The service was very nice and efficient and the beer and food selections are very decent. One comment I have is that I would recommend simplifying the burger menu in terms of the ordering process and pricing. To get a 'standard' cheeseburger you have to use the 'build your own' (or something along these lines) option and the selections there are confusing, we actually needed a server to help us which should NOT happen if you're just trying to order a burger (which is a dish that's in the joint's name!). They have many TVs although not huge ones and they played football with decent audio which is very nice. I would mark this a spot for a nationally televised game next time. I would have tipped Twenty percent but when they add it on without saying a word it is so gross! They have lost my business and my guess is they are on the verge of going out of business anyway. We checked out Tap & Burger for the first time and went for an early dinner with our toddler. One of my favorite things about it is they have a really good selection of NA drinks- both beers and cocktails, and they were well priced. For food, we started with the pretzel bites and they were very good! They had tiny slices of jalapeño and the queso it's served with has a slight kick. We also got the burnt end sliders as an appetizer and those were also very delicious. For entrees, my husband had the Wagyu steakhouse burger which was tasty, while I had the southwest salad with grilled chicken. I'm staying at the hotel down the street, why not come here for food and beer; service from the bartender was a bit lagging, sure he needs to take care of his regulars first. Went with the green chili bowl that was extremely salty, otherwise fine. Also ordered the chicken hot honey as a wrap but took it to go. TV kept buffering so couldn't even enjoy the hockey game. What gets me is the automatic 20% fee on every check. I travel for work so I need 2 checks, food on a co card and one for beer. They add 20% to every check, no matter what. So for nothing, I was added 40% just cause I needed two separate checks for below mid service. I travel to half a dozen states and never see this. The burgers here are delicious. I would absolutely go back and eat here over and over again. I enjoyed everything about this restaurant and bar. There was a local artist who was playing guitar and singing cover songs and a few of his own songs which I enjoyed. I had the Bison Chimichurri Burger, and my date had the Classic Double Smash Burger. My burger was fantastic! It was cooked medium, the chimichurri was slappin, the harvest moon sesame bun complimented the bison patty, five stars. I know my date enjoyed his burger and I had a bite. It was definitely a fantastic smash burger. The waitress was brand new, but she was very helpful and she told us what she liked which is what I got the bison burger. Wow I really like this place. It seems to be pretty new. Not sure how long it has been around. Everything was extremely clean from the outside seating patio to the inside seating and the women's restroom. Everything was on point. I rarely leave negative reviews, but after two disappointing experiences in two days, I feel compelled to share my experience. On 6/11, a friend and I stopped by for a simple takeout order. We ordered two burgers priced at $18 each and were surprised to learn that a 10% service charge is automatically added to all bills, including to-go orders. By the time everything was totaled, we paid around $60 for two burgers. The food was average at best, but the mandatory service charge on a takeout order left a bad impression. Unfortunately, our experience today was even worse. Before ordering, our server informed us that the same 10% service charge would be added to the bill. To be clear, our server was great throughout the meal and was not the issue. The food, however, was extremely disappointing. The dishes arrived with ingredients that tasted underprepared and lacked seasoning or attention to detail. Everyone at the table took only a few bites before deciding the food simply wasn't enjoyable. For a bill totaling over $100 before tip for three entrées, the quality was nowhere near what we expected. When I respectfully brought my concerns to the manager, the conversation became frustrating. Rather than listening to the feedback, he was confrontational and repeatedly interrupted me. He spoke as though he knew exactly how the interaction at our table had gone despite not being present. The experience left us feeling dismissed rather than heard. Adding to that impression, I had seen him spending time on his phone at the host stand while guests were being served. The disappointing food would have been one thing, but the way the concerns were handled ensured we won't be returning. I've been to Tap & Burger four times now thanks to a networking meeting. I've tried the classic smash which is a double patty with American cheese, shaved onion, tomato, lettuce, pickle, their secret sauce on a harvest moon bun. Very tasty. Even with the double patty it is a bit small. I also tried the Tap House Smash and it is a filling burger. It has a lot of toppings and I added an extra patty so it was over the top. The BBQ pork burnt ends made it fairly sweet. I could taste the pork and beef but not the cheese or shaved and fried onion straws. I'm glad I tried it but wouldn't order it again. The first few times I did not see the lunch menu which is a great value. You get a entree, side and drink (upcharge for beer) for $12 before tax and tip. I went with the chicken bacon hot honey ranch wrap. It has a good kick and the chicken is grilled. They serve the drinks in large cups which is nice so you're not taking a few sips and then needing a refill. The servers have always been friendly and helpful. In particular Abby W has been the server twice and she is what you want in a server. She answers any questions I've had and is great at taking the order and getting food, drink and bill in an efficient manner. Kudos Abby. After a 5-year boycott from our last experience, we finally decided to try Tap & Burger again. We dropped in for HH last Friday (HH runs 2-6 MF and 5-9 on Sundays) and started with the house margaritas. These are really good, but a lot of ice. For my second drink, I had the house red which was really nice. Hubs had beer. For eats, we shared the loaded tots, and I had buffalo wings and Hubs had the classic smash burger. The smashburger is a total steal at $6 on HH. It's full-sized and delicious (ok, I had a bite!). The wings are enormous. Almost too big, actually. But they are delightfully prepared and I enjoyed them until I could eat no more. Tots are always a good idea. I don't know that having them loaded really enhanced my appreciation of them, but I still very much enjoyed eating them. Since it was clearly stated on the menu, plus our server mentioned it to us as well before picking up our check, doing so was quite acceptable. I took one star, because we felt that albeit the food was good, it was grossly overpriced. I had to take a second star away, since they are violating a Colorado law that prohibits pet dogs from being in an inside dining establishment. Health code does not allow that (see photo). read more

Well, the server notified us that DRW didn't start until 4pm. Whoops, I missed that on the website. Either was I was in for the espresso martini and smash burger so we stayed for lunch. I ordered the regular smash burger and added lettuce and tomato and instead of fries I got the mac n cheese as the side. Holy cow! The smash burger was huge, messy and delicious. It was so filling I only ate a few bites of the deliciously creamy cheesy mac n cheese. That worked out though because I was able to eat the mac for lunch the next day. It was that big of a portion. Tap and Burger has some great burgers, but are a bit overpriced for what you receive. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and are in a great little area right by Belleview station. We chose to sit outside because they were having trivia night when we were there and it was extremely noisy inside. Our server was super friendly and the food and drinks came out very quickly. The quality of the burger was fantastic. The price is really the only downside here. While it is a nicer restaurant the fact of the matter is, it is still a burger restaurant. Will we be back, yes. I've been to a few tap and burgers and always leave them underwhelmed. The appetizers are all things related to cheese (which I love and all - but no variety) - chips and Queso, nachos, pretzel with beer sauce then one flatbread and onion rings. The $12 soft pretzel had a lot of nuggets but they're generic nothing special frozen pretzel pieces with a super small container of cheese. Burgers are $16-19 so kinda steep and overall, just ok. Fries portion with the burgers is large. Craft beers are $8-9. We have the dining out passbook, otherwise we probably wouldn't be here. Dog friendly patio though so that's good ‍ read more
