We walked in and we were ignored . They were too busy chatting away in their language which is very rude . We were finally asked 10 minutes later what we wanted we said pedicure ... for this place if you want to sit in the massage chair it's 32 $!! If you prefer a regular chair and a tub to soak your feet it's 25$. We chose the chair 25$. Immediately we were given a strange look.!! It was my first day here. I recently moved and had to find a new nail salon closer to my new home. This place was recommended by my friend. Tina was very nice and she works fast but good. I liked her recommendation and chose a design that at my old salon would have cost almost double the price. I will definitely make this my new nail salon and Tina my new nail technician. I've been coming here on and off for 10+yrs. It's hit or miss on the nail tech you get. Overall they do a good job. They're busy in the mornings... best time to go is after 3pm or maybe after lunch it starts to slow down. When they're busy they ARE BIZZZAAYYY! The longest I've waited is 2hrs. First time coming here and Did a walk-in. The main lady in the front did my manicure she was nice but she was quick. But at least she got my cuticles. When I look for places I make sure they cut my cuticles properly. But the lady who did my pedicure was just horrible and I'd say lazy (see video). She really did the minimal of all. Didn't even get my ingrown. I keep checking my feet to make sure she gets everything but you can tell she was being annoyed but I'm paying for your service and shouldn't have to check if you did your job. Since my first review, they have come a long way! The staff is always friendly and the gal who did my nails is amazing! I never have issues with my acrylic nails lifting or coming off by next 2-week appointment. In fact, I have gone 3 weeks and have had no issues. Don't get me wrong. There may be minor issues from time to time with different people working on your nails but they fix them. Some are better at certain types of nail jobs than others. So give them a try and find who your specific person is. You can always request appointments with that person of choice. read more

I probably won't be back anytime soon... Here is why: Helen did my nails on 8/19 she did a fill because Tammy was super busy and the salon was packed with people. I can't always make appts because I have kids and getting a sitter is unpredictable. By 8/30 2 nails had broken and almost all had lifted. So I went back in to have Helen fix it, not really sure why they lifted and broke off. A week later they start lifting and at the 1 1/2 week mark they're almost half off.... again. I was referred here by my coworker who said the prices were really inexpensive. My technician was Tina, and I was really disappointed in the way she treated me. The end result of my nails was decent but she lacked in detail. I came in for a full acrylic set, coffin shaped, but most of the nails came out exremely crooked and uneven so I had to point it out to her so she could fix it. She complained in Vietnamese every time i pointed out a flaw. Tina was very rough and aggressive when it came to handling my nails. She didn't talk to me, smile, or make small talk to me like my technicians at other salons normally would. I didn't mention that I spoke vietnamese fluently because I wanted to see if she would say anything mean about me, and she did. While she was applying my acrylic, I was taking my time to choose out a gel color, but she told her coworkers that I was taking so long and it was giving her a headache which I thought was unnecessary because she wasn't even close to start coloring my nails. She secretly talked down on me calling me a little kid, crazy for "taking a long time to pick out a color", and was just flat out rude. She had no idea that I understood every word she was saying. About 3 times, she stopped what she was doing, pulled out her iphone, and made personal calls, making me wait even longer for her to finish my nails. Tammy waxed my eyebrows after I was done and she was soooo much friendlier. She did an amazing job too, and only charged me $5 for the wax. In total, I paid $38. $5 for the wax $25 for the full set $2 for the crooked coffin shape $6 for diamonds. (20 gems) I will never go back for Tina. Tammy for my brows, yes. read more

Now, I'm not like some of y'all ladies that need or like to go to a nail salon with all the bells and whistles available. Don't have a massage chair with the porcelain bowl for my pedicure?No problem, get cha stool and little bucket and fill that sucker with water AND A PLASTIC BAG PLEASE! And color me happy. That's how they roll here. I've been coming here since '10. An ex bf told me about this place and we use to come get our eyebrows done together haha and since then I've been a regular. I like to see Tammy for my nail and eyebrow services. She's the best one in my opinion for both waxing and nail work. She speaks to you,makes conversation and listens to what you want. This place got a face lift recently with nice aqua walls, a new tv, new work station and drying stations which really makes the place look a lot better. It's in a mini shopping mall next to a yum yum donuts. I've been to a lot of salons in the urban areas and seen a lot of go down but never seen any rumbles, drugs or trouble here unless you cut big mama in line like I did accidentally once. The first time I ever went to Tanya's I was pissed. I made an appointment and I was ok with waiting because I was like 15 minutes late... but I ended up waiting for an hour. On top of that, my manicurist was doing my manicure while she was doing someone else's so it took a total of 3 hours at that nail shop to get my gel manicure done. Aint nobody got time for that! But for my second experience, I came in on time for my appointment and had about a 10 minute wait and was out in a little over an hour for both a gel manicure and pedicure!! Moral of the story: make an appointment and arrive on time! Let them know you have an appointment right when you walk in so they can accommodate you first. They did an amazing job... probably the best mani/pedi quality I've received to date, and the price: unbeatable! $38 sans tip for GEL MANICURE and PEDICURE! Variety of colors for gel to choose from. They make recommendations that fit what you want without overly pushing you... aaand they even recommend cheaper options! I felt so bad because I didn't have cash on me and they only accept tip in cash. They accept credit card for payment though. BRING CASH FOR TIP! read more

I've heard of this place from a lot of my friends but never went in only because I'm all the way in eastlake. For me it's like living in Narnia because nothing is close to me, especially affordable nail places. Anyways, my friend and I came in on Wednesday around 6pm. It wasn't busy at all, I think we beat the rush hour because when we were half way done people started coming in. I got the acrylic set with regular nail polish which costed me $16. I liked the staff, they were really nice. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and a nice lady sat us down to talk prices because we had so many questions. They were patient and very thorough with what they were explaining to us. I was then called by another lady who had finished to do my nails. The only complaint was that they aren't really sanitary. I went to a beauty school so I'm use to places being state board sanitary. Anyways she didn't place a new towel down so pretty much my hands were laying on top of a table that had previously been used by another customer.. Pretty much the table had cuticle dead skin all over and my hands were laying on top. It was pretty gross, at least wipe it down. She used the same brush that was hanging on her lamp, and the same filer. Also I kind of wish they did a better job with the cuticles, like pushing them back or something. I do give her credit though she was really fast, although the way she cut my nails they were crooked. After my acrylics were glued she had me wash my hands and sit back down and I waited.. I waited for probably 15 mins as she went to start on someone new. Finally another lady (Tina) came and finished my nails. It was really fast!! She shaped them so nice, I was so happy! We talked and she smiled and laughed. Definitely would go to her because she knows what she's doing. I don't remember the lady who did my friends nails, wish I got it! But I would recommend her too because she took her time and didn't rush. (I'll find out her name) Overall mine and my friends experience was good! We definitely will be back. read more

I always forget to update my review for this place! I actually went back in today for a fill. It was my first time ever getting a fill, EVER. Because this was the first time my nails grew out and none of them have lifted and come off - amazing! My nails lasted a good 3 weeks, and some nails were still looking good - I really just wanted to get a polish change to match my dress for NYE. Tina's great! I brought in a picture of what I wanted, and she tried to accomodate my wants so that I stayed within my budget. The pedicure was OK, but both times the girls didn't cut my toenails short enough like I told them to do. I ended up cutting them shorter and re-polishing them when I got home.
