some of the entree's seemed to be lacking, but the taste of the entree made up for the basic plating. The custom lemonade was fantastic. We will definitely try them again for dinner.

We went around 6 p.m. on a weekday, and they had a steady flow of business. It's a small restaurant with a small parking lot, but they do have an additional lot across the street. We were greeted right away and seated immediately. Our waiter was also tending the bar. He was incredibly friendly and working hard, but because he seemed to be juggling so much on his own, service was on the slower side. For the appetizer, we ordered the Crispy Fried Oysters & Brussels, and I got the redfish for my entrée. The Brussels sprouts were flash-fried perfectly, and I loved the sweetness of the chili honey glaze. The oysters had a nice crispy coating, but I found them to be a little bland. The redfish, though, was absolutely the star of the meal. I cleaned my plate. It was served with Hoppin' John and a lemon butter sauce. I had never heard of Hoppin' John before, but it's essentially a Southern rice-and-bean dish, and paired with that lemon butter, it was so flavorful. It complemented the fish perfectly.
