Just as fabulous as ever, but I wanted to offer some advice to those looking to get the mystic tan. The tan really turns out MUCH deeper if you exfoliate about 2 hours or so before hand. I usually don't and shame on me as it is on their website recommendations. But do it, it works! read more

This place is the only place I'll tan. I found this place online and after seeing it's great reviews here on YELP I thought I'd give it a try. The owner is extremely friendly and is great at helping you discover what tanning levels are best for your skin type. The salon and beds are incredibly clean (I've only used the beds) and the staff are very friendly and professional. They provide towels, eye protection and even deodorant! I am not a consistent customer and only tan when there is an upcoming event (graduation, wedding...) but this really is the only place I'll even consider tanning at. read more

Have been coming here for 10+ years, and I started the full body red light therapy just over 2 years ago. I love the red light! For 20 minutes I get a quick nap and at the same time, rebuilding my collagen. I have noticed a big difference in my skin since starting the red light therapy! I have had several custom spray tans at other locations, but I recently had the opportunity to try the new VersaSpray booth at Tan LA in Thousand Oaks this weekend and can't believe the results! I had never tanned in a "machine" before, but was amazed at the color! The "real ness" of the color was incredible! Best service ever at a tanning salon! They were super helpful here. I came in just needing to even out some tan lines for my wedding and a really nice guy, I didn't catch his name, helped me out. When I was done and went to pay he he offered me two tans at a discounted rate because he was more concerned about helping me achieve the tan I wanted. I also booked my mom for a spray tan and he gave me special lotion for her to use before the tan to help it stick better. This place is clean and get an A+ for service. I will be back! read more

I've been coming here for years for the Mystic Tanning Booth and am always very happy. They recently upgraded the room with a built-in cabinet wall with new adhesive flip flops so the bottom of my feet don't get stained. Would highly recommend for the cleanliness and friendly efficient staff! read more

This is my second time coming here. I go and get the Mystic Tan and I love it!! Way better than doing it yourself. It comes with a heated dryer to instantly dry the spray. The tan develops in 6-8 hours and it looks amazing afterwards. I get so many compliments on my tan. And I will be coming in again soon! read more

I can't say enough about the best tanning spa I've ever been a member of. From the amazing staff in both Thousand Oaks and Camarillo, to the great tanning beds and equipment and spray tan and a variety of other treatments Tana LA is the best. And they are very fastidious about keeping everything very clean and tidy and the beds very maintained. And always getting new and the latest upgraded equipment. It's such a pleasure to walk in and greet John every time and have him actually care about how things are going with me and how's life. I feel I have a friend. Same thing with Haleigh in Camarillo. I've been to lots of tanning salons over the years and I've gotten my best results at Tan LA. It's a pleasure going there rather than feeling like a chore to get something accomplished. After a very bad experience 15 years ago at another tanning salon and vowing I would never set foot in one again, I decided to give it another try and found this gem a few years back and I've never turned back. Besides the obvious tanning services, they offer body contouring and red light therapy among other services. I have been on the red light therapy for the face which has stimulated the production of collagen in the skin. In addition, I have been doing the Body Contour treatments and in 6 weeks I've lost 23 pounds and 4.5 inches. It's painless (a much better alternative to lipo- suction) and is very affordable. When tanning, if you're fair skinned like me, try the Magic tanning bed, it's amazing. If you're looking for the tropical paradise of tanning beds, you MUST try the KBL! Between the ambient lighting and the soothing music...all it's missing is the Mai Tai! It even has a mister built in. I've also had the custom spray tan with Shannon who is fantastic. No orange peel look for this girl...it was completely natural looking. Gary and John are awesome and always make you feel welcome. No stuffy attitudes here! read more

The guys that own it are both so awesome and are always here so I know I'll never have any issues and I'll always be greeted when I walk through the door :) the second best thing about this place is their beds are amazing!! Terrific results with the Contour Light Fat Loss Therapy. I have been doing the therapy for about a month now and it works, I'm skinnier!!!! My bf says my bum is smaller, my jeans are loose, and my daughter noticed I have less cellulite on the back of my legs. I'm very excited this worked. It's a much better option than liposuction which I was considering. I was in shape and skinny before treatment so this Contour Light took off that hard to lose last 5 pounds. read more

First are foremost . . . This place is clean from top to bottom. It is professionally run, the guys are super friendly and easy to talk to, and the beds are the highest quality in the area. You wont find the intensity of the bulbs elsewhere. I've never experienced a wait time for a bed, as they have plenty to choose from. Parking is akward at times. But i learned there is plenty in the back. They have a GREAT variety of lotions at great prices. And my favorite part . . . DRUMROLL PLEASE . . . they have a MAGIC bed!! Its the best thing ever and produces immediate, rich color. Its hands down one of my favorite beds. I moved out of TO and tried many other tanning salons near my house. Needless to say the service and tanning beds are not as good as Tan LA. Now I make the drive to go tan here and it is definitely worth it. And even though I haven't been there in a while, I still had tans available there b/c they never expire like at other places!
