Honestly one of the better Korean AYCE experiences in the entirety of California. I've had my fair share of Korean AYCE in LA/OC, and this place definitely holds a candle to my experiences down there. The meat quality was really high, it may as well be a la carte quality. The customer service was so good, staff were so kind, fast, and serviceable. The quality of the side dishes and rice was insane. Their rice was on point especially. I have a love/hate relationship with Sacramento: I love to hate it (lmao jk or am I). That being said, they definitely have gotten some great eats and more affordable cost of living compared to the Bay Area. Also, I make it my life long goal of trying my best not to be outpriced out of my home area and attempt to avoid a futile reality that maybe I gotta buy a home in Sacramento if I want to actually ever own a home and be close to the Bay. My go-to spot for Korean BBQ. No other Korean BBQ spot in Sac has topped this place for me, it's a favorite for every occasion. I always get good service here and the meats are good as well. I always do the AYCE dinner option because I can't have Korean BBQ without the LA Galbi!! The restaurant in itself has a very dark ambience, and depending on who's controlling the TV, you can either be watching a sports game or K-pop music videos. I've only ever had one bad experience here where my waiter always forgot something that we asked for or we were rarely checked on to order more things or having our grill changed, but to be fair I feel like it was a busy weekday and they looked understaffed. Don't hold out on what they offer for soups and appetizers! The fries and chicken wings are so bomb, and the spicy seafood tofu soup is delicious. The options are a little limited in the normal tier compared to other KBBQ establishments, and the quality of the meats was just alright. The first round was promising, but after that, it felt like we couldn't really tell what the different cuts were. I am amazed by how this restaurant was able to introduce the robotic technology into our community. It's definitely a great place to have family or friends over to enjoy Asian foods. It rolls up with your order, beeps politely, and then disappears with the dignity of a Michelin-star waiter who's late for another appointment. Meanwhile, outside, the most dedicated security guard you'll ever meet is hustling. He's pacing the lot, scanning for trouble that never comes, then suddenly switching gears to wipe down outside furniture like an uncle prepping for Sunday BBQ. So yes, Blue House is tasty, clean, fun, and offers more entertainment value than you'd expect for a meal. Hence the "hiring" sign posted on the restroom doors. The help would have been greatly appreciated during our last minute dinning in experience. We were seated right away, BUT the service there after was a bit of a waiting period. I did have to ask for our party of 3 to be seated in a different booth, due to the first spot being dirty. They swapped out our grill without issue (another Korean bbq spot made it seem like it was the end of the world when asked to swap grills) and was quick with bringing out our dishes. Even on a Friday night, I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes to get seated, and the service is always quick and friendly! This used to be my friends' go-to kbbq place when we were in college, so I decided to take my other group of friends here for lunch after our snow trip. It was cool that they have the carts that come to our table and deliver the plates of meat, but I think our waiter wasn't super attentive and wouldn't come to our tables very frequently to take our orders for the next round, so one of our tables with a group of guys were very hangry the entire time... I booked the private karaoke room at Blue House Korean BBQ in Sacramento for my mom's 75th birthday. Every interaction I had from the text messages to the booking process to the final payment, everything was so pleasant. I highly recommend booking with Phu and his team. The room we booked was completely private and could hold about 40-50 people. There was a big screen for karaoke, which everyone enjoyed. There was no additional charge for the space as long as I had at least 20 AYCE (all you can eat) guests. We selected Option A which was the basic one and still gives you a lot of different meats. My only issue was that they don't offer potato salad, which is one of my favorites. All of the servers who helped us were great but Erika stood out for her follow ups throughout the event always checking to make sure the group had their orders in. After the event, I realized we overpaid for 2 guests who didn't show up and Erika was kind and offered the refund. Phu who is one of the managers even created a HBD slide for my mom and it made a big difference in the ambiance. Food was great and bathrooms were also clean. Thanks to the team! Exactly what you'd need from a KBBQ! Yummy high quality meat. Option A is the cheapest option, which comes with the least amount of different types of meat you can get but it's still a GREAT option. The house steak is yummy! It was my favorite cut. The server was very sweet and attentive, always asking how we were doing at appropriate times to make us feel tended to but not rushed. It was my birthday dinner so we got to spin a wheel for a deal for our next meal. I got a free KBBQ lunch for next time :) The ambiance is really relaxed. No need to dress up at all. My party of 4 and I decided to come here for my birthday! We arrived around 12:40pm on a Sunday and there was no wait at all and were seated immediately! Definitely recommend checking on yelp for wait times so you can waitlist ahead of time! We all liked the amount of options we had to choose from on the appetizers and AYCE menu! I would say the corn cheese was a bit tooooo sweet for my taste! I loved all the meat choices, I think my favorite out of all the ones we tried were the Bone-in Beef Galbi and the Beef Brisket! My one complaint is that it took foreverrrrrr for them to take our order for the next round. We waited around 15-20 minutes for them to take our next round and the food to get brought to our table which was kind of annoying because it was also difficult to flag down someone even with a lot of people working. Blue House is my jam! I've been to numerous Korean, barbecue restaurants, and Blue house by far is my favorite. Reservations and waiting time are definitely not easy, but the quality of food has always been spot on! It's fresh and fabulous, and always full of flavor. If you've never been to a Korean barbecue house before, it's a great way to bond with family and friends over cooking your own meal. Once seated, there are a few different options to choose from for, and all you can eat experience. Everyone needs to choose the same level From the menu. Once selected, but the food experience begin. The grill on the table will be lit by staff, and your selections will be brought out. The interesting part is that the table is given a two hour. In which to dine and enjoy their food. It seems like a lot of time, but it's really not. It goes by pretty quickly . Once you cook, what's been brought to the table and enjoyed it, the staff will happily bring out more of whatever items you would like. As you continue to cook through your evening, there is not a limit to what will be brought out. Keep in mind, that everything must be eaten at the table and there are no to go boxes or options. The banchan ( which means small side dishes) at this location is truly the tastiest! Lovely small bowls filled with seasoned bean sprouts, pickled radish, kimchi, spicy cucumber salad, and so much more. These are meant as condiments, and a nice addition to the meal. Truth be told, I could make an entire meal out of these offerings because they are that tasty. Diner tip: if you've never done this before, I would highly recommend selecting the proteins that are well seasoned. It makes for a better dining experience and taste profile. Also, if you are not an at home, cook, make sure that you have someone with you that is. it's very easy cooker overcook the prepared proteins. Once seated, the wait staff is super helpful and friendly.
