WORTH THE VERY LONG WAIT on a Saturday afternoon! Try ordering ahead for pickup as we easily waited 20min for 3 drinks. There is fortunately some limited seating inside and outside. The interior is decorated nicely in green tones aligned with their fresh fruit and tea vibes. It's our first visit so we ordered 3 of their top 5 drinks. Hot dang, they were GOOOOOD!!!! Frangipani jasmine lemon (30% sugar), ruby guava strawberry lemon tea (30% sugar) and the green grape/kale fruit drink (no sugar per recommendation). They did have 0% and 10% sugar options but I was so traumatized by the yucky UG tea experience that I decided to do 30%. We LOVED ALL OF THE DRINK. Our favorite was the grape/kale followed by the guava strawberry lemon. Reward your tastebuds - get a drink here! Friendly service also! PLEASE COME TO SAN MATEO!!!
we visited on a sunday afternoon and waited about 25-30min for two drinks which is crazy but this was also around the time when it opened so hopefully the wait is better now. the interior was very green and gave off green juice vibes and they have a lot of healthy options on their menu. they have some tables and seating inside, but it seems more like a spot to wait for your drinks rather than a place where people sit down to do work. i tried the phoenix lemon oolong tea (7/10) and honestly i didnt like it at first. something made it taste funky to me, but the more i drank it, the more i liked it?? the lemon and oolong flavor were both strong (which i liked) and both flavors complimented each other well. a very interesting experience,,, if the wait is faster, then id be interested in trying some of their other items!
Twas a very hot day in May 2026...Wifey and I were craving a cold drink after our workout (right across the street from the 24 Hour Fitness Sunnyvale-Saratoga) and decided to try TANING. We were seeking a place that serves YUMMY drinks that happened to be ice-cold, healthy (just in time for post-workout gainz), and allowed us to sit down to enjoy some refreshing air conditioning. TANING checked off all these boxes. We were extremely impressed by the deliciousness of a "healthier" boba tea drink. I might even go as far to say as this is the best avocado drink I've ever had in my life, and I've had my fair share. HIGHLY recommend the 1) Avocado with Pistachio 2) Avocado with Pecan and 3) Avocado with Coconut Jelly. Wifey and I enjoyed TANING so much, that we went back two more times that week for a total of 3 post-workout as well as non-post-workout drinks!! And we will continue to come back as I believe this is the yummiest/healthiest tea shop in the Bay Area. Shoutout to Anh, one of the awesome managers, for the outstanding customer service and making us feel so welcome, despite our sweaty attire!
This place looks interesting and has refreshing drinks! Plenty of parking in the plaza. The place is very clean and bright with modern decorations. Lots of options on the menu I wanted to try! We ordered: - Super A Avocado Coconut Smoothie: very creamy and thick smoothie with strong coconut flavor. This was my fave from the two I tried since I really liked the consistency and flavor. The downside was that it came with some type of jelly, wish I had removed the jelly but I might've missed that option when ordering. - Pistachio & Avocado Coconut Drink: added boba to this drink but didn't realize it came with some jelly also. The chopped pistachio added some crunch to the drink which was enjoyable for me. The batch of boba I had came bunched up which ruined this drink for me. Overall, I enjoyed the experience and the ambiance here. The staff are very efficient and made our order really quickly even tho they had many to-go orders as well. The cups were so cute and made the drink more fun! I would come back to try the other tea-based drinks!
Another tea shop in the bay area! Went on a monday afternoon, and it wasn't busy :) They have a couple tables inside which was nice for a yap session. I tried the apple and kale fiber fruit drink and it really reminded me of the kale boost tea from heytea except it was sweeter, had more chia seeds, and didn't have any tea? The portion size is also bigger, but I wish there was tea! Drinks were very pricey tho. My friend got the frangipani jasmine green lemon tea with crystal boba and it was $10. $10 for a lemon tea is kinda crazy... Def come if you're looking for a refreshing fruit drink
Taning met my expectations with its balance of fresh, healthy flavors and deliciousness. I came here on a Saturday morning after lunch, and the line was pretty short, but there was limited seating. When you first come in, you turn to the left to order at the kiosk, and to the right of the shop is their pickup area. The store itself is pretty cute and matches their clean aesthetic. They have around 4-5 tables inside, along with a small outdoor seating area. I noticed they have a couple of prizes (trinkets) that they give out when you earn a certain amount of points with them through their rewards program (using your phone number), which was pretty unique! I didn't claim anything this time, but I will definitely try to rack up some points. When you order, you receive both a text confirmation and an assigned order number. Near the seating area, there is a monitor that shows the status of your drink, and they will also call it out through their automated system (not the barista). In total, I waited around 10 minutes for three drinks, which was not bad considering I saw the workers hand-smashing the lemons and preparing everything by hand. Here are the items I got: * Avocado Pistachio Oat Matcha: This came in a really unique shaker bottle that allowed you to pour the drink into a shot cup (not necessary, but a cool experience). The drink itself was nice, creamy, and buttery. Note: use the large straw for this drink because there are huge chunks of oats (which were tasty). The pistachio and avocado also worked really well together, and it was not too thick. *Superberry Salad: This one tasted nice and tart, but thick (like a smoothie, because it is one). I appreciated the chia seeds for texture and the healthy boost of fiber. *Green Grape Lemon Jasmine Tea: This one was light and refreshing, with a great hint of grape and a bold citrus profile. Overall, I would love to come here again and try more drinks, particularly the green juices!
I by tried the Smashed Wampi Lemon Tea, the Super Berry Night-Antioxidant Salad Drink, and the pistachio avocado drink (not pictured). The berry smoothie had a beautiful color and tasted decent, but I wasn't a fan of the oats mixed into it. I would recommend adding ice to it. The Wampi Tea had a lingering bitter aftertaste that felt a bit off and not refreshing. The pistachio avocado drink was also underwhelming. I would rather get a traditional avocado smoothie elsewhere. I do like the concept of a healthier fruit tea shop, and I'm open to trying some of their shaker bottle drinks in the future. The interior is cute with plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. Overall, not a place I'd go out of my way for.
Yummy healthy drinks right next to a malatang restaurant. TALK ABOUT FLOW STATE! Stopped by on a Friday evening and no wait at all. It's a cute little place with some seating and I like that you can order on a Kiosk. I got one of their popular drinks called the Avocado Oatmeal Pecan Smoothie which was almost 9 bucks. Inflation in this economy aint no joke. I got it at 50% sweet which was perfect for me. It tasted rich in Avocado flavor and I really enjoyed the oatmeal bits on the bottom. It comes in a fun bottle that you can shake and twist the cap of. There were two workers making drinks at the front and my friend and I had to wait less than 10 minutes for our drink to be ready. We literally walked over from Caunyue Malatang LOL. I would totally come back to try their other drinks.
We got the (1) Pistachio & Avocado Oat Matcha (added quinoa popping boba) (2) ruby guava strawberry lemon tea (3) Keemun Black Lemon Tea. Read mixed reviews for the P&AOM drink, but I actually really liked it. My bf and I downed that drink together. Thought the design of the cup was quite creative and smart, and hope to return to get that $1 off if you bring the reusable cup back. Just not sure how it would work if we're ordering from the self serve kiosk tho. Ambiance is quite modern and bright. I like the layout. An automated speaker will announce ur order number to let you know your order is ready. Service is ur typical self serve kiosk service, but I still appreciate them asking if we need a bag for our 3 drinks, so thank you! Overall, I would love to come back! Esp since there's a rewards program, which is a great way to keep customers coming back to use ur points and redeem their merch. Just wish I lived closer or they opened more locations in the future hopefully :)
Finally stopped by Taning on a warm Saturday when we were craving some refreshing drinks to cool down. It wasn't too busy but we felt the rush after ordering when there was suddenly a huge influx of the weekend crowd that came in right after us. We knew we wanted fruity drinks and ending up ordering the Green Grape & Kale Fiber Fruit Drink and the Ruby Guava Strawberry Lemon Tea with boba. The green grape and kale drink was a refreshing, freshly made juice- a tasty and healthy drink that I'd definitely reorder. The Ruby guava strawberry lemon tea was also good at first but quickly got more and more bitter as I kept drinking due to the pulp. I'll be back as there were other exciting menu items to try!

A refreshing take amidst all the copy and paste boba spots in the bay. At TANING, you'll find fruit and vegetable drinks that actually make you feel healthy. We tried the avocado pistachio coconut (9/10) and frangipani jasmine lemon tea (7/10), but everything on the menu looked amazing. Your Chinese mom would like this place--it's not too sweet.
Sunnyvale has so many great things to discover, and I recently found this Chinese drink store called Taning! They have such a wide variety of drinks, including fresh fruit tea, smoothies, and milk tea that all look delicious and fresh. I tried the Pistachio & Avocado Coconut Drink and the Signature Phoenix Oolong Boba Milk Tea, and both were absolutely amazing. The milk tea had a very strong tea flavor, but I like it that way and absolutely satisfying with the milk tea quality. The avocado drink was creamy and I loved that it came with oats, which added a nice texture for my drink. I also really appreciated the packaging for the avocado drink, it was so cute and functional, came with a cap so I decided to wash and keep it for future use! Overall, 10/10. I absolutely love this store and can't wait to come back!
I was so excited to try as I'm usually someone who likes less sweet drinks. I got both the fiber drinks, the frangipane jasmine and oolong. Honestly loved all the fiber ones. My only thing is that it was either 100% or 0% sugar. I didn't know if it would be bitter with 0 so I got 100% thinking it will likely not be too sweet but it was too sweet for my taste. Next time I'll try the 0 cause I did really like the flavors. Also the jasmine and oolong at 50/70% respectively LOVED how strong the tea flavor was but probably will still go down to less sugar for both. Overall I think this is a great summer drink place. I will say also the workers and maybe owner were super friendly during soft opening. They did offer figurines for a 5 star review so I would come here to form your own opinion rather than looking at ratings but I do think they deserve high stars for the taste! read more

They are currently doing a BOGO 50% off deal until Jan 4th! There was a bit of wait to order as there is only one Kiosk to order from. While waiting in line, a staff member gave out a sample of their Signature Phoenix Oolong Lemon Tea and their menu. He also asked if I had any questions regarding the menu or their drinks. After ordering, I do like how they give you a ETA of when the drink will be ready. They'll also text you to let you know that that your order is ready. Drink: - Signature Phoenix Oolong Lemon Tea (From the sample they gave us): Super refreshing! It has a good tea to lemon ratio. - Bitter Melon & Apple Fiber Fruit Tea (70% sweet): It comes in a cute shaker cup. The drink is super refreshing and made me feel somewhat healthy with all the bitter melon bit they included. 70% was the perfect amount of sweetness for me cause of all the bitter melon bits in it. It can get a bit bitter towards the end tho. - Smashed Wampi Lemon Tea (70% Sweet): Very much a wampi forward drink. read more

There was one guy that was super nice and he took the time to explain the menu for us . The frangipani jasmine green tea is a must order! Fragrant and refreshing. Absolutely love this place. The drinks are not only delicious but also refreshing and genuinely nutritious. You can taste the freshness in every sip, and I appreciate that the flavors are well-balanced without being overly sweet. It's the perfect spot when you want something that tastes amazing and makes you feel good afterward. Highly recommend! The avocado pecan smoothie was one of my favorites! No caffeine and feels like a healthy full meal. Lots of chewing but super delicious! 50% sugar was perfect. The green grape and kale fiber drink tasted good. It was one of the highest rated on red note. People keep coming back for this drink . No sugar is already a good amount of sweet! The smashed wampi lemon tea had a bitter taste . Not quite a fan of this one. Signature phoenix oolong boba milk tea . 70% wasn't sweet enough. Next time I would go with 100% sugar. The boba was perfectly chewy and bouncy. It felt like a healthy boba drink. Good if craving milk tea but want to make healthier choices. Took about 20 minutes to get our drinks but I believe it was worth it. The jasmine lemon tea I ordered was not sweet at all and leaning towards a more lemoney taste. If you don't prefer more sour I would recommend ordering it a little sweeter! The wait was around 15 minutes to pick up 2 drinks. I would lean more towards the fruit teas and lemon teas since it's what they're more known for. This is a new lemon tea shop on Sunnyvale, same plaza as noodle talk, and there'll be a cuan Yue Malatang opening shortly. The flavor is great as it's not the same as those lemonades that tastes sugary. The lemons are all hand-beaten. I got a grape kale lemon tea, it's caffeine free, also it tastes fresh grapes and some basil seed. Feels healthier. For both drinks, you can see the lemon cuts in there. The pickup was smooth, the wait-line was not too long. From the ordering counter and the pickup counter, you can see staff working hard on those drinks. read more

Came here around 4:00 pm or so on New Years Day, on a Thursday. This is a soft opening by the way so it was super packed, there was a line out the door, but there is plentiful parking. We waited about 15 - 20 minutes. Then about the same to get our drinks. You place your order through a kiosk, there is only one so it does take long for other people to get there turn. We got the Signature Phoenix Oolong Lemon Tea, super delicious and tasted so fresh. This was worth the wait. We also got the smashed wampi lemon tea, this was super delicious and it made my mouth kind of numb lol. We also got 2 other drinks that I forgot the name of, but they were also very healthy tasting and super good as well. This place tends to get super packed with limited seating so I would recommend trying to go during non peak hours or wait until the hype is over. read more

Taning is more known for their lemon drinks in China. They are currently running a buy one get one 50% deal until January 4th. It was a thirty minute wait to use the kiosk to order and another thirty minutes to get the drinks. A few items are not available due to the soft/grand opening. The signature phoenix oolong lemon tea has a strong lemon taste over the tea. Depending on your levels of sugar, it may come out as bitter. At 50% sugar, it still leaned towards the sour side. The signature phoenix oolong boba milk tea tastes strongly of milk. Not much of a tea taste. At 30% sugar, it was extremely bland and not sweet at all in comparison to other tea stores. Maybe the other drinks are better? Would have to come back and try them when there is less of a wait. read more

One of my FAVORITE sweet treat shops in the bay!!! Huge variety of drinks that are very yummy and very healthy (their fruit salad drinks!!). My friends and I came in around 5:45pm on a Sunday. We waited around 20 minutes for 3 drinks. I got the Signature Phoenix Oolong Milk Tea. Although I got 50% sweetness, less than recommended, it tasted more milky to me and very little hint of the Oolong tea taste. The boba is also really chewy and feels smaller compared to other stores. I wouldn't recommend this place for studying since there's no wifi and only one outlet inside. The staff are super friendly and answer all your questions. The Lemon tea here is really great!! Stopped by Lemon Tea on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. The drinks tasted fresh, the tea flavor actually came through, and the lemon added just the right amount of tartness. Not overly sweet, which I really appreciated. Service was quick and friendly, and the menu had plenty of options to choose from. Perfect spot when you're craving something light and refreshing instead of another super sugary drink. Taning is a tea shop in Sunnyvale, known for their clean and fresh drinks. There's plenty of free parking in the lot in the complex and seating indoors. The ambiance can be described as bright and overstimulating. There's an overwhelming smell of durian inside the restaurant and it's loud/bright too. There's a kiosk where you can place your order or order with the barista in front. They're constantly busy because of pickup/kiosk orders, but everything gets made quickly and the board let's you know when your order is ready. We ordered a mango avocado twist and signature avocado smoothie with chia seeds. Both were the perfect amount of sweet, fresh, and filling. I really liked the drink container they came in, it was high quality and made the experience better. The mango avocado twist had a good ratio of fresh mango to avocado, but it wasn't something that I'm dying to try again. The signature avocado smoothie was my favorite between the two though. The chia seed mixture was sweet and gave the drink a pleasurable texture. The drinks were expensive, but the quality made up for it. I'd definitely recommend trying avocado smoothies from here at least once. read more

The drinks are so unique! I got the Pistachio Avocado Oat Matcha and they actually had oat pieces inside. If you like texture in drinks, this one is for you. It's sweet, but not overly sweet. The avocado didn't shine as much, but the matcha is slightly there and the oat is more prominent. I ended up getting no sugar, but it didn't taste like much. Gabe (one of the baristas) was nice and accomodating to add some more sweetness and 30% was perfect! Also, my friend got the Green Grape and Kale Fiber and it was indeed fibrous lol. read more

first time here. place and ambiance are ok. order through kiosk or hungry panda app. you can collect some points for some rewards. anyway, for drinks: * ruby guava strawberry lemon tea: ok * apple & kale fiber fruit drink: the bottle is quite unique. the drink is ok but just a bit too sweet for my tastebuds but quite refreshing * frangipani jasmine green lemon tea: according to their menu, this is the most favorite drink. it is quite refreshing but then i will say they over smashed the lemonade and taste became a bit bitter. just a recommendation: may be need the jasmine flavor a bit more in the drink overall, i will say their drinks are ok. they give recommendation sugar but if you do not like sweet too much, may be degrade one level of sweetness from their recommendation. must try for tea lovers... read more

oh my gosh!! Originally came to try their tea bc saw it had just opened and the shaker cups looked really cool and reusable!! Also was intrigued by the bittermelon drink as I've always wanted to try this style of juice! I loved it so much we visited 3 times in the span of a day LOL! My favorites are the bittermelon apple fruits tea, green grape jasmine tea, green grape kale fiber drink!! Love their cups and their drinks! Will be back again soon!! I got the signature phoenix oolong and i give it a 4/5 the tea flavor was great and fragrant but overall the drink was kind of light and flavor and prefer a more stronger taste. read more
