I ordered the corned beef and cabbage (they allowed me to do it as take out but it's normally dine in apparently this year. ) I was very surprised when I arrived to find my two order plus a kids mac n cheese cost over $50?! The first time I came here, my daughter and I had a horrible time. Service was horrible, we were blatantly ignored and the food we ordered was thrown together and didn't look appetizing at all. Fast forward to yesterday. I was starving and it was the closest restaurant to me. So, I decided to give it a try before a huge upcoming meeting. Gonna try this place again. I wasn't a huge fan of what I ordered. They were out of bacon so half of our party couldn't get what they wanted. Out of bacon???!!! I will say. The white sangria and the red sangria were both really really good. It's awesome you can add CBD to any cocktail. The burger I got was the Cali cool ranch burger. I love cool ranch Doritos. We came after hearing about so many people we know loving it here, but I have to say that I have no idea why. We were very disappointed. We were sat at a table where the tables and chairs were filled with spider webs with dead bugs in them. We did ask to be sat outside and I understand that's where bugs live, but they didn't offer to clean it at all and also didn't give us anything we could use to clean it with ourselves. Gross. Between the four of us, we ordered beers and cocktails to drink. Those were good. To eat, we ordered the hot n spicy crispy chicken wrap, the tipsy stout burger, and the seared ahi tuna tacos. The wrap and tacos weren't bad, but they forgot to put cheese on the cheeseburger and it was quite dry. Two of us ordered the Mexican street corn as a side since it sounded good, but when it came out we discovered it wasn't Mexican street corn at all. Not only was it not what they advertised, but it was awful. We later got boneless wings and tots to go, and while the wings were okay the tots were terrible. Overall, this place is overpriced and does not make up for it. The service isn't great and the food is straight up bad. My friend and I went here and dined at their outdoor patio. There is plenty of seating options inside and outside. Their patio is dog friendly, too! Our server was very friendly and the food came out fast. We ordered the loaded tater "totchos". The cheese, beans, lettuce, corn, sour cream, and crispy fried tater tots was so good! It was hard to stop going back for more. We loved it! We both ordered a house salad with ranch dressing. The salad was full of fresh vegetables and was great. We also got the pom ginger limeade and it was so refreshing! It was sweet but not overly sweet or artificial tasting. Their prices are kinda high, but that is unfortunately a common thing now. So disappointed after ordering for pickup from here last night. After bringing our order home we saw that two items were missing so my husband had to drive back to get them. Then when he finally got home and we sat down to eat we saw that the fried avocado tacos had tortillas that were completely MOLDY. No question about it, green mold that they tried to cover up as you can see in the picture. We've eaten here plenty of times before and never had a terrible experience like this so I don't know if whoever was in the kitchen last night wasn't paying attention whatsoever or because of the pandemic not only did their prices go up but quality went down. But either way there's no excuse for them to be serving moldy tortillas. Now the two stars I did give are for the calamari and prime rib sandwich which were amazing. But I'm very hesitant to order from here again because of how they forgot not just one, but two items in our order and then we couldn't eat one item because of the mold. read more

Came here to try the Bourbon County Brand Stout (BCBS) on tap and they had Bramble Rye and Coffee Barleywine variants available. You get about 10oz for $15. I liked the creaminess and richness of the coffee and didn't really enjoy the sourness of the bramble. Staff here was nice and friendly. The booth seating was comfortable. I recently visited and the food was not good. I got a burger and fries and my wife got the same with tots. I ordered it medium and it came back looking like it had been under the heat lamp for hours and the fries were cold. My wife received fries when she asked for tots which is no big deal, but they brought out replacement tots immediately and no surprise - they were cold! They were obviously just sitting around for quite awhile. Also, my burger patty was really small. We used to go to the Plainfield Tap House quite a bit until it seemed like they started cheapening up their menu. They must have done it here in Oswego as well. I will never got back, and apparently a lot of other people feel the same way because we went on Friday night and they were dead - maybe 25% full. It is a shame that places are cutting back on portions and quality while still elevating prices. Pretty sure this location will be out of business soon. Here is a tip for you Tap House in Oswego - wait to cook the fries until the main dish is ready and if an order gets screwed up from the wait staff, make fresh piping hot replacements and maybe you won't get a bad review online. Also, when you make burgers make a decent size patty. You need to give customers a quality hamburger when you charge $15 to $20 bucks. I am tired of shrinkflation. Oh, one more thing. Don't do the digital check out. I hate that. Why should I be checking myself out? Why do I have to the servers job? Dine in | Brunch | $30-50 Easter brunch: was expecting a little more than what was not very nicely presented. Prime rib overcooked and dry. Salmon overcooked and dry. Ham overcooked and dry. Was that the first time they ever made prime rib??? Or salmon?? Bacon, sausage, eggs, french toasts and pancakes kind of ok. Potatoes were good. But any breakfast place serves that and better. I guess when I think Easter brunch I think a much nicer presentation than just putting all of it in chafing dishes and not replenishing them for guests. Took for ever for waiters to bring food when it was empty. Huge fruit bowl, guests had to take more of because they run out of sweets and never brought more while lots of people did not even try any. So basically very disappointing for $37.00 a person. Our bill $420.00, not worth half honestly. We all were expecting more from Tap House in Oswego. To say the least we never thought that after an Easter brunch at 10 am, we would think about having lunch elsewhere... needless to say never again. We've eaten at their Oswego location twice and also been here for a gingerbread house decorating event a few years ago. The gingerbread house event was fun for our kids when they were small. I would recommend it if they still do it which I'm not sure of. The food the 2 times we ate here was an odd combination of too much salt and no flavor blandness between 5 people ordering different things each time (fish tacos, wings, burgers, cheese curds, etc) The staff is ok but not doing anything above the basics expected, including trying to be friendly. Overall we were not impressed. We also went to the Plainfield location once and the food experience was similar. We give up and will not be returning. 2 stars for the gingerbread house event during the holidays which we went to several years ago when we first found the place. read more

I'm so upset writing this. I have done a lot trying to support local restaurants during a pandemic and it's really upsetting that I spent $70 in takeout here and they sell me old food. I ordered cheese curds, I've never seen cheese curds so badly executed. They were so hard you couldn't even bite them and look like they had dried hard oil on them. I order ahi tuna on a bed of fresh lettuce, it came on rice instead and the ahi tuna did not have the red center as it should have and tasted spoiled. I also ordered the ahi tuna tacos with the same bad fish. The only thing that was edible were the pot stickers and Mac and cheese. I went to Tap House for the first time tonight for a date night. We were excited to try a new restaurant since we just moved into the area. We started with drinks. I got the red sangria and the pomegranate mule. Both drinks were delicious and strong :) As for an entree, I got the beer-battered chicken melt with tots. It was delicious! The service was attentive and quick. However, I rated it a 4 because I think the prices are a bit expensive for just tavern food. We definitely plan to come here again. They seem to have great deals and specialties. Seems like a great place to watch sports games or grab a quick drink! read more

How do you mess up a salad? When my food got to the table I thought something looked "off". Ordered a $15 southwest shrimp salad and it was missing the corn salsa, avocado and the tomatoes . So pretty much everything that makes it "southwest" was missing. The waitress takes my plate back to the kitchen to fix the problem . She returns and this time she tells me they ran out of corn. I just told her to forget it as I was already starving at this point. Considering the fact that the menu is limited due to the pandemic you would think they would have enough product in stock. My kids meals were pathetic to say the least. A dry cheeseburger and 6 grapes for $8 and a tiny quesadilla with brown, mealy apple slices for another $8. Lower the prices, close shop, or provide some quality. So much for me supporting small businesses. read more

I enjoyed this meal with my family. First of all, the place was CLEAN. I did not use the restroom so I cannot speak to that. Several appetizers had been ordered and the servers kept the table cleared, but with everything you would still need for the appetizers. The appetizers were good. We had 3 to 4 appetizers for 12 to 15 people. Dinner was hit and miss. I did the fish and chips which were excellent. The fish was crisp with no fishy taste at all. My iced tea was kept full throughout the meal. I really enjoyed my meal, my leftovers, and the great conversation. My husband got the pub burger, medium well. His hamburger bun was burned on one side, actually scorched. I asked why he didn't say anything. He said,"I don't want to be a bother and for these prices, should I have to?" He had a point. This is not the cheapest place in the world to eat and one would not expect a scorched burger at this price point. Everyone enjoyed themselves and because my husband wouldn't say anything the server had no chance to rectify the situation. Everyone else enjoyed their meals. I've been to this location on several occasions and I've always been fairly impressed. This place has a great selection of beers, a HUGE menu, daily specials, and their staff has always been awesome. We dropped in as a party of 9 a few nights back and had Bethany as our waitress. She was very attentive, patient with all our little ones, and didn't miss a beat. Great job Bethany - keep it up! My only complaint, and it's a minor one, is the buffalo chicken sandwich is crazy hot. Like, spicy hot. Like, too spicy hot to enjoy. I didn't say anything at the time, I muscled through it. And by muscle I mean I wept uncontrollably. My good buddy I was with confirmed that he too thought the same on prior visits and actually apologized for not warning me. Some friend right? So.. Last night was my third visit to this location and I was again happy with my experience. It's been busy each time I've gone and everyone seems to be enjoying themselves. The staff last night was helpful and friendly and running around like crazy! They definitely had some hustle yesterday They have daily specials (all good deals) and the beer list changes often so you have a lot of choices. Here's a quick overview of what I/we've had there in the past: Wings - pretty good! We got the grilled once and they were soggy but that could have been a one time issue Mac n Cheese - large portion, very cheesy and delicious. We brought the rest home Fried pickles - pretty good - there aren't that many in the order but they're larger slices. The sauces are good as well Bruschetta - not a traditional bruschetta (this has lettuce and celery??) but the flavors are good and the balsamic they use is delicious Cheese Curds - delicious! Peanut Butter Bacon Burger - definitely one of my favorites. I think they could put less peanut butter (there's so much the burger patties slide off of each other lol) and more bacon jam - I'm not sure my last burger even had any bacon jam? And if the cooking staff is reading this I beg you, season you burger patties! Every burger we've had needs salt/pepper while it's cooking! THG Stuffed Burger - pretty good - we had it last night and it was very cheesy and messy (in a good way). I'm not sure I got much heat from the jalapenos but again, might be a one time situation Pork tacos - not bad. They were smaller than we thought they'd be for the price - you do get a lot of meat, though. The slaw didn't have much flavor but the meat was tasty and the best for last Chocolate Caramel Donuts - although now I realized we were jipped and there was no caramel sauce on ours last night (bummer!) - regardless, they are warm, fluffy and so, so delicious. I wish I could give zero stars because that's how much effort they put in to my visit. I stopped in on a Sunday afternoon. They had football playing on every TV. The sign by the front door says "wait to be seated" so my wife and I waited while three people argued over who's turn it was to seat us (none of them wanted to do it, this should have been a red flag as to the service they were offering that day). He took us to a sticky table in the corner of the main room and informed us our waitress would be with us shortly. 15 minutes later we walked out. No greeting. No waters. No order taken. No waitress. There was only one other table with a couple at it and the bar had four seated there watching the games. Lack of service couldn't possibly be blamed on the restaurant being too busy. I went out of my way to go there that day and was completely ignored. I guess they can have one star for accidentally being the reason I found a real nice sandwich shop down the street from them after I got tired of waiting. I won't be back. read more
