This place was amazing! From the service to the portions, pricing, & flavor it was all on point. This place was so filling and tasted amazing. We came here the morning after getting engaged in Yosemite and it was the perfect spot. The name sold us right away lol. I had the country fried steak with biscuits and gravy, and he had one of the breakfast burritos that had biscuits and gravy inside of it. The server also gave us a side of the homemade adobo and it paired great with the burrito. Lastly, we got a hot chocolate to go, and it was so tasty & creamy. Will definitely be back the next time we come to yosemite.

Came at 4:30 on a Sunday and they were closed..these hours may not be accurate

3.5 stars rounded to 4. Tried to come here for dinner on a Sunday at 4:30, but they were closed, despite their hours saying they should be open until 6. Major disappointment. But, I was happy that we got to try them for breakfast. Food was good. I enjoyed my bacon, avocado, cheese omelette with added onions. They stuffed it/werent stingy with the filling. I originally wanted to get the house potatoes, but they said they couldn't get them crispy because of the onions/peppers in it. So, I got the hash browns instead and they were nice and crispy like I like. My family seemed to enjoy their dishes as well. Service was fine. It could have been a bit more attentive, considering we were one of two tables. But, no real complaints. Parking lot is kinda small, but not a problem during winter. I would definitely come back and recommend it if it's along your way to Yosemite.

If breakfast is your thing, this place deserves a spot at the top of your list. And if you're a biscuits-and-gravy or chicken-fried-steak person, honestly, you'll want to stop here more than once. I went for the Country Boy, which comes with their house-made biscuits and from-scratch gravy paired with a perfectly cooked chicken fried steak. I added eggs because... why not? Photos don't even come close to showing how good this plate really is. It's comfort food done right, and this spot is officially our go-to whenever we're in the area. The inside is surprisingly spacious, the atmosphere feels relaxed, and major bonus, they welcome well-behaved dogs. That alone makes it an easy choice for us. Highly recommend!

Avocado toast with a side of eggs

Stopped by on a Saturday morning. When we entered, we greeted the workers and told them good morning. We received absolutely no response from them. They warmed up a little when we approached the counters. We ordered avocado toast which came on sourdough, with everything bagel seasoning, thick cuts of tomato and micro greens. I also ordered over medium eggs on the side. The food was served on paper plates. The toast was very underwhelming. It was generally flavorless without adding a lot of salt and hot sauce. The bread was not hearty or toasted enough to support all the toppings. The tomato was cut in thick slices which made it hard to cut with the plastic forks. There was a generous amount of microgreens on to. However the toast desperately needed salt and an acid, like a pickled onion, in order to fill out the flavor. And at $14, the quality doesn't justify the price. I also ordered a side of potatoes and they were very soggy and unseasoned. I don't think I'd return.

Want some really good hash browns?

Yes , yes yes! Loved the biscuits and gravy with chicken fried steak which they dip in buttermilk not eggs. I can't eat eggs so breakfast sometimes is limited but not so much here! They have plenty of eggs dishes but so many delicious alternatives like the hash browns with black beans and avocado which my friend had and it was also so good! Definitely recommend this cute and friendly cafe!

Sweet family owned and operated cafe nestled next to a gas station on the way to Yosemite NP. Great home made food, baked goods/desserts from the owner/waitress, dinner by her Shia nd who's makes a mean burger! Burgers are the highlight, loaded fries are a fun addition. Local charm and rustic atmosphere create a homey and quaint experience.

This is the burger and loaded fries.

This place has the best service ever. We had the best experience dinning in on our way to Yosemite National Park. We are so glad to have experience a welcoming and warming atmosphere. Service was divine. The food is the best we have ever had. Definitely recommend the burgers and the loaded fries. Will be coming backing whenever we are in the area again.

From what I understand, their business can be up and down, so you never quite know how much they'll have out. They're trying not to waste food, which I can appreciate. That said, I really liked the vibe of the place. It's warm and inviting, and it seems like a great stop on your way to Yosemite -- especially if you want coffee and something sweet. We picked up a cookie, and it was very good. They also had sourdough cookies, which sounded interesting, but we didn't get to try them. Maybe next time. The gentleman working there was friendly and helpful. I hope this place sticks around, because it's a nice little bakery with good people. Worth stopping in and giving it a try yourself.

We initially wanted to discuss breakfast catering options, but once we received highly detailed emails from Jennifer about her services we then decided to move forward with planning/catering/floral/furniture/signage/wedding cake/tastings/wine pairings and so much more. Cakewalk provided the perfect nature design/coordination, organic farm to table catering and custom cake design with dessert services for our special day. Jennifer is an absolute gem. She connected with us via phone and email multiple times leading up to the big day to plan a truly amazing wedding day. She asked us for our pinterest board, and she really listened to our ideas and concerns. Her emails were very detailed and consisted of multiple design boards. She was very organized and provided us with a comprehensive planning timeline. Jennifer incorporated two new entrees for our dinner service that were not in their original menu selection. During the tasting, she offered the highest degree of service. She also provided the wine pairings for each dish! Jennifer coordinated with all our vendors. She planned a day of coronation timeline that was perfectly executed and was flexible with any changes. She really has a caring eye for detail and made our dream wedding a reality! Our wedding party was intimate with 20 guests and Jennifer and her team really made everyone feel like royalty. WOW! We found this shop the night before, when arriving at the same shopping plaza to have dinner…read moreat Strings Italian(please see separate review). I looked up Bon Apetit - Crepes, Croissants & More on Yelp, saw a very good rating, but not too much information and only a few photos. Considering this business has been here more than 12 years, and boasted baked goods, I HAD to do my research and provide a bit more information. We came in after our breakfast at My Garden Cafe(please see separate review), so we weren't hungry but, again, research was the goal. The space itself was a bit surprising. Having occupied this space for so many years, I guess I expected it to look more like a restaurant or kitchen of some kind. It doesn't. The large interior space has a few small bistro style patio tables and chairs (even outdoor umbrellas!) and - I think - is meant to look as if patrons are dining al fresco in Paris, maybe??? But it reminded me more of a church or school bake sale. Folding tables with colorful tablecloths are pushed up along one wall and on them set large, food service grade, clear plastic bins with the baked good inside. Above each bin is a laminated color copy of the corresponding pastry affixed to the wall. Utensils, paper bags and tongs are available for customers to self serve their selections. A separate cart has a couple of industrial coffee carafes and paper cups for beverage self service, alongside a free standing water cooler. I asked if the pastries are made there and was told no. They are made fresh each morning by the owner, Bruno, and brought in in the bins and arranged, usually, under the display pictures to easily see what is in that day. So, while not conventional, this method obviously works, and has for OVER A DECADE. Unconventional bakery esthetics and sales methods aside, the products are what customers are repeatedly here for. AUTHENTIC, French pastries made from European butter, making them lighter than an angel's wings and tastier than the devil should allow. My husband was going to patiently wait while I chose my purchases, but I persuaded him to indulge in the last remaining buttery croissant as I added it to my bag of pain au chocolate. I'm such an arm twister.... CAUTION! Digression ahead: Recently, I had been excited about a different croissant purchase at a sandwich shop in Sunland-Tujunga, only to bite into something that was more like Pilsbury canned dough than a real buttery French croissant. I guess that unpleasant experience made me long for pastry vindication and Bon Apetit came through for the win! But even before my first bite, I asked Bruno what type of chocolate he used in the pain au chocolate. 'Today Belgian. I get Belgian if I cannot get French, because they are practically the same,' he replied in his lovely French accent. And I melted. FINALLY! I was getting AUTHENTIC pain au chocolate! I'm telling you, when you have had the real thing, an imitation French pastry, made with anything less than quality European butter and chocolate just won't satisfy. We enjoyed our lovely, delicious pastries a bit later, while visiting Bridalveil Fall in Yosemite. Briefly, I tried letting the pain au chocolate sit in the warmth of the sun's rays atop my dashboard, wishing I had a way to heat the pain au chocolate enough to soften the chocolate, but I just couldn't wait. I was still very happy and satisfied with the flaky, light buttery taste of the pastry and the wonderful flavor and texture of the chocolate inside. I am adding Bon Apetit - Crepes, Croissants & More to my "Cali Road-tripping" bookmarks and look forward to bringing my French pastry loving bestie with me for my return visit. Cheers! CC
