Our niece threw a party for her husband's 40th birthday. We had the upstairs bar area and room. The service was really good, staff was attentive to the people at the bar making sure they had what they needed. Platters of shrimp were on the bar and delicious. Dinner was a buffet and all the food was really good and there was plenty of it. Especially, the fried Mac and cheese balls. It was a very relaxed atmosphere. The tap room is growing on me. My friends go here a lot for their craft beers. I do like how they have big high tops near bar w bench seating. Outside and more tables in back. I finally had lunch here, there was 6 of us. Mussles, steak sandwich, and wraps were ordered. They came out on cute wooden cutting boards and I must say the presentation was good. I got the Buffalo chicken wrap. It was def above average. Very tasty. Their dessert menu looked so good! Very relaxed atmosphere late night, mixed in ages. Live music, easy to listen to. Love this little spot, on the extreme western edge of Patchogue's downtown strip. You could easily pass this place by, as it doesn't look like anything special, but it kind of is. The beer selection is excellent, broken up into a 3 separate 'towers" one of which is justly strictly devoted to the pride of the village, Bluepoint Brewery. All of the beers are discounted to 3 bucks during happy hour, and thats pretty damn hard to beat. The bartenders are cool as hell and have mastered the art of mixing it up with the customers, particularly the young lady from Shirley whose name escapes me at the moment. Haven't tried the food, as I'm usually full from Bobbique when coming here, but have heard its pretty decent. All and all one the place is one of the best choices you can make on the downtown strip and yet another reason I loudly and frequently declare Patchogue to be LIs undisputed top drinking town, and most likely its coolest town period. read more

They have a really nice selection of tap beers. We had muscles ($5 happy hour special), and they were fantastic! My wife had a burger and it was great! They have a nice seating area outside, so I'm looking forward to going back in the spring to hang out there and watch a Mets game. read more

Awesome management! Placed an online order that didn't register through their printers so when I got there my order wasn't ready. They made me a drink while I waited and sent me off with a free dessert for the mess up that wasn't their fault anyway. Food is great as always! read more

So so happy my boyfriend and I decided to try this place! It was a nice day so we decided to sit outside. Our waitress was very nice and attentive and the food was amazing!! We luckily decided to go on a Tuesday and to our surprise they were having 5 dollar burgers (8 dollars for speciality burgers). I got the burger wrap with sweet potato fries and my boyfriend got their standard burger with fries I'm pretty sure. Everything was fantastic! We truly loved our food, worth every penny. Before our food came out it was taking a little while longer than usual for them (we didn't even notice) and without asking they brought us out an appetizer portion of onion rings on the house. Go here almost every Tuesday for the burger special. Their food is always fantastic and the fries are the best in patchogue but the wait can get very tedious. Although you can expect to wait a good 25 mins for your food, it is worth the wait. Would've been 5/5 stars but the wait can get annoying, especially when there aren't many others in the restaurant at certain times. Great staff great food 4/5 read more

Music is soo loud you have to shout to have the bartender and servers hear you. It's sooo loud you can't have conversation without getting on top of someone.Even without the ambien noise it's wayyy too loud. Mixed drinks are basic no flare they get the job done. No complaints about food. read more

For a guy who prefers to spend $7.00 a beer, over a $3.00 bud special, this place is great. It's a place where your drink and bar food desires can be met. The problem is the vibe of the place. The jukebox is blinking with the ability to make the place your own, but the iPod tends to play boring music. I've put my fair share of money into it, but once my $ is used up, back to the iPod again. It's not the fault of the place, but simply speaking of the vibe. It feels like a very diverse crowd of mostly men. Granted I've never been in here late night, but from what I've seen it's just a jumble of personalities. The bathrooms of the establishment need some renovations. Close to the kitchen, and back door, I tend to become turned off when I have to use the men's room. My boyfriend and I had our first date at the tap room. They have craft beers from all over the country that are terrific. Most of the time if you are struggling to select a beer, your server will give you a great recommendation. If you have trouble choosing just one you can always pick a flight of multiple beers. This restaurant has great appetizers, but not an expensive dinner menu. They have trivia nights and live music often so is a nice place to bring your friends. They have a great night life and generally limit how many people can enter the bar at one time.This is in a great location in Patchogue and is somewhere you should definitely check out. read more

Delicious food, but we sat outside (really nice little outside area) and the waiter was a young guy, tall and thin- barely came to our table. Long wait times between each visit, empty drinks, took awhile to even order, other tables around us were getting their appetizers and they came after us by the time he remembered us and took our drink and appetizer order. Where I was sitting I could see him going inside and talking to other employees and pulling his phone out and I just couldn't figure out why he forgot us. Maybe just an off day. But again, the food is delicious and we'll be back and just hope not to deal with the poor service again! read more

This is our go to spot. Chicken fingers off the chain. Burgers and mac n cheese balls will give you a heart attack, but are worth dieing over. Super fast even at 1am. Which is great, considering you can drown in drinks prior. You will need to soak them up with some good food. Door man is huge but so kind and knowledgeable about the area. read more

So I've been to The Tap Room many times, and each time I've had a different experience. I came here on a Friday night and sat upstairs in the new add on to the bar. If you go up the stairs right next to the entrance, there is more space and a second bar with more tables for seating. The space is cozy and they had live music playing (which was a bit loud considering the small space). They open up the balcony doors in the summer which is really nice. The group I was with decided to sit at the bar and it gets pretty busy on a Friday night but there were a few seats available. I ordered the banana bread beer and it was really delicious - not a stout like I had expected, but a little bit lighter. The staff is friendly but not super attentive. Tap Room also has a pretty nice beer selection. I'll be back here the next time I'm in the area. read more

Place is great one of the nicer places on the strip it's more towards the west side of Main Street so it's actually easier to find parking and less crowded outside food is unbelievable great drinks and the people that work there is always seem nice and polite. Went to the Tap Room on a Saturday afternoon, we took the baby which sometimes could be an ordeal at restaurants but the staff here was so accommodating. They gave us a nice table in the back so we weren't too close to the bar crowd. Our waitress was awesome, very attentive but not overbearing and so sweet to our daughter. She had the kitchen make a special small order of plain boneless wings for her which she loved. Not sure how many kids they actually get here, but they might find it handy to just add a permanent kids portion section to the menu. Like mini versions of some menu items. The classic wings my husband and I split were awesome, crispy and just the right amount of spice. They weren't drenched in sauce which I liked. My husband had a burger which he enjoyed allot and the waitress was spot on saying that the short rib grilled cheese was the best because it was amazing. Cheesy, beefy and the side of mac and cheese balls brought it to the next level. Side note they usually would put them right on the sandwich and I asked for them to be on the side. Fries were killer too and they had a great selection of tap beers. Definitely want to come back here to try the rest of their menu. If only the service was good I'd give the place 5 stars. It's a shame since the food is great. My boyfriend and I usually come here but order drinks at the bar which isn't really an issue but every time we get a table and wait to get service I can say we always leave disappointed. No one comes to the table unless you request someone or get up and ask for someone to come over to help. Then they usually take a few extra minutes after they promise to be right over. Other than the fact they take your order without writing anything down and try to guess it when they ring it in. Such a shame since their food is 5 stars read more
