Good food. A lot of beers. Last time I was there I had the short ribs. There worth a try.

Went to Taphouse with my boyfriend after a late night of work on a Sunday. We sat at the bar area in a near-empty restaurant and were immediately greeted by the bartender. The beer list was to die for and full of fun and unique beers that are hard to find elsewhere. I had the Rodenbach Alexander aged in oak foeders and it was the best sour beer I've ever had. It was tart like a sour, but simultaneously sweet and smooth. My boyfriend liked it so much that he ordered it as his next beer! My only complaint was that the price was a little high for the size of the pour, even for such an expensive beer. I ordered the Fig and Pig pizza and my boyfriend ordered the Short Rib Grilled Cheese. Our food came out pretty quickly and we were impressed! The pizza had bacon, fig jam, arugula, and shaved parmesar.. The sweet and salty played really well together and the arugula freshened it all up. The grilled cheese was really good, but the tomato fondue dipping sauce it came with was lacking in flavor. The manager and bartender behind the bar were both very nice and helpful! We kind of overstayed our welcome and were the last couple in the bar, but they weren't pushy to get us out. Can't wait to return! read more

What can I say about my dinner tonight? I'm struggling to find words. I was left speechless. I have come in the past, a couple different times, at different intervals since opening. My first time was underwhelming. What I find endearing is that the restaurant refused to settle. They tried recipes, saw how they worked or didn't, and continued to strive. I didn't take pictures tonight, but the Fig and Pig pizza I got was perfection. If there is a way to get Unami pizza, this was it. Salty, sweet, acidic, with just a touch of fat and tart. I was struggling to not eat it all so that I could bring some home and savor the remainder on my couch before bed. I'm not ashamed. Also, our waitress was phenomenal. Personable but not in our faces. We came here for drinks and dinner after work. The service was top notch. The place was packed however that never stopped us from feeling like a top priority. Our waiter did a wonderful job and a few others came by to check in which was nice for a place that just opened. We never felt rushed in anyway and able to enjoy our evening. They did a great job with the decor and layout of this place. There is a mix of seating options from quieter areas, the bar, and spots to watch a sports game on TV. They have a great selection of beers and mixed drinks. I tried a few of them and they were all very good from the cheesecake martini which was a nice sweet drink to the green tea representing a smooth and relaxing cocktail. Overall the menu had a nice variety. They have a brick oven so made some pretty good pizza. Happy hour specials would have been nice maybe that's to come! read more

I was expecting something very different when I stopped in for lunch yesterday. One friend had called it an upscale TGIFridays. My biggest fear was that even though they called it a Taphouse they ere going to four pr five mediocre selections. Well all my concerns were unfounded. This place is an absolute home run. Starting with the very upscale decor. The place is beautiful, spacious and light so different from the New Orleans house it replaces. Then there is the tap... TWENTY FOUR great selections!! plus what looks to be another 50 bottles!! Now the menu. Yes it's bar food... but it is very creative bar food. I had the Smokehouse Burger- (BBQ Beef Brisket, Cheddar Cheese, Coleslaw) sure a little pricey at $14... but not in this upscale environment. My wife had the Fun Guy Burger (Grilled Portobello Mushroom, Fontina Cheese, Garlic Aioli) and loved it. It is as good a burger as I have ever had... a light char on the outside and perfectly medium rare on the inside... that isn't easy to do! Great fries too! The kitchen is fast. The place was hopping for lunch an our burgers were out in a flash. I imagine the pizzas take a little longer. I can't wait to com back and try one. Thin crust pizza is another art form and glancing at other tables it looks like they have mastered it. I'm truly shocked by the 1 star reviews for this place... most of them contain the phrase... "it was great BUT"... you can't give a place 1 star if your review contains the word great and you can't give a bad review because you wanted the rjetausrant to be something different! I would only give 4 stars as the service wasn't perfect and you really have to be above and beyond for 5 stars... but I am giving 5 stars to offset those ridiculous 1 star reviews. This place is great. Everyone was happy in that room... including the staff. The parking lot has been full since they opened... I guess thats the best review of all! read more

This has to be one of the best places we have visitors while in this area. We stopped in for beers and our server, offered up some exceptional advice. I got the Short Rib Grilled cheese with onion rings and my friend got the Jam Burger with Brussel sprouts. Both of us took advantage of their great beer selection. I went here on a Friday night for a friend's birthday. First of all, the decor is lovely---very bright and modern. There's a general bar area and some booths near the bar area. There's another area that has quieter seating. We had the seating by the bar area. It was a bit loud, but I'm guessing that if we inquired, we could have been moved to a quieter spot. Good beer list with a mixture conventional beers and craft beers. Taphouse offers flights too, which is always welcome. Our waiter was attentive and checked in with us frequently (but not too much to the point where it would be annoying). Food was good. I had the apple/brie grilled cheese with fries. The meal was delicious! My friend had a burger and fries-- presentation could've been a bit nicer. She ordered the burger medium rare and it came out significantly more cooked than she wanted. After speaking with waiter, the burger was taken off our bill. Later, the manager came to our table and gave us a $10 gift card for future visit. Taphouse clearly is out there to please its customers. Overall, I would try Taphouse 15 again. My only issues with the place are as follows: 1) I do feel that the food portions are small. If I went back with my husband, I know that he would need nachos or some other app, in addition to a burger or whatever other fare he ordered as an entree. 2) They had a DJ on the night we went to Taphouse. first off, this establishment's facebook page had "reviews" and "likes" two solid weeks before they even opened ! I visited 1 week after their actual opening. the interior is fantastic, both in space and decor. lots of TV screens. friendly staff. parking lot has been nearly full every time since their actual opening, so be prepared for that. beer selection is pretty good, though the staff weren't well versed in what they had. they were similarly inexperienced in the operation of the TVs. hopefully both of these improve shortly. the food is slightly overpriced, and nothing special taste-wise. this location is ripe for a very successful establishment, as there is nothing similar anywhere nearby. it is slick, and perhaps too slick. it may flourish, simply because the locals don't know what a true beer garden is supposed to be like. read more

Tried Taphouse 15 last night for the first time since it opened. A good friend of ours was to perform there so we decided to go have dinner and see his show. Although the parking lot was pretty packed at 830pm we were able to find a spot to park. The place was jamming as I have heard since it opened and we expected a lengthy wait for a table which was indeed the case when we checked in. It was well worth the 50min wait. We got some drinks at the bar and waited in the bar area. The hostesses at the front desk were very welcoming and friendly and explained their wait process by taking your cell number and they text you with updates on your table! We finally were able to get a nice cozy booth in the bar area right near where the entertainment was setting up. Our waiter Mark was extremely friendly and efficient. We decided to order drinks and apps. They have an amazing beer list of bottled and tap beer. I enjoyed my wine as well! The apps we ordered were excellent. Deviled eggs , which I love and are rare to find on a menu. They were made with a nice mustard and a tiny piece of bacon on top w a baby gerkin pickle. We also tried the pork taquitos. Great flavor and dipping sauce. Our entrees were top notch as well. I ordered the hanger steak. It was prepared exactly how I ordered it as medium rare and was accompanied with potato au gratin and a vegetable medley. My husband had the smokehouse burger and he said it was amazing! We were so full from everything we ordered so I cannot report on dessert but I would guess that would be good also! We will definitely be back! Great food, great service. Went on a Sunday night around 8:30 and it wasn't super busy. My three friends and I were sat right away and our drinks came out quickly. The food was all delicious. We ordered the bang bang wings, deviled eggs (which were perfectly smokey) and the short rib pizza as appetizers. Our entrees were the mushroom ravioli, widow Jane whiskey ribs (fall off the bone tender) and the chicken and waffles. The portions were enormous, and we left completely stuffed with leftovers. Of course we couldn't leave without dessert, and ordered the salted caramel brownie (SUPER fudgy) and the red velvet waffle. Tried this place for a light dinner on Dec 31 around 5pm. Nice inviting decor but the chairs in the dining room are too low. Felt like I needed a booster seat! We ordered the hummus and pizza with beef brisket topping. Hummus was a little salty. Pizza was good but hardly any beef brisket on our pizza. Also beef brisket had barbecue sauce on it and I didn't expect or want that! Our server was not good. She never came back to check on us until we were done! She was not friendly either. I will keep this simple, the food was really good! I was impressed with the decor especially since I had been to it's predecessor ( RIP New Orleans steakhouse) so that was my first pleasant surprise and after reading some yelp reviews I didn't have great hopes, but maybe other yelpers are really picky because this place is a solid 4 stars in my opinion. Let me tell you what we had, mushroom bruschetta for the app, an interesting app that I loved. The chicken and waffles, total win and the red beans and rice dish was just really tasty. I'll give the positive first they have a great beer selection. We had a hour and 10 min wait not the 40/45 minutes we were told. The waitress was very good I wish I could say the same for the food. We stopped here tonight as a result of bizarre coincidence. I called on the way not wanting to keep help late and even though the website said they serve until ten I was told they were serving food until 10:30. We sat down at the bar and were greeted with a warm welcome and did not feel we were imposing being so late. Our bartender was very attentive. He made me an amazing lemon drop martini. You can tell the staff is well trained. Upon ordering he also recommended a different salad that I hadn't noticed on the menu. It was spot on! The clam appetizer was delicious as well. Excellent meal! As as side note I noticed something that led me to believe that this restaurant is very accommodating to their employees. OH WELL, went back to see r new buddy Mark the server, and we were told he was no longer working there, really made my kids & I disappointed , anyway since we were there , we figured why not,,,and of course it was right back to a BAD experience, our server (who we never even got his name) was the worst of them all, we waited at least 10 minutes for him to approach us, and when he did, he was sweating like a pig, and acting weird. he kept rambling on about the food, and the ingredients as if we cared. after taking r order he disappeared and we never saw him again, until we flagged another server to get us the check, actually food was not the worst, but not good either,,,BUT with service this bad, my family and I , and anyone else we can convince will never come to TAP HOUSE AGAIN. This is such a great spot with an extensive beer selection and a good wine selection as well. The waiter staff are extremely personable and attentive catering to your every needs. Our first time here we were served by George who is extremely professional, knowledgeable and polite, he always greeted us every time we visited. My friend and I shared the Brussels with Cheetos on it; sounds weird but I've had a similar thing at a place in Morristown but they stopped making it. It's in a cheesy sauce and didn't let down. Sounds like a weird combo but you will not be disappointed. As a main meal I got the brisket sandwich = . My friend got the cubanito panini and it was just as good. I'm sure everything is great. I got a glass of cab sav wine and she got sav blanc and it was delish. So much to choose from. The only drawback I have to say is MAKE A RESERVATION. This is a cute place to enjoy a nice date. I ordered the grilled cheese brisket sandwich. The presentation was quite lovely. The taste of the food was quite disappointing. It was missing flavor. The cheese sauce didn't appeal to my taste buds at all. My husband did enjoy his 'old fashion' beverage. He also said his country fried chicken sandwich was mediocre at best. He said it definitely looked better than it tasted. The dessert menu looked quite enticing. However, I was too stuffed to have anything more. I always enjoy the food and beer selection. Trivia nights are fun too. It's always a great experience and the staff is friendly.

Only 3 stars for the service, which is good. Been here 3 times, and i dont think there will be a 4th. The food is very, very salty. The mac and cheese was almost inedible. The meatloaf special wrapped in bacon the same. The short rib parfinalle reminded me of Hamburger Helper - in my opinion the sweet potatoes had no place on this plate. Not what i expected. Apparently the chicken and waffles are good but it's boneless chicken breasts which I think is strange, and not what I would expect from Chicken and Waffles. Plenty of beers avail, but be careful... some are upwards of $28 per glass so make sure you're looking at the price and the description. Waited tonight for over an hour for a table. Good for them. Happy they are doing well, but i think i'll let others enjoy it from here on out. read more

Nice and spacious however food was NOT GOOD. We started with the Cheetos Brussels sprout appetizer, which was literally roasted Brussels sprouts with cheese whiz-type sauce and a handful of Cheetos. The place is nicely remodeled from the old place. Food is average. Chef unwilling to accommodate simple requests which left a bad impression on us. The burgers and sandwiches are a wide variety and their pizza is brick oven and tasty. The Cuban sandwich though was so drenched in spicy mustard it wasn't edible as presented. The vegan impossible burger is delicious. The staff is friendly. The place is clean. The bathroom has a changing table for diaper changes. I've searched yelp and Google for vegan food in the area and nothing shows up. Baby decided he needed a break and we pulled in the parking lot and went in by chance because it was the closest parking lot. Pleasantly surprised... We really enjoyed this place. 5 pm on a Friday was great timing before the rush. Lots of good happy hour deals from 4-6 such as half price pizza, $4 house wine, beer specials etc. We shared the fried calamari start. A very generous appetizer. The squid was very lightly fried and a good thing because the squid itself was delicate with great texture. In hindsight I might have asked for the sauce on the side. It was a sweet/spicy sticky sauce. For me, less would have been more, but he hubs loved it. I chose the fish tacos and they did not disappoint. Three large tacos with batter fried cod, onion, coleslaw and a siracha style aoli. The cod perfectly cooked. I could only finish two and the hubs was more than happy to polish off the third. It was served with a side of fresh guacamole and corn chips. He had one of the specials of the night, chicken caprese with a twist. 2 generous pieces of chicken breasts panko fried and topped with grilled eggplant and arugola salad. Cooked to perfection! Half came home! This entree could have easily been shared. A rare time where quality did mot suffer for quantity. Service at this time of the evening was spot on, friendly and attentive. For a shared appetizer, 2 generous entrees, two glasses of wine and two beers our check was about $70 before tip. For the quality and service, we felt the price was appropriate and we would be regulars here if we lived in the area. read more

You basically get the whole chicken! The deviled eggs are delicious as well. We decided as entrees to get the short ribs, chicken and waffles and mushroom ravioli. If I could give 0 stars I would. Upon arriving we were told our party of 8 did not have a reservation when we made it a week prior. after waiting 35 mins we finally got seated. Waiter took our drink order but informed us the bar was backed up so it would take a while... the appetizers were decent. Dinner on the other hand was a different story. One of the burgers came out frozen in the center.. And one of the steaks came out completely raw. absolutely disgusting. When the manager took it from the table she said she wouldn't have eaten that.. SO WHY SERVE IT? the pork tenderloin was dry but edible. And the dessert was something else... Over priced.. Management came over to our table 2-3 times without apologizing... The kitchen and bar area need to get a system and figure it out definitely will not be back here... read more
