The side of Caesar salad is massive & very delicious I love the cheese crisps of parmesan, highly recommend!! The lobster bisque is absolutely devine!!!!!! Love love love the breading on top, and the creamy soup, unfortunately there was a total of 2 chunks of lobster in the soup though! My main was the stracotto & ravioli, it sounded appealing but when it arrived an hour later it was like a TV dinner with dry ass beef chunks! If you love a pot roast just get this then! My partner ordered mushroom ravioli and we both enjoyed this more with a creamy cheesy sauce that tasted like Alfredo sauce from Olive Garden that I cleaned the plate off with my bread that they served for both! My extra dirty martini was very strong possibly to hide the bland flavor of my food, I would def give their other dishes a try another time, but the decor of the place is beautiful and chill, and the people definitely make it worth a long while!

Not long after we were seated, a family with a very upset, screaming child was seated directly behind us. Our outstanding server, Garrett, immediately recognized the situation and kindly moved us to a quiet corner table in another room. That thoughtful gesture made all the difference and truly elevated our experience. The restaurant itself is full of charm, with cozy, beautifully decorated dining rooms that create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The bar area is especially stunning and worth taking a moment to admire. Every dish we ordered was delicious, but the standout was the praline caramel cake. My husband said it was one of the best desserts he's had in years--and I couldn't agree more. We can't wait to return!

The outdoor patio is breathtaking! So much greenery--it does not feel like you're in Kentucky. They've been around for 40+ years!! Our waitress was fantastic. Super helpful with the menu, prompt, and friendly. She recommended perfect wines based on our preferences and meal. Now for the food. Everything was perfectly executed. Nothing lacked flavor and presentation was beautiful. Their house chips with caviar are actually amazing! I could eat a whole plate of these. Loved the beets and fried green tomatoes too! The scallop entree was the best scallop dish I've ever had! The couscous side was perfect with it. The pork chop was cooked perfectly and the chicken was well seasoned. Desserts were great too! They make many of them in house. I'm a sucker for key lime pie and theirs was a 10/10. The chocolate cake, praline cake, and pot de creme were wonderful. If I had to pick a favorite from each category it would be caviar chips, scallops, and key lime pie! You have to check this place out! I only wish I knew about it sooner.

Pre-lockdown review…read more I have no idea if this is the correct listing. I tried to check and see which biz listing made the most sense re my experience and there were two to choose from. Oh, Yelp. In any event, this is the wine bar (store) on Douglass. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about even if the platform is a bit confused. It was a late-fall Thursday when a friend and I decided to catch up over a glass of wine. It had been a minute since I spent time in this part of town and was dubious about reports of a parking lot. I arrived early to park on the street (not at a meter) and made my way inside. I arrived just as the bar was opening and made some small talk with the barkeep. I claimed a table and made my way through the space -- looking at bottles and admiring the collection. My friend arrived and I sat her at our table.* Walking up to the bar area, I noticed the prices (high) and selection (curated and not very big). Taking my friend's lead, I opted for a syrah and kept it moving. The pour was generous (appreciated), the wine was dry with a surprising floral forwardness and the glass was impressive (I have a thing for glassware). We brought our wine back to the table** and commenced to catching up. I found myself very taken with the vibe of the bar. The tables are hidden throughout the space which lends to privacy and with every table surrounded by different bottles, it adds to a unique experience no matter where you sit. I liked it.*** *Despite having a jacket and bag (sans expensive items in it), a woman tried to lay claim to the table. I know I've been gone a while but I'm pretty sure I'd left the universal sign for 'people are sitting here.' **There may have been a side-eye exchange. ***I understand that the space may have changed in the [admittedly considerable] time it's been since I visited so ymmv. Plus, I was not there when there were dogs in tow. I didn't know this was a dog-friendly bar. I like my friend's dogs. Strange dogs... not so much. I don't know that I'd enjoy drinking around them. Again, ymmv.
