Tan LA is, by far, the best tanning salon in the area. First off, let me start by saying that the place is super clean and that's a "must" in my book! The staff is absolutely fantastic! They are extremely professional and personable...and my favorite part is that they actually remember your face and your name when you go in to get your service. It's the small stuff like that, that makes you feel appreciated as a customer, and one of the reasons that I have been going to Tan La for years! Love this place! I use Shannon for my spray tans and she does an amazing job! I never look orange, always so natural. I always get compliments everywhere I go afterwards. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing and the establishment is very clean and well kept. The owner (I forget his name) is super nice, friendly, and professional. I've been to tanning salons all over So-Cal for many years and I can honestly say that Tan LA Thousand Oaks is the best one hands down. I used to go to Agoura Hills until one day they randomly closed early and I decided to go to TO. Gary, the owner, took care of me since day 1. I always do their mystic tan spray booth and not only is it extremely clean, Gary is extremely knowledgable and knows what customer service means. Their mystic booth has a heat cycle in it and built in dryer which I've never seen anywhere else plus they give you the sticky feet for free so the tan doesn't get on your feet. I haven't tried the other beds but I will for sure. I live in Woodland Hills and make the trip to TO because I love this salon so much! read more

The KBL bed is amazing! The salon is super clean and the staff is really friendly! There are other salons in the area but this one is the highest quality by far that I've noticed. I even saw the guy cleaning beds clean mine twice to make sure it was extra clean! I'm not normally a germophobe but the fact that they take the extra time really meant a lot to me. Also if you keep your lotion at the salon the staff learns you faster! I don't even give my account number anymore they know me so well! There are dozens of tan places by my house but I drive 20-30 minutes just to go to Tan L.A in Thousand Oaks. Gary at the front is amazing and always provides exceptional customer service. Shannon who does the spray tans there is THE BEST. I have olive skin and I've been to places before where I turn out orange or not dark enough, Shannon knows what she's doing, is meticulous and always gives me a perfect tanned glow. This place is absoluely amazing!!! The owner (Gary, I believe) is really nice and has really good tanning tips. Always really clean, never once have I had problems with a dirty bed or anything, always looks spotless. Prices are high but I guess thats going to be expected with tanning salons, i will say they do have good deals if your are an avid tanner like me and like to use high intensity beds. Definitely worth a Five Star review! Gary (one of the owners) responded to my question from their website almost immediately. Now THAT, is customer service. Upon arrival I did a quick visual inspection, clean, organized and stocked with product. Friendly friendly staff and Gary was there and welcomed me in. His descriptive advice on the Mystic and production selection was point on. Great pricing packages as well. And I'm super happy I took his advice as I do not see any funky spots showing on my hands/palms afterwards. I'LL BE BACK! Being a fair skinned girl, I don't gain color very easily so I first went into Tan LA for a Mystic. I am new to the area and choose them strictly off the raves on Yelp. Gary was absolutely incredible! They have a newer booth that sprays 4 angles so you tan more evenly and even has a heating feature. We chose a color that wouldn't make me look like Snooki and I was very pleased with the results. Gary was very kind to also match prices from my old salon and gave me a great packaged deal that unfortunately I've used all up. I also ran a tanning salon right near this one for many years. Second is the beds are amazing they have so many different levels so many different price points you really can't go wrong. The group that run this place are all amazing. If I owned a salon this is exactly who I would want to work with. This group knows what they are doing. This is the only salon I have ever been to that is always spotless. There's always someone at the front to greet you explain in detail what each bed does and how it would work for you. That's big in the tanning industry most people don't do that anymore they just throw you in the most expensive that they have and sell sell sell you. You cannot go wrong with trying Tan LA.
