This place is a definite 5 star. I've had a lot of "sloppy Indian food" in my time - great for quick buffet lunches and normally you get a variety of standard dishes. This is NOT that place. Have been a few times so review is consistent - VERY attentive service, comfortable and authentic feel to the place. The Food - I have to say, I'm blown away - Even the standard dishes are really unique. Tikka Masala is rich and creamy - spice levels are well done but perhaps on the mild side - consider ordering a little more adventurously than you would normally consider The Korma - a curry with a rich umame/gravy taste was the kind of thing you will come back for over and over. I tried the lunch buffet. There were only a few dishes, though. The tandoori chicken was pretty good. There was chicken tikka masala and palak (creamed spinach). That's all that was there except for some other food that had nothing to do with Indian or Himalayan food, and was not appetizing. So, really just two chicken dishes and a couple veggie sides and nothing else particularly interesting. I will say that they have a very solid chili sauce to make things spicier. Service was okay, demeanor was good but I didn't see anyone drop by very often. I will say the interior was quite welcoming. I would normally be willing to try again with ordering from the menu instead of the buffet, but I am pretty far away from this place and I don't think it warrants a 35 minute drive each way. Overall I feel it's 3 stars, not too bad, but not worth revisiting, either. read more

Our Absolute Favorite Family Birthday Spot! Typically, I don't write reviews despite my best intentions. However, it would be remiss not to give praise where praise is deserved. We have been going to the Tandoori Kitchen for years. Every time we go, I say that I am going to write a review. Here it is. While there are several fabulous Indian restaurants in the area, we repeatedly return to the Tandoori Kitchen because, quite simply, it is the best Indian food I have ever eaten. We typically order the Saag, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Korma because that is what we love. Everything I have tasted from the menu has been great so far. , The owner, Raj, is incredibly welcoming and wonderful. He makes us feel at home every time. The wait staff gives impeccable service. Ok WOW! One of the BEST Makhani chicken dishes I've ever tasted. The sauce was perfectly balanced and had that gorgeous orange-y thickness that makes it so special. I paired that with some vegetable biryani that came with Raita (yogurt sauce that offers a nice cooling element to the dish) and 2 kinds of naan - butter naan and garlic naan. Both were out of this world tasty. The dough is so flavorful and you get a nice portion to be able to dip into the rich Makhani sauce. The rice was also perfectly cooked and heated up well for leftovers without being hard/dried out. I'm hooked and can't wait to eat here again! read more

I love this food and challenging myself with the spice level lol. I've been to Tandoori Kitchen twice now, and I know that my bf and I have ordered takeout on a number of other occasions. Each experience, both in person and through a delivery service, have been wonderful! Some high notes: 1. The food (duh). The taste of each dish we've tried has been exquisite; the food is served piping hot and fresh and even the lunch sized portions are more than enough to satisfy big eaters. 2. Presentation is super neat and clean. I've only ever dined in during the lunch hour, but the meals are served on these super cool compartmentalized metal plates and the main course sits in this little metal bowl that fits perfectly into the center compartment. It is very satisfying to look at lol. 3. Price point is very reasonable, especially considering the size of the meals. 4. Service is excellent and the nice gentleman who has helped us out the two times we've been in is super kind and very friendly. 5. Cleanliness is on point and regardless of how busy the dining area is (again, can only speak to the lunch crowd), tables are cleaned quickly, and the entire atmosphere is neat and organized. Tandoori Kitchen is a favorite in our house, and I expect that won't change anytime soon! Next time I will have to snap a pic before all the food is gone lol. read more

I was skeptical of the five stars at first, but after trying some items, I'd say they are well deserved. Top notch Indian food. I ordered chicken korma, vegetable samosas, butter naan, and rice. Everything had lots of flavor and had above average quality. Creamy korma, spicy but not too spicy, tender chunks of chicken, an average portion. Fresh steamy rice. Lightly crispy and tasty samosas. 3.5 stars The prices are great and service is fast and friendly. The food was just okay. I got a lunch special of chicken, marinated in coconut milk, forgot what it was called. I asked for a spice level of three out of five which I was told was spicy, and there was practically no spice in it. I would have called it mild. There was barely a hint of coconut flavor; it was mostly just creamy and salty sensations that I got from the dish that overwhelmed all of the other spices. the Chana masala was pretty good, but I have had better at Sukoon in Littleton. Overall, you won't necessarily regret going here, but there is better Indian food in the Denver metro area. read more

THE LUNCH SPOT 1. They serve their lunch on the neatest plates. It makes for an amazing presentation for someone who eats with their eyes (aka me!). Oddly, it made it very fun, too! Who knew dish ware could do such a thing? :D 2. The food comes out piping hot with a little extra goodies. On our cool plates, we were given our entree, rice, raw carrots/cucumbers, yummy chickpeas and this crazy delicious fried onion/potato fritter. 3. The portions are the exact same as dinner. You are going to get full and enjoy every last bite... or if you can control yourself... you'll have some tasty leftovers to get after later. We never have this much control, lol. :D 4. They are very mindful of the lunch hour. We got in and out in less than an hour. I think it was 40ish minutes. 5. The kindest service. The gentleman that serves at both the lunch and dinner hour has the best smile and just makes you happy you came in. He is so pleasant to interact with, as well as, makes sure you are taken care of during your dining experience. We've been going for the last few weeks on a weekly lunch date, so I've tried the Paneer Saag, Chicken Tikka Masala, Paneer Korma, Chicken Indian Curry, Vegetable Indian Curry, Baigan Bharta and Mataar Paneer. Food is always delicious, service is always fantastic, and the new-ish lights they have put up only increase the fantastic ambiance of the restaurant! I've tested out a bunch of different Indian/Nepalese restaurants the past few months, and I can still say that tandoori kitchen is still my favorite. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the other places as well, but Tandoori is still my number go to! Give them a go if you're thinking about and looking for a great experience! Tandoori provides exceptional service too! Out of all the places in Lafayette I've been to, Tandoori has the best hospitality. They care and want us to have a great experience. The manager is always checking in with guest and making people feel comfortable. My favorites include the veggie vindaloo, the aloo gobi, and any of the naans. Really great local Indian food in Lafayette! They're right next to the Flatirons Church. We did pick up. The food was definitely surprising! One of the best places we've been to so far. The Paneer Masala was cheesy and flavorful. We loved the huge Pakora balls and the crispy onion samosas. The appetizers were delicious and worth it. The naan bread was moist and tasty as well. Ordered their goat biryani and it was very delicious. The yoghurt sauce blended with the biryani very well. Recommend putting some on the rice before every bite to fully enjoy the flavor. Ordered the Rasila for apps. Tender, thinly sliced and flavorful. Wish I ordered it with some rice to eat it with! Price was also very fair for the quantity. Will definitely be back. One of the most flavorful biryani I've had. Only reason I gave it a 4 was because I felt like their naan was too doughy. Maybe it was an off day and it was a little undercooked. The lunch buffet is back, hooray! It is laid out the way I remember from before COVID, with about a half dozen entrees and a half dozen sides, plus a cold table of fresh vegetables and kheer. They bring you fresh-baked naan while you are eating, as well as having naan on the buffet table. My favorite dish here is still the chicken tikka masala, which is one of the choices in the buffet. The food was delicious. We had a grub hub order and everything was amazing... Until the first crunch of chicken cartilage in my makhani. Then the second. And third. And then I was too nauseated and grossed out to continue. Damn shame otherwise. ETA: dark chicken meat doesn't, or shouldn't, contain cartilage that is inedible. Taking this down from 3 stars to 1. The food was great, except for the cartilage, and the owner response takes it from an "our mistake" to a "silly person doesn't know what chicken tastes like." Double ETA: the owner privately messaged me to tell me to make sure i noted grub hub refunded this item. The buffet is still not open and the decor/atmosphere is not the most interesting compared to other local indian restaurants, but the food and service overcome any other imperfections! I had the lunch special and it was more varied than what I've seen in other restaurants--it comes with fresh veggies, a little chana (chickpea) curry, and a sweet sauce (in addition to your chosen curry and rice). Unfortunately, naan is extra, but the lunch is still relatively low-priced even with that addition. Though it could have used a bit more paneer, my saag paneer was excellent, creamy without overdoing it, and the naan was perfect. read more
