I haven't been to Bundu Khan in a while and decided to visit after seeing their recent anniversary video. Bundu Khan Kabab House is an absolute masterclass in authentic Pakistani barbecue. Every dish we ordered reflected exceptional craftsmanship from the perfectly charred, incredibly juicy seekh kababs to the tender flavor packed chicken tikka all served with fresh naan and vibrant chutneys that complete the experience. What truly elevated our experience and was a big upgrade from the Bissonnet days was the outstanding table service. The staff is warm, attentive, and effortlessly professional, ensuring each dish arrives fresh from the grill while making every guest feel genuinely welcomed. Consistency, quality and hospitality are clearly at the heart of everything they do. Bundu Khan doesn't rely on flashy presentation it lets the food and service speak for themselves. If you haven't tried Bundu Khan in quite some time I would highly encourage you to go. The food is good, but the price points a tad high for the portion size and quality of food. Been coming for YEARS since they were at the other location, and food has remained to be same in quality and taste. They have a small menu but are very good at everything they do. Earlier you had to walk up to the counter to place an order but now its all at your table, this seems to be a recent change. I recommend their double masala chicken tikka leg, of course, dunk in both accompanying sauces and get paratha!!! Visited over the weekend. Ordered two Bihari beef and one chicken Tikka leg. I was very disappointed as it took almost 25 minutes so I thought maybe it will be fresh. The chicken tikka. was OK was very mild barely any flavor. And the beef Bihari kebab was so burnt. We couldn't even swallow it when I complaint they replaced with one of them. Partha temperature warm not hot. Never ever going back again. There are so many other choices. Can't believe they fu#@ up like this. Not my favourite Pakistani restaurant but the location is convenient and I've come a few times after an HEB/Walmart trip. Interior is very basic, could be made more appealing with decor. Most of the food is decent enough, but my biggest gripe is the quantity of food given for the price of some of the dishes. We'd ordered daal & cholay for $8 each which is entree-level price but they were served in small dessert-sized bowls. There are so many other South Asian restaurants in the area that don't skimp on portion sizes as much, so I probably won't need to come back here anytime soon. read more

Ordered take-out from here late on a Friday night. SERVICE: Really nice. We hit some traffic on the way, and the server was kind enough to stay a bit past closing to give us our order. They were also kind and efficient when taking our order over the phone. FOOD: We ordered the chicken boti and chicken behari kababs. Both tasted delicious. If I had to choose, I liked the chicken behari a little more because it tasted better seasoned and was so tender. The kababs come with onions and sauce. VALUE: Not bad value, you get a full kabab (~6-8 pieces of chicken) for about $11. It would be nice if it came with a carb included but you can opt to order naan or chapati (which are reasonably priced) on the side. Overall, great experience and great food. Interesting layout for sure. Feels like a market style eatery rather than a sit down restaurant. Quite loud. Food is quite spicy. Ordered mild on the kabob but I was sweating and tearing up, taste buds were burnt off. The kabob came with a side of raw onions and lemon. Honestly surprised to see the 3-star rating because this place was amazing! Food was fantastic, I'm literally craving it again just looking at the pictures to post this review. We ordered the Chicken tikka, Bihari kebab, Goat chops, naan and paratha and all were phenomenal. Spice level was pretty high for me but perfect for my family who loves extra spice. Luckily I ordered a mango lassi that balanced the spice well and the lassi itself was delicious. I would ask to adjust the spice next time but I still thoroughly enjoyed all the food and flavor! They know how to make their meats. If visiting Sugarland again in the near future, Bundu Khan is definitely one of the top on my list! Poor quality and taste of food, the sevice has gone downhill considerably. Expensive, tasteless food served cold. I ordered number of items including Tikka, Seekh Kabab, Behari Kabab, Daal and plain rice. Total disappointment. 12$ for the chicken Tikka too expensive. May be highest I paid for chickem Tikka ever. The taste was missing, it wasn't tender and juicy but bit dry and chewy. Chicken was not properly marinated. The inner part of the chickem was raw. Outside was overcooked, inside raw. Total shame. Behari kabab was mediocre at best. Way too much seasoning. The texture of meat was not good at all. Price and quality wise, not worth it. Only one mid siize skew per serving. In the menu, it was displayed 2 skews but I got only one. Seekh Kabab was too dry. The combination of spice and mince meat was out of balance. AllI I could taste is pepper. Daal serving size was of same like chutney. It wasn't even a half serving size. The plain rice was also another let down. The price they charge, you would expect good quality long grain Basmati Rice but it was low quality reheated mushy rice. Overall a very disappointing experience. ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND ZERO ETHICS We ordered food for 6 people - almost everything from the menu. But my 6-year-old child kept crying because he wanted pasta (which the menu didn't have). To keep him calm, while the rest of the family's order was being prepared, I quickly ran to a nearby place and got a small kids pasta container just for him. When I came back and sat at the table with that little food bag, the entire restaurant staff suddenly jumped on me as if I had committed a crime. The manager (I forgot his name) told me I cannot feed my kid inside the restaurant and practically asked me to take my child outside in the hot weather to eat. Seriously? My wife even went to the owner, politely explaining the situation and requesting a one-time exception, promising it wouldn't happen again. But instead of understanding, the owner coldly said: "It's alright if you want to cancel your order, but WE WON'T ALLOW YOUR KID TO EAT INSIDE." What kind of hospitality is this? Any good restaurant would simply say: "Sir/Ma'am, outside food isn't allowed. Please avoid it next time." That's called politeness and customer service. Instead, this place made us feel insulted and unwelcome. Honestly, very disappointing. Never going again. read more

After following Chris Sheppard's recommendations we went to Bundu Khan. Bundu Khan is a restaurant specializing in Indian, Pakistani, and Kabobs. Chris recommended this restaurant and we were disappointed with it in so many ways. We arrived at 1 PM ( when they open) and they were still performing set up of the restaurant putting chairs and tables up. This was our first time at this restaurant. After being seated we asked the waiter for water and got a pitcher with plastic glasses. This set up the expectation of whether we were going to get plastic service ware. We received real metal service ware which was a relief. One of my significant other's pet peeves is not to go out to eat and have them become a take out ( plastic silverware ware, and paper plates) My significant other identified us as first timers and discussed the menu. These employees were waiters, not servers, and did not understand the menu or different tastes of the clientele Then we ordered Chicken Behar and a mild Chicken Boti with rice, and naan bread. We explained to the waiter that my partner did not like "hot" food. He pointed to the menu and to the yellow ( rather than the red pepper on the menu). I enjoy "hot" food so I was looking forward to the meal. After some back and forth with the waiter my significant other reluctantly agreed to the yellow pepper ( there is no green pepper on the menu for adult food). After we ordered rice the server immediately stopped taking the order and said they did not have any rice and left to confirm that with the front desk. They confirmed it and came back. This surprised us as this is an Indian, Pakistani restaurant. How do you run out of rice when there is an HEB right across from their location. The best part of this meal was the Naan bread. The chicken advertised special seasoning and I was looking forward to it. The seasoning was nothing like col. Sanders. It had heat but the seasoning was not finger licking good. Perhaps it's good to Pakistani or Indians, but it's not good enough to bring us back. It's not comparable to Aga's which is also Indian, Pakistani food. We really enjoyed Aga's and will be back there. The real indictment comes from the lack of clientele. Many many empty chairs after being there an hour. In contrast, Aga's was 3/4 full after an hour with people streaming in and from many different nationalities. When my significant other received her food its was to "hot" ( remember this was "mild") for her to eat. At one point she was using my ice from the soft drink to cool her tongue. You can imagine the tongue lashing I received for taking "us" to a restaurant which served her food that she considered inedible. Her meal consisted of rice, naan bread, and cucumbers. On the way home she complained of burping up the cucumber with " the seasoning and heat". Ya, I'm still paying for this! Overall, there was very little ambiance, chairs were comfortable as were the tables. Two murals were painted on the walls. The walls were mostly glass or lacked pictures. The waiters/waitresses were acceptable; however, the requirement the client must like heat and the lack of understanding that some don't like heat really robs them of clients. Overall, we won't be back! Aga's really is much better. We strongly disagree with Chris on this one. It''s not enough to even get us interested in coming back. Then there's the HEB story. There is so much here that is not food friendly to the possible clientele in so many ways. I found the menu to be extremely limited. They have about 20 or so entrees, including a children's plate. This certainly bothered us. A India, Pakistani restaurant that did not have rice. I then ordered a Diet Coke. What I got was an HEB diet cola. I had to ask for ice and got a styrofoam cup Why they can't buy Diet Coke in addition to diet HEB. Use real glasses. This is just a step above take out food which appears to be there real business. read more

Can't go wrong with BBQ food at a PK restaurant. From the aromas of tikkas, kabobs, boti etc, it's an awesome experience every time. We ordered chicken tikka legs and breast. Bihari kabob, seekh kabobs, chicken and beef boti's and a whole bunch of that carbolicious NAAN. The food was excellent. All items were on point. My only complaint to them is the following, which prevented them from getting 5 stars. It's a sit down restaurant and they have introduced this new policy where you have to pay first and then be seated for your food. The major problem I have with this is that every time you have to order something else, you have to go back and run your credit card again for like a dollar transaction or two dollar transaction rather having a Kiosk system where u just rack up the tab and pay in the end, like most of other sit down restaurants do. It so happened that the owner was present at that moment and I went and told him about this and his response was that we have had people that walked out and we cannot afford this, so I told him that as a business owner it's a risk you have to factor in running a business. I see the bad reviews and am wondering if I went on a good day or people just have really high expectations? I've had food here a few times. We try to hit this place almost every time we go to Houston. The BBQ is always spot on. We usually get a mix of chicken and beef dishes and haven't had reason to complain yet. we were in sugar land abd heard good things about bundu khan so decided to check it out. there was a long list to wait for a table and that process wasn't very coordinated. after 30-45 minutes we finally ordered and got a table. you place the order and then sit at a table and the food is delivered to your table. we ordered naan, paratha, halwa, kabob and chicken. the chicken and kabob were good and so were the naan. the halwa and paratha were average and we've had better elsewhere. overall good food but needs better coordination during rush read more

From Puri Parathas, Chicken Tikkas, Seekh Kebabs to Grill Chops & Chicken Seekh Kebab rolls, everything is scrumptious. You can never go wrong with their Tikkas - they are soft & flavorful. In addition to the delicious barbecued food, their Halwa, Lassi & Kulfi are worth trying. Lately, their bbq had been externally spicy so if you love spicy food, you must try their food at least once. Good choice, if you are interested only to try kebabs, grill. They do not offer biryanis or curries/ karahi dishes. The meats are grilled to perfection and I would recommend the breads as well. They do not offer delivery services so only dine in and pickup allowed. I tried Bundu Khan in Sugar Land for the first time today. The food took way too long to come out considering the restaurant was relatively empty. It took over 20 minutes and that's just too long to sit and wait for lunch. They kept using the excuse "It takes 20 minutes to grill chicken kabobs." Its an insult to anyone's intelligence who regularly eats at Kabob places and gets their chicken Kabab in 10 minutes. When the food came out, it looked really good. Unfortunately, it wasn't that good. It was way, way too spicy (and I like spicy food), and the meat texture was way too soft to the point of being mushy. I understand Bihari Kabab is supposed to be mushy, but we didn't order that! We ordered Chicken Boti and Seekh Kabab. A very strange thing about this place is that they have a weird cult following who will literally attack you online if you even suggest this place is anything but God's gift to humanity. It's because it's Halal and is named after some famous Kabob joint in Pakistan even though there's no affiliation other than the name. Try improving your food instead of having some kind of squad to bully people who say your food needs improvement. It's also way overpriced. I don't find such kabobs anywhere in nyc. Sad I missed the promotion of free halwa Puri I guess when I went in yesterday. This is closer to home than the bissonet location. We will be coming here a lot. Takes full payment information over the phone at the time of order and if the order is wrong they don't even admits their mistake. I've been their customers for many years had occasional delays and wrong orders but this time they pissed me off big time. They took my order over the phone but gave me wrong food.
