Went to tap plastic to get a project done for the house with the plastic acrylic sheets I had Ashley J help me and my husband and she was very helpful and very friendly she went out of her way to make sure that we were fully satisfied with the project. TAP Plastics. The Fantastic Plastic Place. I've always heard their commercials when listening to baseball games but I never thought I'd ever visit one. Until I started working and realized that plastic is easily one of the best materials for any kind of mechanical project. I had a project that needed to be done quickly, and this branch did not disappoint. My order was taken by the manager, Gretchen. The process was as smooth as it gets. I sent in a sketch, they gave me a quote (and a useful material cost and labor breakdown), and I approved. I expected the box within one week, but they got it to me within 5 days! When I came in to pick up my order, I also ordered some additional pieces to be cut, and it was done quickly and accurately. They also provided recommendations based on the application of my project and modified my ordered pieces accordingly. I'm very pleased with the service that they provided. I live in Fremont and have used Tap Plastics in Fremont for years and have always enjoyed good quality, suggestions, and pricing, however I recently brought in a simple (8 minute) job on a Sat morning, and was told they couldn't get it done until Tuesday? I told them I can't get there by 5:PM during the week, so would have to come back the next Sat. 'morning', and when I did, they said it would be done by the end of the day? So I had to go back again another week later, and the holes weren't even straight? Poor Service, Poor Quality, Lousy Pricing, and the employees have terrible attitudes. Had a vintage character clock I bought on Ebay but it had no plastic battery cover. Tsp Plastics in Fremont was able to think of a way to draw the pattern of the odd shaped piece and cut the plastic to size. They're so clever! Cool plastic items in the store to purchase too. read more

This review is overdue...so glad this particular Tap Plastics is in our community/neighborhood. We've relied on them for all our custom plastic needs. Staff is always cheerful and helpful, but more important, knowledgeable! This time Ashley helped hubby on a fish tank cover. She offered advice on how to approach the custom-cut cover and ensured the little things didn't get overlooked, such as sanding/smoothing the cut edges, rounding the corners so humans don't get poked, and added a little handle to enable maneuverability. It took only 20 minutes to get the fish tank lid/cover finished. It looks so sleek on top of our tank! Hubby is very happy with the result. read more

They have some pretty neato stuff here. My husband and I got a few feet of the R10s (fake mirror-like material) here for our bathroom and finished off their stock of magnetic sheet for my husband's race numbers. They also have this huge roll of double sided tape I almost added to my 'collection' of adhesives but had to resist. The sales dudes were very helpful too. Needed a piece of 3/8 plastic cut to size, with hole in center, for a/c vent. San Jose store was so busy they couldn't get it done for 3 weeks. Joe at San Jose called Fremont. He said Gretchen (the mgr) told him they could do it by next Tuesday. Gretchen and Ashley at Fremont were fantastic. Measure twice, cut once, and had it done in 20 MINUTES!! Regular plastics store with the usual faire of sheet and other plastics, adhesives, etc. Where these guys are good is in customer service. They will do simple cutting for little or no charge above the price of the sheet. read more

I ordered 2 sheets of cracked ice light covers on 12/22/17. They did not have any in house so they ordered it and would cut the size I wanted when shipment came in. Never heard from them so I called on 1/22/18. The young man (Isaac) took my order on 12/22/17. He says he called me and it was in, and come about 11 am on 1/23/18. I never received a message, but I went in at 11 as he asked. Got there and they had never even cut the order I wanted. How can you claim you called a customer and left message the order was ready, when it was not even cut yet. Not very good customer service. Not good to lie to your customers. read more
